  1. In a rational world, that wouldn't provide any more fodder for Hughes' agent. Since we live in an irrational world, it does.
  2. If I've learned one thing about the off season, it's that you can't look at next year's schedule and count wins.
  3. Good question. Dareus is the highest priority as the anchor of our defense. As much as I like Hughes, a downgrade in edge rushing would be worth a significant boost in the interior OL play.
  4. Totally. These commitment-lacking guys really need to answer the petulant whining of an anonymous fan on a message board they've never read. Time to "man up"!
  5. Spiller has 159 YAC and 123 receiving yards. A lot of catches behind the LOS for both of them.
  6. I mean, if you really think about it, had the universe never been brought into existence the Bills would have had zero wins this year.
  7. A negligent rhyme, a touch of bad verse to point out the fact that the offense is cursed?
  8. So, if we ignore Baltimore's chances of losing 2 in a row, we're basically looking at a 6-game parlay... Pitt beats KC Bills beat Oakland Denver beats Cincy Bills beat Pats Pitt beats Cincy KC beats SD It's highly unlikely, but not preposterous.
  9. We still have a chance if KC beats Pittsburgh, though it's unlikely. If the NFC North completely tanks (Cincy loses to Denver, and Baltimore loses their last two) then we're in. At this point, it actually behooves us that Pittsburgh/Cincy and KC/SD play each other in week 17. The problem is that Baltimore would have to lose to Case Keenum and Johnny Manziel. I wouldn't be surprised if things are over by the time we kickoff at 4:25 today.
  10. There ya go, Philip.
  11. If it falls out this way... San Fran beats SD Buffalo beats Oakland Pittsburgh beats KC Denver beats Cincy ...then things become VERY interesting. I'd also include Houston beating Baltimore, but...Case Keenum.
  12. I disagree. This renders the Steelers-Chiefs game at 1 pm tomorrow much less important (thought it's still better if the Steelers win).
  13. Needs to be our #2 priority after QB. Dude is a load and (much as I dislike Harbaugh) comes from a culture of success.
  14. Did he not just commit 2 awful turnovers en route to losing to one of the NFL's worst teams? And in a playoff elimination situation? By the way, this is the same Mark Sanchez that some pretty awful Bills' defenses picked off a bazillion times.
  15. From my perspective as a fan, I'm playing with house money. The Bills will be in Buffalo for the foreseeable future and the franchise is no longer the laughing stock of the NFL. So they aren't setting the world on fire yet. Playing relevant football in late December is a good friggin' start.
  16. With running backs, I think it's safest to assume that any degradation in ability is the new normal. Players at that position tend to fall off cliffs.
  17. He can make all the throws! (You know, in a vacuum, with no pressure, expectations, stress, teammates....)
  18. I voted neither. Ray Rice averaged 3.1 yards per carry in 2013. You can get that production from a minimum-salary player, and without the media circus. As for Spiller, he has proven to me that he doesn't possess the vision to be a regular contributor. He's best off getting 8-10 touches per game and it's foolish to pay $4 million for that.
  19. Definitely Eli, though I don't think either one is what this franchise needs right now. They are both incredibly turnover-prone, which I think would net us the same results as Orton's general mediocrity. Who we really needed was Alex Smith. As for Cutler, he is poison.
  20. Elimination games are never trap games for teams with even a modicum of discipline.
  21. Honestly, if the Bills get to 10-6 with their remaining schedule and make the playoffs, they will have proven themselves SB contenders. GB, NE and Denver are the top 3 teams in the league, in some order.
  22. Ha. If you say so. The Jets are a !@#$ing tire fire.
