  2. Yes, the Bills lost and that's never a good thing... BUT you've gotta like what you saw from the team today. 1. Trent is the QB of the future. Absolutely sick spirals today and you could tell he was upset after the INTs which is always a good thing. A decade from now we'll all be asking if Trent can win "one for the thumb". Also, we have a bold quarterback who isn't afraid to throw deep. That's how you get yourself intercepted but it's also how you gain many many yards. 2. James Reed. I don't know where we found this kid, but he's going to be a playmaker. Great reception in the end zone, hopefully more to come. 3. 6 sacks of the quarterback today. That's quite a few and sacks go a long way toward scoring points and field position. 4. Aaron Mayhem Mayben was all over the field. This guy fell to 11? wow! 5. Dolphins scored points with their running game, but Henney? We made this seasoned vet look like a rookie today. 6. I bet Rob Brando is on the phone right now to trade for Miami's fullback Polite...this guy was a monster (and hopefully a future Bill) Those are the things that stood out to me. We lost the game, but will win the war! I can see an 11-5 season and the playoffs, starting with a big win against a very tough Browns team (upset special!)
  3. I'd hazard to guess that Favre has thrown more checkdowns than any other quarterback in the NFL this year. His yards per attempt is a pitiful 6.0, lower than Trent's. Oh wait, I forgot Favre was still the Gunslinger, my bad.
  4. New life goal: Wait until there's only one more panda left on Earth, and then eat it. I also want to eat the next Triple Crown winning horse.
  5. Everybody knows that male pandas have difficulty mating in captivity because they are all just holding out for a 3-way.
  6. Yeah, seriously. I love how defenses are fallaciously ranked by total yardage and not efficiency. I bet we're middle of the pack when it comes to yards per attempt.
  7. I tried getting an interview with Ling Wong, but his handlers said "You can't do that. It's a live bear, he will literally rip your face off."
  8. I don't really understand how a Jacksonville team was expected to succeed in the first place. It's not a big city from a population standpoint, and football fans from the state of Florida already had the Dolphins, Buccaneers, Gators, Seminoles, Hurricanes, etc, etc, etc to follow. That's Econ 101, don't supersaturate a market.
  9. Hangartner has been great, and so has the rest of the line. If I wasn't a Bills fan and you told me Levitre and Wood were rookies, I wouldn't believe you. Bell has shown some inexperience, but he's doing a better job than I expected out of Walker. Jonathan Scott didn't look bad yesterday, but it'll be interesting to see if we sign a replacement for Butler.
  10. So basically Schouman, Fine, and Stupar are all the same player because they are white, but Nelson is a game changer because he's not. Got it.
  11. I gotta admit, I'm pretty embarrassed that this made it to the internet. At least you all know what my voice sounds like now.
  12. He'll feel the love when the score is 7-0 Bills with 14:51 left in the first quarter
  13. Actually, we would be tied for 3rd...Jets won yesterday.
  14. I think you'll get that cupping with any pepperoni that employs a natural casing, and pepperoni with an artificial casing will remain flat. Unfortunately, most places seem to use pepperoni with artificial. I could go for some Picasso's with pepperoni right now.
  15. That's the great thing about attending less popular sporting events...the players are very engaging and you rarely find the prototypical narcissistic athlete. As cool as it is to watch the best in the world compete, it's always very refreshing when you go to something like an LPGA event, or a minor league baseball game, or a D-league basketball game, etc.
  16. I was in the 7th grade back then. I remember that it was my lunch period when I first heard about it. All the students and most of the teachers seemed to be operating under the assumption that the whole thing was a tragic accident. Soon enough, it was pretty evident that the country was under attack and a lot of parents came to pick up the kids. I stayed at school for the day because my Mom couldn't get out of work, and I remember my English teacher was just at a loss for words to explain what had happened. When I finally got home, I just sat down and watched CNN with my parents and sister all day. I think I was in shock for the most part, but it all settled in when I went to bed. I remember I ended up crying myself to sleep. It was definitely something of a loss of innocence for me. Just something I'll never forget.
  17. You weren't predicting, you said they had it wrapped up. There's a difference. I wouldn't have even responded if you said "I think ____ and _____ and _____ will make the playoffs"
  18. How am I supposed to know? The season hasn't even begun, except for Pitt and Tennessee. To say anybody has it "wrapped up" is distinctly fallacious, and you can't deny that. Who had the Dolphins winning the AFC East last season? Who had the Cardinals one defensive stop away from being Superbowl champions? There billions of different permutations on what can happen...maybe Brady goes down week 1 again and the Pats* absolutely suck. I don't know who's going to make the playoffs, and neither do you. That's why they play the games, brother.
  19. While I appreciate the sentiment, it's unrealistic to expect an announcer's biases to not bleed through in the heat of the moment. By the way it's Collinsworth.
  20. So I can cross off "Make eball spit out his coffee" from my To-Do list? Seriously though, an announcer's job is to excite the viewing audience and nobody does that better than him. I'm always disappointed when there's a close NCAA tourney game and Gus isn't on duty.
  21. Collinsworth is good. Gus Johnson is the best in the business.
  22. False. If you pay attention, major upsets happen on a daily basis in the world of sports. You're probably one of these guys that tries to judge a player by the preseason of his rookie year right?
