  1. Any Nico Collins types in the draft? What a weapon he would be for us.
  2. All competitors want that but I just think "wasted" is melodramatic as you point out. It's kind of depressing if you think of every NFL career that ends without a SB ring (and in this case, he's got multiple good years left) as wasted, because that would describe a pretty large majority of careers, even amongst the subset of players who were at one point top 5 at their positions.
  3. Yes he was. But his best season in Minnesota was worse than his worst season here. The notion that we’ve wasted his prime is insane.
  4. So not a T. Rapp game, then.
  5. This whole era of the Bills has just racked up wins without very much individual recognition. Must have a really good HC. *ducks*
  6. Every single fan base thinks things are rigged against them.
  7. Still might if they're trailing all game. The line setters always know more than us.
  8. I get a kick out of people with .01% of the football knowledge of an NFL coordinator who try to suggest X and O concepts. As if some intern is going to come across this thread and sprint to McDermott's office to tell him that the Steelers will try to run the ball and, oh, by the way, nobody showed up to Mason Rudolph's birthday party. "So you have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie."
  9. Somehow it must be human nature to take things that are hugely multi-faceted and try boiling them down to one factor. What itch does it scratch to determine which aspect of the Patriots dynasty really mattered? They all mattered. (Including being the luckiest team in the playoffs over and over, but that's neither here nor there...) A couple years ago when we eviscerated the Pats in the playoffs the thing people don't acknowledge is that that was a 3-14 quality roster than went 10-7. Just listen to anyone in the actual football world talk about Belichick. They revere him, including those who have good reasons to hate him.
  10. Counterpoint - if someone has an opinion you disagree with and you think it reflects on all of society, it's more of a reflection on you.
  11. A couple teams are going to find out the grass ain’t always greener.
  12. Good play overall by Josh too. That’s a TD 80% of the time.
  13. Let’s be honest, nobody was thinking about helmet to helmet til the replay. Both players ducked for leverage and the defender won.
  14. I also enjoy that apparently she could have traded Vrabel but chose not to because it would "take too long" and they'd miss out on their first choice for HC. As if any of the best HC candidates are attracted to the Titans' current batch of non-assets.
  15. The weird thing is he played exactly one game, Week 1 vs the Rams last season, as a timing route pocket passer and then it just never happened again.
  16. Honestly if we lose some fluke 10-9 game in a blizzard I'm not overhauling the organization over that. You make changes because you're moving onto something better, not just to appease an appetite for change. But if it's more ideal conditions and we get outplayed by an inferior opponent like things happened a few times this regular season...yeah. It gets harder to have faith heading into next season. But that's an enormous "if" because I just don't see it happening. We're gonna toast em.
  17. I’d say he’s getting prime Beasley looks. Different skill set in that he’s not quite the same magician in finding space in the middle of the field but a better occasional deep threat. Which is all to say it really has no bearing on eating up Gabe’s snaps. He plays a different position and we still need a WR2 but Shakir is capable of 800-900 yards a season.
  18. No he's on the Pats now.
  19. That award is mostly just a Most Improved Team award. But I'm thankful for Beane.
  20. Weather can be an equalizer, yes. But I'd say overall a weather game benefits whichever team has a 6'5 240 lb stampeding antelope at QB, and whichever team has 85,000 fans further disrupting the opposition.
  21. I always have to laugh at this. Like sure, let's pretend the QB who can put the ball in a one foot window from 30 yards away just missed his target by 5 yards laterally rather than that the WR did something wrong.
