  1. It's a tricky one, for sure. My opinion is that it's murder. What if he had just started indiscriminately shooting bullets into the side of the car, and one happened to kill her? Where do you draw the line? A deadly weapon is a deadly weapon, and when you use one you have to live with whatever the consequences are.
  2. In my best Homer Simpson: Mmmmmmmm. Online Cheeese.
  3. I'm not 100% sure, but Biscuit is usually pretty level-headed, so I'd hazard that he was being sarcastic.
  4. Complete revisionist history. Schobel had plenty of big plays. 19 forced fumbles in his time as a Bill. Nobody will confuse him for a hall of famer or anything, but he's undoubtedly the best defensive Bills player of the last decade.
  5. RIP Ted, if this is true...still unconfirmed His career was never a dump truck, always a series of tubes.
  6. Has it ever been to the extent that an album was announced though?
  7. David Lee Roth returns. Michael Anthony is messing around with Hagar and Chickenfoot, so he's replaced by Eddie's son Wolfgang. Discuss. http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/stopthepr...administration/
  8. And of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Cornell's spectacular course, Robert Trent Jones GC. It's pretty expensive, but the student discount knocks it down to reasonable levels, so I've gotten to play it several times. The 2nd hole was host to my hole in one.
  9. From the wikipedia article... "Pine Valley Golf Club is a highly exclusive club. Male-only membership is by invitation from the board of directors only. There are about 1,300 members spread throughout the world, and the list is a closely guarded secret. [2] The only way a guest is allowed into the club is if they are invited by a member and accompanied by one. Women are permitted to play the course on Sunday afternoons." This type of elitist snobbery is my least favorite part of the game.
  10. So aside from the great courses we've played around the world, what are your favorite courses in WNY? My "home courses" (the ones I'm most familiar with) are Dande Farms CC and Elma Meadows. Probably the most fun I've ever had was at the Links at Ivy Ridge. Buffalo Tournament Club is a promising course, but it's still relatively new and underfinished (fairways are wispy and bare is the biggest problem).
  11. Yeah, but not everybody's Tom Watson. These guys hit the wall in terms of being competitive at a certain age. I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but Occum's Razor here is that Vijay is just getting old.
  12. I love it when guys on this board go for the "I told you so" just because a rookie we "should have drafted" is getting complimented by reporters during training camp.
  13. Because he's arguably the most dominant golfer of all time and he's playing horribly.
  14. Relating my own experiences as a golfer, the game is indeed more mental than anything. Granted, I'm a 10-handicap playing on cheap public courses, but a lot of the same stuff still applies. The physical portion of the game can use tweaks from time to time, but it's largely muscle memory. Put simply, if you're able to truly clear your mind and have confidence that you can land your 7-iron within 15 feet of the pin, you'll succeed more often than not. Have confidence that you've judged the ensuing putt correctly and it has a pretty good chance of going in...that's how you score birdies and pars instead of bogies.
