  1. I don't think this is necessarily a good thing, but remember that Jauron and Gailey were players' coaches held in very high esteem. Look at where that got us. It doesn't really bother me to see tempers flaring, and it sounds as though Marrone reacted appropriately.
  2. Not as big of a sleeper as Tuel, though. If you draft Tuel first overall and he dominates, think of how smart all your friends will think you are!
  3. Yes. If a top-3 all time quarterback were our quarterback then we'd be really good and our offensive skill players would realize the height of their potential. Thing is, nobody who's better than Manuel (who is...what? A top-621 all time quarterback?) is going to play QB for the Bills this year, so we better hope he has some upside.
  4. A game changing player is worth two 1st round picks, and Watkins has the ability to be a game changer. But if he's a contributor and nothing more, then the trade will stink to high heaven.
  5. The DB's and DL look to be first class units. Sad that Alonso's out, because that pushes our LB into subpar territory.
  6. I too have been impressed by Brandon since RW's death. That said, he's still a gigantic part of the culture that's fielded a sub .400 team and zero playoff appearances. I'd be upset if Whaley doesn't get a fair shake with the new ownership, but would completely understand if Brandon's fazed out.
  7. Sad that this thread has devolved into another discussion about taking offense, when it was supposed to be about the Coen brothers. To get back on track, I really think Barton Fink was their greatest accomplishment, though I imagine most people prefer Fargo. The wife and I watched A Serious Man a couple weeks ago and we thought that was really great too.
  8. Wow, that makes me mad. I'm glad I didn't see it around the time of Wilson's death.
  9. Could be the greatest Jewish player in Bills history.
  10. Very sad, but at the same time worthy of a Darwin Award.
  11. I'm going to think up a couple really good retorts for when I get my allotted internet time tomorrow.
  12. I actually think Tuel will turn into a serviceable backup. He also single handedly torpedoed what was one of the best team efforts last season, so there's that.
  13. Good to be back. I was busy getting married in the off season.
  14. Mario and Kyle complement each other so well, and I think Jerry Hughes will rack up double digit sacks again. However, I have to say that it was disheartening last year to watch an elite pass rush that barely made a dent in the team's overall record.
  15. I'd advise against posting speculative articles and using a title that suggests it's already happened.
  16. I was hoping we'd see him pretty often on ESPN, but I guess HGTV is a start.
  17. How the hell do you know?
  18. It sounds like you really know how to disappoint a woman!
  19. I'm on the same page. When we make the implication that homosexuality is alright, but only if the person had no choice, then we continue to demean the person and their actions. My personal feeling is that the vast majority of homosexual people never make a choice. Some combination of pre-natal environment, post-natal environment and genetics are at play.
  20. Most of these people don't think sexuality is a choice. They think homosexualiy is a choice (ie. straight is the default, but some people choose gay). Logical as it is, the "when did you choose hetero?" argument doesn't change many minds.
  21. I think it's logical that it was on your mind. The reason that most facilities offer separate bathrooms for men and women is to create a zone of privacy from sexual attention, so the presence of a gay person blurs that line. That said, imagine if you had to use a women's locker room because the men's was out of order or something. Would you act like a creep and stare at the women? Come onto them? No, I imagine you'd respect the vulnerable situation like other decent people.
  22. The key difference, of course, is that there are most likely dozens of gay NFL players who simply choose not to disclose that information. I respect Michael Sam chiefly because he could have chosen anonymity over the circus that's coming his way.
  23. Shouldn't matter. Still does. Shouldn't have mattered that Jackie Robinson was black.
  24. I see this a lot. Do you not care or do you not approve? It can't be both. Not caring is, by definition, an absence of opinion. It's also worth noting, I think, that not every gay man leads a gay "lifestyle". Just as you probably wouldn't primarily describe your lifestyle as a straight lifestyle.
