  1. Add McCarron and Lacey to this fan's draft wishlist.
  2. Ok, you don't like the hire, but what's the point in referring derisively to the man himself before next season?
  3. I like the pun, but what exactly is the joke?
  4. A ticky-tacky OPI aside, Anquan Boldin is taking over this game.
  5. Mike Mayock on the Cincy offense: "U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi. It's ugly."
  6. I don't care if it's not deep. If I see Sanborn long snapping us to defeat one more time, I'm gonna snap. Yes, Sanborn records a lot of long snaps. But how many of those are 5-10 yards downfield?
  7. Schaub was throwing into tight coverage a lot and it just bit him. Will be interesting to see how he responds.
  8. Brian Kelly for HC. Chip Kelly for OC. Jim Kelly for QB Coach/Team President/Secret Owner. Heck, my friend Kelly can probably help somehow.
  9. Houston's in pretty good control, but these FGs might haunt them.
  10. Good advice for coaches. Better advice for GMs. Bad advice for Presidents and CEOs.
  11. Good thread. The one caveat is that, from a marketing perspective, the retention of dedicated fans (such as those who would spend free time discussing the team) is a lesser concern over swaying the casual/prospective fan. Which isn't to say it's not a concern at all. If not Brandon himself, somebody who matters probably skims this board.
  12. Can't believe nobody else has brought this up, but that was barely a peck. I've seen men kiss their mother more passionately. Hardly PDA in my opinion.
  13. The movie was scheduled for release in September, but it (and the trailer) included a scene during which somebody shoots up a movie theater through the screen. After the Aurora shooting, theaters dropped the trailer and the cast/crew re-shot that portion of the film, pushing the release date back to January.
  14. Seems like I remember Skelton being healthy and Lindley still getting the nod. Still, the coach gets some of the blame for assembling such an Island of Misfit Toys crew.
  15. Fair enough. In any case, the FO simply can't witness a decade and a half of incompetence at QB and hire the coach who started Ryan Lindley for a handful of games. Hiring Whisenhunt would make me .
  16. Whisenhunt. 2012 saw the Cardinals botching their QB situation worse than any other team. Incessant flip flopping is way worse than stubbornness.
  17. I'd hardly say that schtupping a young girl is the negative analog to donating what will probably be a couple grand. That said, we do tend to acc-ent-u-ate the negative around here.
  18. This is a good point. Southern California couldn't get much different from Buffalo culturally (within the US, that is) and I think there's a "One of us" mentality. We want to imagine a guy with a snow shovel in his hands.
  19. Why the hate for the Seahawks? Seattle might be the one sports city more miserable than Buffalo.
  20. Citizens of TSW - a question. Do you believe that it's useful to assign prototypes to NFL prospects, or are the nuances of each player simply too variable? What prompts this question is Matt Barkley. From the little I've seen, he doesn't light the world on fire in any category and I don't think that I want him as the Bills' next QB. However, the logic around here is that we don't want him because he's a USC QB and the likes of Sanchez and Leinart haven't impressed. Granted, there are going to be similarities to players that were recruited by the same college coach. But other than that, does the argument "USC quarterbacks are disappointments" hold any water? Or is it hokum?
  21. Baltimore. After Lee Evans ruined things for them, I feel as if Bills fans owe them support for some odd reason.
  22. Where do you hear he's too honest?
  23. Lotsa stuff that needed lifting and putting down, eh?
