It's meant to be a tool to help even the playing field in terms of college admissions for black students, the great majority of whom don't have the advantages of extra curricular activities and SAT prep courses. A black student often has a less impressive college resume than a white student of equal intelligence because he had fewer advantages in his school system. Affirmative action does its best to make things a little more fair. I'm not saying it's a perfect system, but to call it discrimination toward white kids is just plain wrong.

Arrested Development, in my opinion the funniest series of all time. The final line of the show is basically Ron Howard promising the fans an AD movie...now it's over 4 years later and still no movie.

But the thing is, you can't really blame the girls on the team, just the coach. The girls were stuck between a rock and a hard place. They could either disobey their coach or continue to embarass the other team. Especially at the high school level, players ought to do just as their coach tells them to do.

I still say Troy Smith never got a fair shake. The Ravens never really tested him out in their 5-11 season before drafting Flacco. To me, he isn't a bust, he just never got a shot.

Damn, it IS awful dusty in here. I'm not the most sentimental of people, so I didn't think it would get dusty, but man did it get dusty. We had a golden when I was a little kid, and my parents had to put her down when she started getting these really bad seizures. One of the worst experiences of my life. As a parent, I'll do my best to try to make sure the kids aren't little when the dog dies.
