It's clear to me now that the Bills are going to euthanize Josh.

The reason it's heartening for me to see stuff like that is that cynics will claim that the negative systems in place prevent people from doing the right thing and that we're all just going to circle the drain because of it. And systems do make it harder. But then you have people who just go and...do the right thing anyway. And moreover, because of the nature of the internet, anyone in power who had a problem with what Agholor did would be rendered toothless.

Props to Nelson Agholor. It takes guts to say out loud that you think a teammate shouldn't be on the field, much less being as demonstrative as he was.

I think YouTube is going to be a better tool than books here. My favorite channel is Brett Kollman’s. -
So did you make the playoffs in your fantasy league?

In the league I care most about (dynasty/auction) I snuck into the 2-seed for the first round bye for the third year straight. Unfortunately both of the last two years I proceeded to lose in both the semifinals and consolation bracket for zero money. Lost Kupp but otherwise been pretty healthy. Lineup is currently... QB - Josh RB - Rhamondre Stevenson (get well soon please) RB - Jonathan Taylor WR - DK Metcalf WR - Juju SS TE - Cole Kmet Flex - Isiah Pacheco K - Jason Myers DEF - Patriots -

The Bills are a great team with a whole mess of talented and fun players and many of the fans are more miserable than ever. -

AFC Playoff Teams projections

There’s trolling and then there’s the self flagellation of being too unable to handle losing and emotionally hedging so that you can at least say “See? I was right.” I don’t think we have many actual trolls here but a ton of the latter. -

Remember summers in elementary school? Felt like they’d never end. Now if something is 3 months away I feel like I’m behind on prepping. -
I, for one, appreciate Jerry’s comment. I’m a real man who sits in an armchair and sips dark liquor as I consume objectivist critical football journalism. Meanwhile women “fans” simply hoot and holler. I suspect that their non critical interest in the team (do they even read journalism?) is fraudulent and that their ulterior motive is finding a mate amongst the players.

Cody Ford: Dumpster Fire

Agree with everything except Oliver who is a force. I remember too many Bills defenses who gave up free yardage up the middle to not appreciate him. -

Boy I don’t miss Cody Ford. Worst miss of the Beane era. -

No real problem with the Pats winning this. If anything we need them in the hunt and scrapping for wins against Cincy and Miami. -

Do they really have to report on tv that he got to the tunnel and started sobbing? No dignity to the privacy of a devastating moment? -

FFS, keep Josh’s knees healthy ye football gods. Scary how it can happen on any play. -

You always have to wait to see how the league adjusts to rookies, but the quick eye test says he's at least skilled enough to shepherd a team with a great defense to some playoff wins. -
I thought 10-3 would feel better...
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beasley was good for two seasons and then really bad last year. Turned 112 targets into 693 yards. Gabe Davis has already surpassed Emmanuel Sanders' production from last year in fewer games. Trust me, I've been disappointed by our role players but you may be remembering last year's team with rose tinted glasses. Our regular season offense last year really wasn't better than what they're doing now. -

Lack of talent? It's pretty much the same group of guys we had in the postseason last year when the offense was unstoppable. -

I'm not saying that the Pats aren't moving on from Belichick but the notion that it specifically hinges on Week 14 against the Cardinals is nonsense.
