  1. And some people are fine with the NFL adding more teams.
  2. The Broncos, Raiders and Colts all get F- grades for the season. Everyone thought the AFC would be incredibly tough but it's really just the 3 or 4 teams at the top.
  3. Wait...was Hackett getting to spend a season as an NFL HC Doug Marrone's second miracle?
  4. They'll never admit this out loud but Hackett was an important part of their plan to court Rodgers and then they got stuck with both him and a way worse QB.
  5. The 2022 Broncos have to be one of the worst failures of all time, right? Given their aspirations and the resources they parted with?
  6. When someone does enough posts fluffing up an AFC rival around here there should be a rule that they have to come do an analysis of their failed predictions or get perma-banned.
  7. McDaniel got the Gatorade bath in Week 3. Can’t be surprised they fell off after winning their personal SB so early.
  8. It would be very surprising to me if the SB wasn't some permutation of Bills, Chiefs, Bengals, Eagles and 49ers. Don't believe in the Vikings or Cowboys. Then again, who had Rams over Bengals last year?
  9. Provided Josh is healthy we can hit the snooze button on our way to division championships until one of the other three teams picks up a franchise QB.
  10. They should turn the corner but they won't. The sheer arrogance of heading into a season with no leadership on offensive coaching would get all other 31 HCs fired. But with a fistful of SB rings? Belichick will walk away when he wants to.
  11. So we're now 4 games ahead over the course of 15 games and the Fins have a negative point differential for the season. Is the division still a toss up for years to come?
  12. The track record of RBs who touch the ball as many times as he has this season is really bad. He will very likely get injured next season. There's earnestly nothing wrong with our current RB room. The offense just flows through our all world QB.
  13. Definitely not what I was saying! Just tough.
  14. This throws it into sharp relief just how hard it is to win the big one. Let's assume the following win probabilities... Bengals: 60% Patriots: 85% Divisional round opponent: 75% Championship round opponent: 60% SB opponent: 50% Winning all five = 11.4% Of course there's also the path where we lose one of the regular season games and have to win 4 straight playoff games, probably only one at home, yielding roughly the same chances. So you add those together to get about a 20% chance. And I'm really not pessimistic about this! A bunch of the other playoff teams have like a 3-5% chance. It's just hard.
  15. The official scorer makes a judgment call on whether the QB was intending to run or pass.
  16. I don’t know man. They went to the SB last year and are on a 7 game win streak right now . Trying to rank the Bills, Bengals and Chiefs is really hard.
  17. Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.
  18. I couldn’t tell you how it figures into the NFL’s decision making but it’s a practical roadblock in my opinion. Types of games like Titans/Texans and Browns/Saints today will become even more the norm.
  19. Coincidentally a +1 point differential is what the Dolphins have for the season. Ours is +157. The teams aren’t close, although of course they can beat us “any given Sunday”.
  20. I'm always curious about what people mean by a complete game. A game with no mistakes? Well that happens once in a blue moon. Cincy is tough but not some historic juggernaut. Maybe we'll turn the ball over to them and then they'll cough it up right back. You just need more points at the end of 60 minutes.
  21. Well you don't cough up the ball 18 times and win MVP most of the time. Whether or not it's fair that's a disqualifier. But for my money we're a 12-3 team with Josh and something like a 7-8 team without him so I don't really care about the awards.
  22. I don’t agree with this characterization. The three close losses to the Jets, Dolphins and Vikings are completely balanced by the tight wins against the Lions, Ravens and Chiefs. The way small sample variance goes we could be anywhere between 9-6 and 15-0, so 12-3 represents the team’s accomplishments well.
  23. Ultimately the division was a laugher. The other three teams have been hemorrhaging losses.
