  1. I realize that, KO. I just tire of the "What would the founding fathers think?" argument. They weren't deities.
  2. Yeah, those slave owning founding fathers NEVER would have stood for racial preference like this.
  3. How is it not good? There are probably about 100 middle linebackers in the NFL and he's ranked 19th.
  4. I don't know how I became Crayonz' favorite target, but I consider it an honor.
  5. Skooby, nobody knows the answer to that question. And everybody's getting tired of your act.
  6. I agree 100% that this private institution has the right to stop providing funding to a student group. Having said that, why do you say "Good for them."? This move seems awfully petty. Institutions of higher learning should embrace all different viewpoints, and I don't see the logic in this unless the students in question were causing trouble of some sort (which it doesn't sound like they were). And by the way, I'm not a liberal and I'm not just instinctively jumping on Falwell's brain child...I think this is ethically questionable whether you're dealing with a predominately conservative OR predominately liberal institution.
  7. You've gotta love the double standard. If a male teacher takes advantage of a 12 year old girl, he's considered lower than the scum of the earth and is a social pariah/pervert (as he should be). When it's a female teacher taking advantage of a 12 year old boy, she gets to host Hot for Teacher night, and major media outlets print puff pieces about her.
  8. There's no evidence that this interview actually happened...looks fabricated to me.
  9. Oh come on, don't you know anything? You don't just DUMP a colony of fire ants on him...you drop them on his face one by one.
  10. Here's the system I would propose...it might seem crazy, but it's actually pretty strategically nuanced. It's still sudden death. First there's a coin flip. The winner decides if they want to kick or receive. But here's the difference...On offense, you aren't allowed to try for a field goal and you aren't allowed to punt. So if you win the toss and choose to receive, you run the risk of going 4 and out and giving the other team possession on your own 20 yard line. If you choose to kick, you might be giving the game away BUT if you trust your defense to make a few plays, you might be giving yourself the aforementioned field position. Again, first team to score a touchdown wins, and each possession is either the game winning TD or a turnover on downs.
  11. That child is going to be permanently traumatized, not to mention blind. Why can't we give the death penalty for this kind of thing?
  12. NFL - Buffalo Bills MLB - New York Yankees NHL - Buffalo Sabres NBA - Charlotte Bobcats 1. MLB 2. NFL 3. NHL 4. NBA
  13. also... pay attention to the lyrics
  14. I like Losman, the guy, as well. But these statements he made are just one more piece of evidence that talk is cheap. I'd rather have a QB with a quiet resolve for perfection than one who talks a big game and doesn't have the intestinal or mental fortitude to back it up. Best of luck to JP in his future endeavours, but I will eat my hat if he is ever considered an above average quarterback anywhere.
  15. Charrrrliieeeeeee...Charrrrrlieeeeeeee...come to Candy Mountain Charliieee.
  16. A police officer takes an oath to protect and serve, yes? Whether you like it or not, that oath includes criminals who do not pose an immediate threat to an officer's or another citizen's livelihood. The man did not pose an immediate threat once he was unconscious, so the officers were categorically wrong to further harm him. For all they knew, his spinal cord was hanging on by a thread and they could have permanently paralyzed him or killed him. Would anybody here be defending the officers if they had just shot him in the head and killed him while he was unconscious? That's a risk they were taking. These officers are FORTUNATE if all that happens to them is getting fired.
  17. Biel is hotter than Alba by orders of magnitude
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw5eTaGSKPc Not exactly "haunting" per se, but delightfully creepy.
  19. Yeah it is a fond memory, even if it's a little bit cheesy. As for songs, I always thought this was a bit haunting for whatever reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUSu_P1LpiQ
  20. We always used to sing a patriotic song in elementary school. This was 10 years ago, but I think they still do it where I went to school.
  21. http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/news;_ylt...p&type=lgns Here's to hoping Amy gets better and that the media doesn't hound the family too much.
  22. Even from an unbiased perspective (well, i can never be COMPLETELY unbiased), these are three of the worst fan bases to me. I gave the Lions #2 out of pity.
  23. Exactly, and let's not forget that he's also a player in the NFL (not a very well known one, but an NFL player nonetheless). I'm sure he gets plenty of sexual release without ever having to masturbate.
  24. As long as nobody is being coerced into the plural marriage (as was sometimes the case in the Mormon culture), I say live and let live. If it makes somebody happy, and nobody is getting hurt, why not? I'm not exactly passionate about this issue...I like women and I only want to marry one of them, like most guys. But if somebody wants to do it a different way, I won't get on their case.
