  1. Thanks, I appreciate it. It's not nearly as politically incorrect as the n-word, but it basically has the same connotations. And it's especially viscious when it's used against Mexican Americans who are actually citizens. By the way, just for your information "gringo" is usually meant as more of a joking term of endearment for white people. If a Hispanic person wanted to insult a white person with a racial slur he'd call him a "yanqui".
  2. Yeah, two anchormen making a joke and people laughing at it...those people are truly evil... You repubs are really grasping at straws huh? Will you ever run out of things to B word about?
  3. The only "reality" in the NFL is a team's record. At 5-3, the Bills are right in the mix of things and have a good chance at going 9-7 or 10-6 and making the playoffs even if we play average football from here on out. 5-3 is our reality, everything else is just opinion and in your case it's just meaningless pessimism.
  4. Why would the Jets have challenged the spot themselves, the initial ruling was in their favor. The Moorman play was definitely fair. The refs told the Jets they had gained the ball through turnover on downs, so they naturally declined the penalty. They weren't given the benefit of correct information to make their decision. Once the spotting was overturned, they had to be given the chance to change their minds with the new, correct information in hand. The out of bounds kickoff rule was just weird, and I'm still trying to decide if I think it's fair. Either way, incredibly heads up play by the Jets special teamer.
  5. I agree that it's a blessing that this man is dead, but it feels like you're reacting to a woman's rape with a little too much levity. One person was raped, another is dead. This isn't fun and games.
  6. You think we can't be New England? They're 5-3 just like us and their offense looked downright anemic against the Colts tonight. Anybody can beat them.
  7. Well she's a b*tch, but well within her rights. This is far from the most shocking thing we've seen from Obama detractors.
  8. Yeah, but is that causation or just coincidence? The pass defense did a serviceable job today, and losing a nickelback doesn't tend to set a team back that much.
  9. Don't you ever use that word again. My grandfather entered this country as an illegal alien in 1940. He joined the Navy when they were in desperate need for recruits and he earned his citizenship. That word is an intolerant, racist term equally offensive to Mexican Americans as the N-word is to blacks. He's 86 years old now, but he would punch your lights out if you used that word in front of him.
  10. Wait a second...57 states...57...where do I know that number? 57 Heinz varieties! Theresa Heinz Kerry...married to John Kerry... Obama is John Kerry wearing a costume! It's the scandal of the century!
  11. I agree 100%. I was arguing this point to my friends while watching the game, but everybody was just calling me a dumbass. Here's my logic to kick, and it's pretty simple. Let's say it takes a minute to score the touchdown, especially considering you have 0 timeouts left. Would you rather have 1:18 left to score a touchdown, or 15 seconds left to score a field goal? You need a TD and a FG (probably a pretty long FG either way), so hurry up and get the first score out of the way. That's my take.
  12. Throwing it to Royal isn't a problem, it's a problem when he screws up, which he didn't do today. Royal had a good game, led the team with 5 catches and 70 yards, and he made zero mistakes out there as a pass catcher (blew a couple blocks). How exactly is that a "problem"? Then again, Fine looks like he has very good hands and the speed to get open often. I didn't see much of his blocking, but I'm pretty sure it's not considered a strong suit.
  13. Wow, you're right. Haha scratch what I said. Shame on me.
  14. It's actually getting pretty funny to watch them squirm with the election coming up so quickly. They know they're powerless to change anything at this point so they just ramble on with "Looks like everybody drank the Kool-aid" and "Obama is a fraud" and "How many times is ACORN letting you vote?" Kinda like the fans of a team that is down big late in the 4th quarter, so they resort to bitching about the referees and tearing apart the other team just to make themselves feel better.
  15. So here's a question. How come when it's Mexican citizens crossing the US border to look for a better life, the United States has no responsibility to foreigners, but when it's China hypothetically attacking Taiwan we have to look out for the little guy? Smells like hypocrisy to me.
  16. That is very true, simply not a very good WR class this year, but I guess that makes up for an incredible rookie RB class. The only WR that is truly making a mark is Donnie Avery in St. Louis.
  17. Yeah, I will take a woman hired based on merit over a former player who had 10 concussions and can barely form a cogent sentence any day. Also, the women have boobies.
  18. Glug glugd dur I wanna kiss you
  19. That is rough dude.
  20. Well I figure the 4 biggest threats to Penn State currently behind them in the BCS are Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Florida, and USC. I think USC is out because of they way they got trashed by Oregon State. Same thing happened to them last year with Stanford and they never recovered in the BCS formula. Florida will most likely play Alabama in the SEC title game, so one of them has to drop eventually. Texas Tech and Oklahoma play each other in the regular season (two weeks from now I believe), and then the winner of that game will most likely go on to play Missouri in the Big 12 title game. So all things considered, it looks like Penn State is definitely the school with the best chance of making it to the Big Game.
  21. Isn't doing a pure ranking of talent on a football team kind of like comparing apples to oranges? I mean, each position has such a drastically different role, who's to say that Jackson is a better running back than Mitchell is a linebacker? It's kind of like saying, "Who was better? Lou Gehrig or Nolan Ryan?"
  22. +1 It's no surprise that we usually line Greer up on the left side where the opposition has their #1 wideout. McGee may be lightning fast, but I think Greer is just better in coverage and plays the position smarter.
  23. Ok, sarcasm meter on, sorry. It was very late at night when I posted.
