  1. Just another historical footnote fading into obscurity.
  2. It's Hasselbeck, people. Normally I'm not the spelling watchdog, but you're the second person in the thread to spell it Hasselbach.
  3. Boller, Harrington, Grossman, and Beck are most certainly not upgrades of any sort. And I'm seriously doubting Anderson is anything other than mediocre either.
  4. I'm not the smoothest guy in the world myself, and people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, but c'mon man that's just straight up dumb. Hahaha bet you wish you could have that one back.
  5. I agree for the most part, except for two things. Ko Simpson has been a very solid defender this year and I'm assuming you define "good play" as "interception". No, he doesn't have any INTs but does that matter one bit? Also, the pass to Roscoe was deflected by the man covering him.
  6. Why? Are we having difficulty finishing up the food at the pre-game buffet? That's the only position I'd be comfortable having Reid fill.
  7. Ok, explain to me exactly what the Missouri system is and how it doesn't translate into the NFL. "Product of the system" is just what people say when a good quarterback doesn't have desirable physicality. Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan, products of the system. Chase Daniel, good quarterback.
  8. To me, the drive screams "JP Losman".
  9. It's not the Cali players, it's the play calling. Bad weather is all about running the ball (which we were doing very well with Lynch, who is from Cali), and yet he only got 16 carries and 1 in the fourth quarter.
  10. Matt Stafford, and the Lions will be taking him with the first overall pick. Rumor is that Chase Daniel from Missouri will be dropping to the second (maybe even third) round. If he's there, I say we take him. He's not getting respect because he is 5' 11", but I've seen him play a few times and his height doesnt seem to disable him in any way. Next Drew Brees perhaps?
  11. I think this is Roger Goodell. What should he be suspended for? Taking out a receiver on a tipped ball or leading with his shoulder?
  12. I'm totally with you on this one. I remember being emotionally devastated after the Cleveland loss and thinking I might just wait til next season to watch another game. I was all prepared to make the Sabres my predominant team. Then Sunday rolled around and I was back to being decked out in my Bills gear and walking to my friend's apartment to see the game. It is an addiction.
  13. It's my understanding that almost every coach chooses to defer when he wins the toss. I don't have the statistics in front of me, but you're acting like Jauron is unique in this strategy. That said, fire Jauron now.
  14. and something tells me you're a friggen DOUCHEBAG
  15. because they lost today?
  16. Is that code for hiring Belichick?
  17. And wide receivers seem to be dumber than your average pro athlete for some reason.
  18. I haven't seen the background, but my guess would be Oakland perhaps?
  19. The 1000 yards and 8 TDs I mentioned includes his impressive receiving yards. And if you're implying that his laughing means he doesn't take the game seriously enough, then yeah I guess it might appear like that, but as long as he tries his ass off everytime he touches the ball then that's good enough. He's just having a fun time out there playing a kid's game. I think the sport could use more guys like that.
  20. I hate the Patriots for how they run up the score and illegally hit players without punishment, and seem to have the refs in their bankroll (wasnt called for a SINGLE holding call in 2007)...not for the illegal taping scandal. I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if every team hasn't dabbled in taping as it's a relatively easy thing to get away with (Pats were only caught because Mangini blew them in). In other words, I hate the Pats but not because of the spying scandal like most people.
  21. Are you actually saying that Marshawn doesn't give 200% on every play? Because if you are, I am confident in saying that you haven't been watching the games. Say what you want about the effectiveness of his style of running, but insinuating that Marshawn (who has 1000 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns) doesnt try is just plain ignorant. Marshawn is one of the top 5 players on our team in my opinion.
  22. Poz's comment would be perfect if he didn't include the word "considered". It was probably just a slip of the tongue, and I'm guessing his sentiment was "it's frustrating how we're playing and we want to improve as a defense". Nothing wrong with that, but again that's just my inference.
  23. If I were you I'd do what my brother does. He has season tickets but he can only make it to 2-3 games a year, so he just sells the remaining tickets on ebay and actually makes a sizeable profit off of it. He does the same for Sabres games and all in all, he makes a few thousand dollars. Of course, the system only works if the venues are selling out.
  24. I'd like to note that I can't remember a single instance when a Bills player overreacted to a TD, INT, sack (well, there havent been many) this year. Say what you want about Dick, he at least seems to have his players on the straight and narrow. I can't remember any disciplinary issues in his regime either.
