  1. I was in 7th grade when it happened. It was 11:00 before the school told us anything officially, so there were a lot of scary rumors flying around among the students...one of the kids had everybody convinced full out nuclear war had commenced. It's very difficult to believe that it's been 9 years. Just one of those days that will always be seared into my brain.
  2. So we love Spiller for talking Superbowl, but we hate Whitner for talking a week 1 win? Just trying to keep track.
  3. Patriots all the way, though the Jets are increasingly getting on my nerves. I know I'm supposed to despise the Dolphins, but I'm too young to remember the rivalry days.
  4. Agreed. I'm entertained by posters on this board who constantly accuse professional football players of being wimps. I'd love to see them cower in fear if they ever stepped onto the gridiron.
  5. I get it bud, no need to get all sardonic on me. I wasn't expecting contrition or anything, I just wanted to point out that I've worked with people who relish in "getting revenge" on annoying customers and it's always bothered me.
  6. Hey, all I'm saying is that people can be annoying at times...it's still better to take the high road. Sorry if it seemed like I was judging you, I might've phrased myself too harshly, but I'm perturbed by people who can't maintain professionalism.
  7. I gotta say man, I hate that attitude. I've worked my fair share of crappy customer service jobs and I've worked with some people like you, who just hate the customers. Yeah, some of them are asshats but your job is to make them happy so long as they're not being completely unreasonable. Expecting medium wings when you order medium wings isn't unreasonable, and there's no excuse for lashing out like that. Sure, everybody makes mistakes, but you seem quite proud of this one.
  8. It's actually Michael Clarke Duncan. Agreed though, definitely a B Movie but funny at times. I'm a sucker for movies by The Broken Lizard (Super Troopers, Club Dread, etc.).
  9. I need old man Favre to give my fantasy team a boost, so I'm going with Vikings 34-31. Should be a good game.
  10. I'm a pretty big Stephen King fan, and I've kept meaning to reading the Dark Tower Series, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I don't want the experience to be too punctuated, so I might just wait til next summer when I can truly dedicate time to it.
  11. I'm glad you made this exception, because that's a great song. I'm also a sucker for Scenes from an Italian Restaurant. I don't think anybody will ever try to tell you the Pistols were any good...hell, their bassist couldn't play bass and their singer couldn't sing. Mostly, they're given credit for pioneering/popularizing the punk genre.
  12. I'll give him a pass on the height issue (see Brees, Drew).
  13. Wow, that is absolutely pathetic...they're opening their new stadium on a Monday Night and all the fans are convinced they're gonna win the freakin' Superbowl and they can't sell out!
  14. Sorry, just have to disagree. Paul is a good singer, John was a VERY good singer. But compared to the likes of Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, Chris Cornell, Geoff Tate, etc...neither is truly in the pantheon of the greatest vocalists in rock history.
  15. I agree with your general statement about the Beatles, but you absolutely can't say they had 3 of the best singers of all time. It's just not true.
  16. Okay I can usually decipher the typos on this board, but you've got me here. Evesuppn?
  17. Are you dayman, as in the fighter of the nightman, champion of the sun, master of karate and friendship for everyone?
  18. I just don't understand the sentiment behind these ridiculous opinions. Bad QBs, bad tackles, no passing game, not much of a pass rush from the edges, we had ALL THESE SAME PROBLEMS last year and we went 6-10. Why would the team suddenly regress by 6 wins?
  19. Revis is good, but it only takes one slip-up, and Evans could accomplish most of that 100 yards in one down.
