  1. I'm just yanking your chain. I'm an English major, so being a grammar/spelling nazi is the only joy I get out of life.
  2. It'll be great to have Reed back, and I sure hope Whitner and Scott are both ready to go. Scott is building up a pretty good track record of covering tight ends. Greer will be sorely missed if/when McKelvin continues to show growing pains in coverage. And what can you say about Buggs? He was the heart and soul of this team and we won't win another game without him.
  3. I must admit you are correct, duder. The time was performing well.
  4. Why do people want Mike Vick? He's a glorified running back with an attitude who has a strong arm but zero accuracy. Also, he's got an enormous attitude problem and he's a felon. On top of all that, does Buffalo really seem like the place where he'd want to live? He would never play hard for the Bills. I'd like everybody to cut the crap about Vick, because it's not going to happen and (more importantly) it shouldn't happen.
  5. Coincidence, not causation. In today's NFL the fullback exists almost exclusively for run blocking and our running game was pretty bad with Barnes in there.
  6. They might still call them the Bills, even though it wouldn't make sense. Just ask the Los Angeles Lakers (formerly Minnesota) and the Utah Jazz (formerly New Orleans) if their names make any sense.
  7. Being from Jamestown, I wouldn't be too surprised if Goodell has leanings to keep the Bills in Buffalo, even if they are subconscious leanings. Think about it. You're a kid growing up in WNY. You're a football fan. You're most likely a Bills fan. You have no idea that one day you'll have a job that demands impartiality. I know that if I ever became commish, I'd bring a pro-Bills agenda to the job.
  8. So you're embarrassed by fans who think we can make the playoffs when we're 1 game out of the wild-card hunt. Then I guess you'd find me embarrassing.
  9. Well I certainly wouldn't go looking for an optician in an entirely different city.
  10. Are you aware that the Bills run a zone defense and that Edwards' 3 biggest receptions were the result of Ko Simpson being late on the coverage when McGee became responsible for covering the flat? Are you are that Quinn threw at Edwards 19 times and that Edwards not picking up 8 receptions and at least 100 yards would have been absolutely pathetic?
  11. Vinnie Iyer is a no-name? I've heard of him. He does a good job, like most writers on the Sporting News. And now we're attacking reporters who deride us AND reporters who compliment us?
  12. I'm travelling up from Cornell to see my Big Red face 'Cuse on December 3rd. Should be a really good game. I say Cornell wins by 5. I'm coming with the whole sports department of my radio station and we're trying to recruit others to make the trip as well so that the Big Red can have a sizeable cheering section.
  13. I don't think Kardashian is even remotely pretty, despite the rack. She has a weird looking face IMO.
  14. From what I've been told, she is "famous for being famous". I think that means she has enough money to mingle with celebrities because of her dead father, so she is a celebrity by default.
  15. McGee played a tremendous game last night. All the cornerbacks did, but McGee had 6 pass deflections, which is a relatively gaudy statistic if you're unaware. However, I do believe that Greer is the better coverage corner and is worth the investment. I would have preferred to keep McGee for his kick returning skills until McKelvin came along.
  16. And Lee can't be an exception as well? The man is on pace for over 1100 yards on the season. He only has 3 TDs but we are just allergic to throwing into the end zone so he can't be blamed for that.
  17. You can't put a price on the experience of actually being there in the trenches with your fellow fans. Also, you get a much better grip on what actually happened during the game when you have a birdseye view of everything from the upper decks. I love it.
  18. You should get hit by a 6 foot 3, 260 pound linebacker on a crossing route and see if you're laughing. If you see that kind of thing as entertainment you should probably be locked up before you hurt someone. Sounds like the words of a sociopath to me.
  19. I think that might be Miller, but yeah there is no point in knocking Timmy for anything other than him being injury prone. By the way, nobody should ever be allowed to call an NHL player a p*ssy until they've played some serious hockey themselves.
  20. How many times did Edwards throw 4 in one game? Certainly not yesterday.
  21. I hope you are kidding about number 2. The one knock on McKelvin was him not having good hands, so I have no idea why they would try your suggestion. And, what? Did Losman do something to you? Yeah, he shouldn't be starting but why do you want him injured?
  22. Oh come on, two losses is bad but you got a lot of bang for your buck. Two instant classics no matter who won, and don't tell me you didn't have a good time up until the final seconds of each game.
  23. Well, here are the wild card teams at the moment Indy 6-4 Baltimore 6-4 New England 6-4 Dolphins 6-4 Bills 5-5 If we go 10-6 on the season (let's just hypothetically say we lose to the Broncos) we'll be 3-3 in the division and 7-5 in the conference. So I wouldn't say winning out is necessary, it just depends on who we lose to. If we lose to another AFC East team, you might as well bury us.
  24. No, I'm sorry, I'd say that the CB makes the pick 2 out of 10 times in that situation. Granted, Leodis doesn't have great hands. He only had 3 interceptions throughout his entire college career at Troy. But CBs don't get drafted in the first round to make interceptions (unless it's the idiot falcons taking Hall). They get paid to play well in coverage, something Leodis did very well yesterday. When you add his returning prowess, I do not even remotely regret picking him.
