Josh Allen finishes the 2022 regular season with...
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The "Favre with legs" comparison keeps on proving itself. Josh will continue to get lots of TDs, turnovers and wins. Realistically I think he's the most valuable player in the NFL but he'll lose the award more often than not to someone who doesn't give fans the same heart palpitations...and yet the wins are there! I think that just means he recovered 5 of them himself, not that 8 were lost. -

Better numbers? I don't know. Some rookie WRs really flash in their first season. Or maybe we can get a reliable FA for much cheaper that can replicate those numbers. 836 yards on 93 targets, many of them trying to push the ball down the field, is not good. In all cases, I'd rather pay any combination of Edmunds, Poyer and Oliver. -

It's more to do with efficiency. Gabe's numbers are really bad for the number of balls thrown his way by an elite QB. -

Heat of the moment, you throw to who's open. We definitely can't sink any more money into the guy though, even if he does show up in the playoffs. -

Josh flipped a switch back on in the 3rd quarter that had been off for several games, looking to hit several deep balls. If Gabe catches his, we're talking about a 300 yard 4 TD game. -

7 games in a row! This board was so pessimistic after we dropped to 6-3 but then we ran the table…and board stayed pessimistic 😆 -

Never a bad day to beat the Pats. I’m looking forward to the close up on Belichick’s face when he realizes the game is out of reach. -

If you really believe that the NFL tells referees who to make calls against and that nobody has ever leaked this I’ve got a staged moon landing to sell you. -
Damn, another season where all the away games are on the road.

Damn we’re going with full on conspiracy theory mode right now on this board, huh? -

Don’t sweat this game y’all. The Raiders weren’t ever going to win. Bills either capture lightning in a bottle in the postseason or they don’t. -

Why is LV not using timeouts here? McDaniels is clueless. -
Honestly I can't stand motivational speaker schtick. They aren't actual leaders, they're people who learn rhetoric and get paid to talk at corporate retreats. People raising money for uninsured dying relatives, people being shot execution style? Those are grave symptoms of social disease, not a "dog fight".

The calendar is going to flip a couple times and we'll be on to the Patriots and we'll think of Damar. Then it'll flip a few more times and it will be the first round of the playoffs and we'll think of Damar. And then more time will pass and we'll think of him less and less because time does its thing. A few years from now we'll say "Oh man, remember when..." But it's important to keep little nuggets of wisdom and I'll always remember this day when we found out he survived and when things like losing coin flips don't feel so unlucky after all.
