  1. Do you not understand the reference or are you just lame?
  2. Wes Welker is arguably the most consistent yardage producer among fantasy WRs. As TDs are generally random with wideouts, always go with the go that's going to get you 7 receptions and 80-90 yards.
  3. How do Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey keep getting work?
  4. Don't bother, it's a ridiculously long article in which Bill Simmons absolves Manny of all blame and dumps it on Scott Boras, who Simmons claims manipulated Manny into acting the way he did. Yeah, Boras is a douche but this one's all on Manny. He makes his own decisions.
  5. I can't respect Manny because of the way he jogs on the field, both in left field and running out ground balls. When he isn't fighting for a contract, I feel like he doesn't give a crap. I'm a baseball purist and I get so pissed when I see him standing at home plate admiring a home run that turns out to be a double, but that he turns into a long single because he didn't run out of the box. I found it so ironic that he and Pedroia shared the same uniform. Put Dustin's heart in Manny's body and you've got yourself the greatest player of all time.
  6. It's not like he picked the DR out of a hat, it's his family's heritage and he spent a good deal of his childhood there. And don't try to tell me that the DR team is more "loaded" than the American team...they just have more national pride and work better together as a unit than America. If you put the 9 best American players on the field, they should be able to wipe the floor with ANY team. Pitcher - CC Sabathia Catcher - Joe Mauer First Base - Lance Berkman Second Base - Dustin Pedroia Shortstop - Jimmy Rollins Third Base - David Wright Left Field - Ryan Braun Center Field - Josh Hamilton Right Field - Matt Holliday (plays in left, but corner outfielders can switch easily) That team could beat literally any other. The problem is many don't feel like risking injury, whereas players from other nations actually feel repping their culture is important. If the guys listed above don't want to play, that ain't Arod's problem.
  7. I'm still waiting to hear how this is a douchebag move.
  8. Straight vodka's the way to go.
  9. Exactly. And he still hasn't explained his beef with Arod playing for the Dominican.
  10. Oh no! He's honoring his family and heritage! What has the world come to? I'm a diehard Yankees fan myself, and I hate all the A-rod haters? First, no matter how "clutch" he is, he gives you 35 home runs and 100 RBIs in his BAD years. Who wouldn't want this guy in their lineup. And I know you're going to point to how he doesn't come up in big situations, so I'll remind you that he hit .462 in the 9th inning in 2007 to go along with 6 walk-off hits. And how can you call him a douche? He seems like one of the nicer guys in the sport.
  11. I just find it pathetic that Ryan Denney leads an NFL team in sacks. But we're not as pathetic as the Chiefs, who I think still only have 6 or 7 sacks on the season still.
  12. For anybody in the area, I'd suggest going to the game if only to watch Hasheem Thabeet. Could he be the one to drag the OKC Thunder out of the toilet?
  13. A 6 inch Veggie Delight from Subway with no mayo or cheese! - Jared
  14. The Grammys don't reward good musicians, they reward popular musicians. And as far as I know, it's the only awards show to act that way. Just ridiculous.
  15. Nice 100% I win. I'd like to thank my AP government, economics, and US history teachers from high school.
  16. I'm really glad this stupid thread is here twice.
  17. So he gets primarily assigned to the #1 wide receivers because we feel like boosting his self esteem?
  18. McGee was still partially hobbled by his injury when we faced Miami the first time. If there's one guy we should not be criticizing, it's McGee. He's arguably been our best overall player this year.
  19. I was still glad to be at the game, even if Cornell lost. I want to note though that Louis Dale, our star point guard and last year's Ivy League MVP is out with a hamstring injury. I think Cornell wins that game with Dale in there. The way I see it Syracuse looks like a 3-4 seed and Cornell should be a 13 or 14 if they win the Ivy League again (we will). So a rematch is possible.
  20. Same with Jamarcus Russell and Kyle Boller. A strong arm means jack sh*t when rating a QB in my opinion, but GMs salivate all over them.
  21. This is true. My idea for Vick is to punish him the way Hammurabi would. Make him fight one of the dogs that he starved and trained to kill. It'd be interesting to see just how long he lasted. I'd give him about 5 minutes, being an athlete and all.
  22. I wouldn't exactly equate Burress with Vick. Yeah, Burress was holding but the only person he hurt was himself. What Vick did is unforgivable, Burress is just dumb.
  23. I would doubt the validity of this, but Adam Schefter is rarely if ever wrong.
  24. You'd have a point if the US's official language was English. When the majority of America is Hispanic (somewhere around 2035 I believe), do you want people insisting that you learn Spanish to conform?
