  1. Quite honestly there's not much he can do within the next 8 games to make me actually feel comfortable when he's lining one up during the playoffs. Because if it's a mental issue those can go away and then crop back up again in the crucible of pressure. But at the same time there's nobody else on the street we can trust either. Adam Vinatieri ain't walking through that door. And having a guy who we now know can theoretically drill one from like...66(?) tops is a weapon.
  2. I'm a poker player as well and often think in terms of results-oriented (bad) vs process-oriented (good) thinking. This one was honestly pretty close. You're basically denying your opponent the roughly 50% of overtime win equity they have if you punt the ball, but introducing a medium-level risk of ruin in the sense that Sanders, a more accurate long kicker, can get one back at you and you lose in regulation which is a disaster. So it all comes down to exactly how often Bass makes that kick. I think you go for the kick if you think he's good 40% of the time.
  3. Just a dumb conversation to be having. We can still get the 1 seed.
  4. I don't understand the meaning of something that is both automatic and able to be revoked. Game ball to Bass. The one guy that almost every fan wanted off the team and then he does the unbelievable.
  5. I gotta say, I respect a professional athlete who will voluntarily show themselves looking physically awkward.
  6. Certain guys, it just hurts more to know that the Bills never won it all during their natural life. RIP John, and may you be watching from above when they do.
  7. This obviously is a good thing for us but all the same I kinda saw Christian Benford frustrating Metcalf all day.
  8. In my opinion the Jets are the soft part of other teams' schedules. I also think it's hilarious that they made a "win now" move at 2-4 and gave up draft capital that they'll badly need for the rebuild that starts immediately when Rodgers retires, only to lose by 22 points to the Steelers and move to 2-5.
  9. I think part of it is, the league is so hungry for great QB play that the announcers exaggerate decent or even below average plays.
  10. Jets are at 2-2 and have the Vikings next week before facing us. You could alternately say that it's nice to have a small cushion of a game in the division even if we lose tonight or in Houston, or the way I prefer to see it which is that we could all but lock it down by week 6.
  11. This has the makings of an awesome game. The defense has been valiant in keeping it together so far but it's a pretty bad situation to be facing Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry without Milano, Bernard and Taron. I wonder if we'll see more Cole Bishop to increase the athleticism in that part of the field.
  12. Bills 28 Ravens 27 In a comeback win
  13. Just for old time’s sake… championship
  14. I think a predictive model that means anything needs more than 3 games of data.
  15. James Hardy, RIP Syracuse
  16. What a huge boost to our SB chances it would be if a Justin Fields-led Steelers team is our opponent in a home playoff game.
  17. This team is too good to be happy with any 1-2 stretch. I’m already thinking first round bye.
  18. He just drives very very slow.
  19. I think they’re probably the offense best equipped to exploit the starters we’re missing on D. Hopefully Taron is back.
  20. Josh has an OC who knows how to scheme free yardage for him, and now has the right amount of wisdom to take it. Combine that with the splash play ability that’s always existed and you’re essentially watching a robot built to score TDs.
  21. I’ve never really bought into this. Losing doesn’t help with team energy and cohesion. Losing begets more losing.
  22. Why make all of these guys Day 1 starters? Caleb Williams, Bo Nix, Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young…it just feels like they’re all in the process of getting ruined.
  23. This is so bad it's actually stressing me out. Respect to Caleb Williams that he's standing up right now.
