  1. Evans and Parrish both jettisoned pretty quickly by their new teams. Josh Reed before them a few years back. It's almost as if we've been using substandard WRs all these years.... Nah.
  2. Who was the dude that guaranteed Young would be starting by week 6?
  3. Well, right before the credits roll he keels over and falls to the dirt.
  4. Thoughts on last night's episode... http://www.entertainment-bureau.com/breaking-bad-review-episode-5-07-say-my-name/2950
  5. I knew it was coming from the point when Kaylee's money was put in the bank. But still...
  6. Nickel is probably an ideal spot for him. McKelvin's coverage skills have always been decent, what kills him is when the ball is in the air. Those ball skills are more crucial to the outside IMO.
  7. Both are important skills to have on a team, but I agree that it puzzles me...there aren't 32 men in this world capable of kicking a football when it's on the ground AND when they drop it onto their foot?
  8. Cam Newton is in the "Chad Pennington Division". That's as much info as I need on this list.
  9. "I ate a Herman Melville novel" is my favorite.
  10. Nobody induces more jealousy from his fellow players than Jeter. He's the golden boy of the league and most non-Yankees (ok, let's be honest, probably plenty of Yankees too) hate him for it. If there was so much as a whiff of PED use, most MLB players would blow him in happily. The fact that we've heard zero rumors is telling.
  11. And let's not forget that the man stopped fighting dogs because he got caught. If nobody ever knew and then 5 years later, he came out and said "Listen, I used to do this horrible thing and it's been weighing on my conscience" he'd have more than a few ounces of my sympathy. As it stands, we can only assume that Vick would have blithely continued fighting dogs until he was an old crippled man.
  12. Yes, accepting money and then getting injured in a combat sport is "stealing".
  13. http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/8294309/derek-jeter-laughs-skip-bayless-ped-use-insinuation Sure, the sports culture's (and my personal) apotheosis of Derek Jeter may be overstatement....but for !@#$ sake, can't we give the most respected athlete of our time the benefit of the doubt? I would personally stop watching baseball if it turned out DJ was using anything worse than a One-a-Day vitamin.
  14. Hey, go out with a sense of accomplishment.
  15. It's interesting to me how these conversations go. People take sides seemingly based on the premise that the story needs a good guy and bad guy.
  16. Every word was, at one point, not a word. Shakespeare himself invented hundreds of them.
  17. I take it as a metaphor. As in, due to this running back's size, speed and tenacity it's as if his momentum is carrying him downhill (ie. harder to stop).
  18. In this particular case, what part of the article indicates PC !@#$s being involved? Now, perhaps the subtext is that the Police Chief acted quickly in order to avoid a firestorm from the aforementioned !@#$s...but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
  19. Gonna take a lot to drag me away from you. There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do. I bless the rains down in Aaaaaaafrica.
