I think what people often miss with these inter generational comparisons is that a prime Jim Kelly today would also be able to take advantage of all the modern stuff. Rules that favor the QB, better coaching (from childhood on), better tape, the physical science of athletics improving his arm strength, accuracy and even foot speed. This always comes up in baseball. “Babe Ruth couldn’t hit a slider.” Well, maybe he would have figured it out if it existed.

Shakir having 588 YAC on 774 total yards is insane. I think the team misses Diggs on one specific front which is winning on a route and being a man-beater on 3rd downs. But this has so far been a non issue due to the combination of Joe Brady scheming players open and Josh improvising.

The only reason to separate regular and post season accomplishments is to standardize volume stats. Something that happens over the course of a single game, there’s no meaningful difference.

Winning 3 games is easier than winning 4 is why it matters. One fewer chance for a marginal team to win a fluke game like the Rams did.

This is a big time season of the haves and the have nots. 7 teams are 10-4 or better and 9 teams are 4-10 or worse. I don't have the data but it feels like the league has been short on wild upsets.

I totally disagree because a long return has a risk of ruin factor that a single play from the 30 yard line doesn’t. The only truly unacceptable outcome there is that they score and make it 48-42 with enough time to kick back off to us and use their timeouts. Any version of them kicking onside is a win.
