  1. I say Titans barely edge the Steelers as a favored opponent but I don't think they'll beat the Ravens.
  2. Basically, yeah. If he called the entire game with a "burn the ships" mentality those calls would have made sense, but clearly the strategy was to possess the ball for 35 minutes and put up enough points to win by a single score.
  3. I realize that you can't assume how the game flow would have been affected but the Colts lost by 3 and Reich left 4 points on the field. First, there was the call to go for it on 4th and 4 when the score was 10-7. Yes, generally speaking you need to score TDs instead of FGs to beat our offense but it was late in the half after the Colts had basically imposed their will and their game plan was working as well as it possibly could. Giving the ball back without scoring was the single best way to turn the momentum. 4th and 1? Yeah, go for it. But after you lose those 3 yards it's a clear call to send out the kicker in my opinion. Next you had the 2 point conversion try which was classic overthinking. Even if you're successful and go down by 6, the opponent can still kick a FG to make it a two-score game and can make up the 2 points if they score a TD in response. The biggest thing, though, was that he left his team with one timeout and then was so passive in his calls on the final drive that the Colts only drove 41 yards in 2:37 during desperation time. I don't think I've ever seen a drive that started with that much time where the offense kept the ball but didn't even get into FG range.
  4. It was likely the team's worst game overall since the first Pats game and yet we beat an 11-5 team and got the playoff monkey off our backs. There's nobody they can't beat.
  5. Daryl Williams picked him up. That was a pure heart play. The offense recovers that fumbled maybe 5% of the time.
  6. Watching Hyde slap that ball down with authority was a thing of beauty.
  7. 20 passes and 15 runs is an unacceptable ratio in a non-blowout for this team.
  8. He's a really good returner but McKenzie is younger, cheaper and just put a TD on film. Roberts definitely playing for his job this postseason.
  9. Never mind 3rd and long. We've had other QBs where I knew the drive was over if we got behind the sticks for 2nd down.
  10. I think Rivers is going to find out what happens when you try to throw a weak out route in Tre White's direction.
  11. There's no team in the AFC field that would shock me by pulling off an upset, unlike the NFC where a couple pattycakes made it in.
  12. My top 5 plays from the regular season: 5. Justin Zimmer strips the ball from Cam Newton to secure a much needed win against the desperate Pats and a 6-2 record at mid-season. 4. Allen hits Diggs for the go ahead score against the Cardinals with 35 seconds remaining (I forget what happened next). 3. Isaiah McKenzie bamboozles the entire Dolphins punt coverage for a TD. 2. Taron Johnson gets the pick-6 to rev the Bills' engine en route to a statement-making win against the Steelers. 1. Tre strips the ball from Drew Lock and Jerry Hughes returns it for the TD, clinching the AFC East title.
  13. I've had chicken tikka masala and a veggie samosa from the local Indian place for the whole 6 game winning streak so that's not changing.
  14. Stevie wasn't a loser. But he would knowingly commit 15 yard penalties by doing celebrations that entertained him. I'm not sure he would fit in on this current squad.
  15. Imagine someone thinking that any of their life is actually happening and that their vegetative body isn't being used as a battery in a pool of brine while their brain receives electrical impulse stimuli.
  16. Everyone in the sports commentary and sports fan world rates QBs on how they're performing in the moment. It usually isn't rational but it's what we do. It's even worse with head coaches I think. All the GMs know how valuable continuity is, even through losing seasons, but fans want a head on a pike when a team underperforms and they get what they want.
  17. I have to admit I wanted to make at least one person squint at their computer trying reason out what they were reading 😛
