  1. That "silly Geneva Convention" set international laws for treatment of prisoners of war and we ratified it...which means we should abide by it. Call me old fashioned.
  2. Despite my natural instinct to hate a Mickey Rourke movie about professional wrestling (seriously, how do those two elements combine to make a good movie?), I've heard he gives an absolutely gripping performance.
  3. There's something I haven't told all of you. I'm actually Governor Paterson and I've been masquerading as SageAgainstTheMachine, hoping for some brave soul on this message board to declare themselves a candidate for the Senator seat. Congratulations /dev/null, you are the new Senator. Be at Capitol Hill tomorrow. Also, I'm not really blind. K, bye.
  4. And I don't usterstand how you're so willing to just crumple up the writs of the Geneva Convention and toss them in the trash because you think there's a more efficient way to get people to talk. We can get information and intelligence from terrorists without selling our soul to do it.
  5. And you know what beverage goes with NOTHING? Eff-ing grapefruit juice. I wanted to start eating healthier, so I decided to go for natural juices (basically nothing with high fructose corn syrup) instead of soda. I'm a big fan of grapefruit juice, so I decided to stock up on that. But here's the problem...it doesn't taste good with any foods. It makes everything else taste like sh*t. Now I'm stuck with all this grapefruit juice in my fridge and I can't drink it with meals.
  6. That's a nice list...goes to show that tight ends rarely bust. Davis is the exception, and I think Greg Olsen will pan out once the Bears work out a competent passing game.
  7. So what happens when it turns out that one of the prisoners is wrongfully imprisoned? Hey, it's not common but it happens. That's the reason for the lengthy appeals process when any American is handed the death penalty. But you'd prefer that we just slaughter all suspected terrorists and international criminals.
  8. I wouldn't necessarily mind it, but I could definitely see Coffman being an equal (or even better tight end). If we can afford to pick him up in the second round, AND get a premiere DE in the first, that's the way to go for sure.
  9. sorry, crayonz beat you to the punch about 10 posts up^
  10. And by the way, I frankly don't care if the threat of a terrorist attack has gone up (which I severly doubt it has). I take a bigger risk by getting behind the wheel of my car or even stepping off the curb onto an icy road than I do by not protecting myself from some hypothetical attack. You can live in fear if you want to, but I'm just going to keep on living, thank you.
  11. Yeesh, girls can get knocked up from going down? I have to be more careful...
  12. Here's what I've always wondered...if there was a punter that could down the ball at the 1 yard line on every single punt (lets call him robopunter), would you draft him first overall?
  13. On a related note, it looked like she was doing experiments involving a Foulcault's Pendulum...is that, something to do with the earth's rotation, going to have something to do with the island's time travelling capabilities?
  14. You kiddin? Sawyer's the freakin man...better him than whiny-boy Jack if you ask me.
  15. Cornell > Everybody Bracket Busters this year baby! 11-6, 1-0 in Ivy League...looking to sweep the Ivy's again.
  16. You're seriously saying Ledger doesn't deserve a nomination? Did you watch the freakin' movie? If The Joker was considered the "lead part" (which it could have been, imo), then he'd be a runaway for Best Actor.
  17. Yeah, seriously. Eastwood would win Best Actor for me, and Gran Torino would certainly get a nomination. Get off my lawn.
  18. I think she's going to turn out to be Daniel's mother, who Desmond was told to find at Oxford. She seemed to be doing physics related things in the basement of that darkly lit church place. I'm not sure how I feel about this whole "island moving in time" deal...the plot arcs are getting a little too sci-fi for my taste, but this still promises to be an awesome season...it's a character-driven show, and all the actors seem to be in top form.
  19. Under Singletary, Davis averaged 2 receptions and 27 yards a game. Remarkably similar to his sh*tty career stats.
  20. Actually, Napoleon was average in height for a man in that day and age.
  21. Hmmmm Obama's been President for a full 24 hours and the world hasn't imploded upon itself yet? Maybe we can afford to peek our heads out from under the bunkers.... nah, best not to risk it.
