Almost everyone in the sports media has receipts predicting he would bust and they're determined to retcon that they were right.

Every time there are two people who often get mentioned together someone is there to say that it sounds like a law firm. What's with that?

Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
The team needs to cancel out all this noise about being the team of destiny or righting old wrongs and just execute. There are two more difficult teams to beat after this. -
Josh Allen was in the closet making fake slides and I saw one of the fake slides and the fake slide looked at me.

You’re being dramatic. “The unthinkable”? One of two good teams is going to lose a football game. Neither result is unthinkable. Also, yeah, fans tend to only remember the last thing that happened. That’s why you put more reasonable objective decision makers at the switches.

Watched this episode yesterday. McDaniel handled things all wrong as a leader. Grown men know when they’re being lied to. “The cold is just a mindset and you’ll enjoy being tackled on cement” is just fake rah rah stuff and he doesn’t even sell it well.

Right in your post you acknowledge he just does it for attention and then you give him attention and try to spread the attention. Why?

Bills release Fournette from the Practice Squad

It’s the NFL’s rule. You have an active roster of 53 players who are eligible to play and you dress 48 of them for the game. -
Good for him. What an incredible career.

This is definitely reading in too much, but there's no denying he's a poor tackler with a bad feel for zone concepts. A terrible first round pick but Beane balanced it by finding an absolute steal in Benford. But all of that is kind of irrelevant now. What we need from Elam is to be a good backup and make a play or two and he accomplished that yesterday.

My Picks for AFC Divisional Round

I like the way it is. The best case scenario is the Bills playing with the knowledge that they'll have another home game next week if they win. -

Three QBs from the 2018 draft will be starting in the divisional round while Darnold also backs up Purdy. Anyone heard from "Right" Josh Rosen recently? -

The three biggest fraud teams (Dallas, Miami, Philly) are getting knocked around and barely putting up a fight. -
Shout out another “elite” HC like Mike Tomlin

For a team that carries a reputation for being about toughness and discipline they've had a weird number of examples of players lollygagging this season, most recently Minkah on Josh's long rushing TD today. -
No more Snowplow please

I've been waiting for this too, borderline expecting it. -
This comes after just watching the Eagles fail on one, too. Defenses may be slow to adjust sometimes in this league but they do adjust. Everyone knows Josh is going left and without a great second effort push from Gilliam we would have been shut down twice in a row, committing a turnover on downs. The big problem with the play is that, compared to a handoff or a normal QB sneak, there's very little improvising that can happen if the play starts to fail. I'd rather Josh have the freedom to shut things down and try to dive for a different hole, or even find the edge as we've seen him do a couple times in the past, if a defender manages to shoot through.

Injuries vs Steelers - Update from McDermott
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a perfectly awful matchup coming up to have a thin LB room. We'll be counting on Hyde and Poyer to carry weight. -
Fake Slide should be 15 yard penalty

Show us on the doll where Josh fake slid. -
17 points allowed against an offense that had recently found its groove, with more or less a preseason lineup in the second half. McD gets it.

It's been obvious for a while that there's a lack of trust.

The meta-game of the draft is weird and controlled by groupthink. GMs all seem to worry that they'll be perceived as over-drafting someone when relatively meaningless things like the combine or Senior Bowl results get publicized. If GMs were anonymous figures who all got to do what was truly best for their team with impunity, draft results would be vastly different.
