  1. I’d be into this if it involves Beane later tricking the Steelers’ GM into giving all the first round picks back.
  2. If Murray had field vision he’d be a very dangerous player but it’s probably his weakest point.
  3. Is Deshaun Watson the most hated player in the NFL? This is the only context I’m happy to see the Cowboys dominate. This is FUN.
  4. Early in the game he chased Murray out of bounds for a loss of like 3 inches.
  5. I think there’s a chance we’ll win and a chance we’ll lose. It’s likely we won’t know the result of the game til quite late on Thursday night. Now to Jim with the weather.
  6. My key takeaway from this game is that we’ll stand a chance when the pass rush gets home. It’s not just a bonus like in prior years. Diggs used to be the second most important player on the team and now it may be Rousseau.
  7. That high point throw to the boundary is a tool that Josh hasn’t been able to use his entire career. Gabe had toe-drag abilities but not that 50/50 ball skill. I’m excited about Coleman.
  8. NFL teams get more or less trapped by the fact that only a certain finite number of quarterbacks in the league can lead a team to the playoffs, and end up hitching their whole franchise to fool's gold. I'm guessing the correct (ie. game theory optimized) GM strategy is to continue seeking elite QBs until you find one, but due to impatient ownership and fans the front offices are incentivized to keep trying to hit 10 wins each season and preserve their jobs. And so you end up in cap hell with a QB who's kinda vaguely top 10 or top 12 and won't get you over the hump.
  9. Violent crime is down a ton within the last couple generations. Here's one source but you can find others... https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/04/24/what-the-data-says-about-crime-in-the-us/ In my opinion the big negative difference in our society is the frequency at which we're taught to fear one another.
  10. This is bonkers logic. So in theory whoever the best team in the league is can’t possibly improve by signing releases players.
  11. Well I was really hoping to start the goofy tall white Bobcats thread actually so I’m going with Byron Mullens.
  12. Same boat, became a fan during the drought years. I don't think I'll ever lose the sense of surprise when they win a game. The good part of that is that I feel genuine joy when we do something like when a regular season game against the Jets.
  13. Thank you for asking. No.
  14. They’ll definitely be open the whole game. It’s a couple miles away from Ithaca in Lansing. If you’d rather be downtown there’s also Uncle Joe’s which is technically a Packers bar but you’ll obviously find no shortage of Bills fans.
  15. I live in Ithaca. Longshots is the bar you want.
  16. I mostly don’t post but I will snipe at people clearly having an emotional response and demand that they be perfectly logical instead. It’s very important to me that I feel smarter than internet strangers. I am wrong and bad.
  17. A single game just can't be a final referendum. It's a single elimination tournament with a bouncy egg ball. It's imperative that decision makers do things based on bodies of work.
  18. Shouldn’t have eaten all that expired ham! Just go to the store and get new ham next time.
  19. Almost everyone in the sports media has receipts predicting he would bust and they're determined to retcon that they were right.
  20. Every time there are two people who often get mentioned together someone is there to say that it sounds like a law firm. What's with that?
  21. The team needs to cancel out all this noise about being the team of destiny or righting old wrongs and just execute. There are two more difficult teams to beat after this.
  22. Josh Allen was in the closet making fake slides and I saw one of the fake slides and the fake slide looked at me.
