  1. The AFC is just ridiculous this year. It's entirely possible that an 11-5 team will miss the playoffs the year that it gets expanded to 7 teams.
  2. They...have.....played a lot....against...other NFC East teams.
  3. And I need Hunt to do as little as possible. Let's team up.
  4. That was just an awful trick play. What was the plan there?
  5. How do Nantz and Romo not understand why that's a safety?
  6. We're twice as good as we were Week 8 and they're half as good as they were. It's gonna get ugly.
  7. Sitting Tua until Fitz struggled was the easiest decision a HC could make. Mind-numbingly bad to do that at the bye.
  8. Our defense is ready to feast on these two offenses. What ugly play.
  9. Here's the logical problem with using 1st round picks on RBs: If they are anywhere south of a perennial 1,000 yard back it's a wasted pick because the NFL is chock full of serviceable starting RBs taken in rounds 4-7. If they play well enough to justify the 1st round pick, they want to get paid like it after 4 years and smart GMs don't pay long term contracts to RBs. So at that point the best move is to let them destroy some other team's salary cap. In my opinion you don't take a player in the 1st round if you don't think there's at least a chance they'll sign long term after their rookie contract and spend a decade as a Bill.
  10. Performing well against a Belichick defense is still on Josh's checklist. I think he'll do it with aplomb.
  11. For the love of God, keep Josh away from the Madden cover.
  12. Honestly you do the smart thing and take your players out when the game is decided, but the more I think about it the more I hate the idea of intentionally slowing down this stampede so that nobody gets hurt. Not the identity of this team. McD couldn't look his guys in the eye if he didn't try to win every game. I don't want one playoff win anymore, I want them all.
  13. Awesome post, sir. This is a Denver team that I've seen play with pride this season. We took their will away.
  14. I just looked it up and teams across the NFL actually have a lower than .500 winning percentage at home this season. Going to assume that's the first time ever.
  15. For two whole games though? Icing down your most important players for 21 days before a playoff run is not a SB winning formula.
  16. By the way current projections are now up to 2% for the one seed. It ain't nothing. If the Chiefs lose to the Saints, we're one fluke away from it happening.
  17. I think Miami is toast considering the Ravens schedule but IF they get a gift and can clinch a berth against us, the game will be interesting on so many levels. We'd kind of have to go to the mattresses because you don't want to provide momentum and get blown out against the team that you're playing again one week later.
  18. Poaching the 2nd seed could be significant and resting a bunch of starters against the Patriots on MNF will dent the team morale that's currently our X-factor. If our seed is locked in against Miami, on the other hand, rest away.
  19. Oh I meant one from a few years back. Turns out it wasn't a strip sack but a forced fumble on the RB. Found it here...
  20. I don't think anyone could remove that smile from his face: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/jerry-hughes-enjoy-this-tonight I always found it a little funny that Hughes was basically the one holdover starter on either side of the ball from the Whaley administration because I associated his game with flashes of brilliance interrupted by some selfish penalties and tons of "close but no cigar" moments. He did have that one amazing play against...the Browns, I think, with the strip sack and fumble. Anyway he's the Buffalo Bill that has seen the Patriots close out this division the most times and at 32 years old he probably doesn't have more than 2-3 seasons left. It put a smile on my face to know that he was the one holding the ball in the end zone on the play that effectively ended the game. And what a run! Those were seriously some RB skills.
  21. Nah, we got a couple really bad spots in our direction as well. The refs were just bad.
