This throw is so good, it deserves its own thread
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
My favorite Josh Allen throw so far was in the Thanksgiving game against Dallas in 2019. We were 8-3 but everyone in the world seemed to think this was the game that would humble us. Down 7-0 and backed up at our 2 yard line on 3rd and 10 Josh evaded pressure in the end zone and then uncorked a 20-yard line drive to Cole Beasley directly between the outstretched arms of a CB and safety. Literally anyone else throwing the ball and it's 6 points coming back the other way. -
I've always thought the same of "Commentator". Why are we not just using Commenter?

Jamison Crowder, reported with broken ankle

Awful for Crowder. But I think Shakir will be a long term contributor and I'm glad he's going to be on the field a lot. -

Not every critique thread gets a huge amount of backlash. It's just that most critique threads are overly neurotic and fatalistic with not much basis in reality, and usually they are unsubstantiated with facts. You won't find much disagreement that we need better push from the interior OL in our short run game, for example. But then we also get multiple threads about rookies being busts when they've played one or two NFL games. -

I said a bad coach. I think they go something like 4-12 with a JAG and 0-16 with Hue Jackson. -

Again, he went 9-7 with a team that a bad coach genuinely could have gotten a winless season out of. It was that bad. And then he got JA and they're writing history together. The argument that having a great QB somehow reflects negatively on the legacy of the HC is so tired. Don't argue in bad faith. Do you disagree that this franchise has the best roster in football and the best team culture in football? -

SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course JA makes coaches look good. We also have the best 53-man roster in the league because of Beane and McDermott and the culture they brought in. And the year that McD broke our 17 year playoff drought it was without Josh Allen and with possibly the worst roster to ever make the playoffs in NFL history. That team was built to go 3-13. -

It's embarrassing that a post with this title is at the top of this message board. McD is a top head coach in the NFL. Have we forgotten about the wilderness he brought this franchise out of? -

Poyer getting X-Ray's
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well we would need to crap the bed against Pittsburgh for that to be a close game. Much needed against KC obviously but then there's the bye. -
And the 3-1 Giants would trade their best player because...?

The Bills' championship window is open while Josh Allen is under center. -
Does any part of you miss the losing?
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll say this - there are lower stakes to the regular season games because we know we're playoff-bound and we know that Josh can win us a Superbowl regardless of which seed we are. I was at the game on Monday and it was positively electric during the first 3 quarters (the Jackson injury aside). But once it was obvious we'd won and on the way out to the parking lot it was a rather "on to the next one" vibe. Whereas, had we won a MNF game by 34 points five years ago, it actually would have felt like winning the SB. -
I put the blame squarely on the coaches but Chubb can still realize that 100% is more than 99%.
-
The only thing making me nervous right now is that I've never experienced the Bills being the betting favorite for the SB before. Even after the KC loss in the playoffs last year there was some mocking about 13 seconds but mostly everyone was just talking about the epic game that Allen played. If we get humbled in THIS game, though, something like a loss by a TD or more, it's going to be a different story and I'll need to avoid the media for the entire week.

So the bar is in Ithaca but it's downtown and pretty new. Trying to think of what other bar it might look like. As for the eggs? I wish I knew. Just the image that popped into my head to subvert the vague business stuff. -
