Its not that unusual for Anthony Richardson though

You being mentioned was not because I called you out or said anything disparaging about you. I just mentioned what our conversation was specifically about and what my comments specifically were on Hollins as the previous poster had a grave misunderstanding of what he thought I said about Hollins. So I am not going to get into this reply with you as I think you have a misunderstanding as to why you were cited.

Lol...let me clarify my comment first: It wasn't a serious comment, it was a tongue and cheek joke referring to the "everyone owes Badol an apology thread" that was embarrassingly on this board last week before it was deleted. Back up though on the rest...don't get my offseason comments twisted. I never proclaimed anything about our WR group. This happens all the time...people confuse activity in a thread with substance and you could not be more wrong about what I personally actually said. Samuel - I never pushed Samuel, in fact, I pushed back against the people like Badol who kept saying Samuel was our WR1 and literally said no it is Keon Coleman and that our top 3 targets will be Keon, Shakir, and Kincaid in no particular order. And that has been spot on. Hollins - The Hollins comments were SPECIFICALLY about @Kirby Jackson worrying that Keon Coleman was "behind" Mack Hollins because of some comments he read or heard during preseason from some Bills talk commentators. What I actually stated (and has been 100% spot on) was that Keon is absolutely NOT behind Mack Hollins as Keon had taken 100% of his snaps in camp and preseason with the 1's and never a single snap with the 2's. Hollins had been splitting between the 1's and 2's and that Mack Hollins was getting reps in preseason and practice with the ones because they absolutely had a role for him and that role was NOT at the expense of Coleman's role. And week 1, neither Hollins or Coleman were on the field for the first play of the game (a run) and the 2nd play of the game (a pass) it was Coleman on the field, not Mack and Coleman led the team in snaps and receiving week 1 and been ahead of Hollins like I said since day 1. I constantly stated Mack Hollins was a 5th or 6th target/receiver on this team. Literally that was the biggest gap in my convesation with @Kirby Jacksonwhere I kept saying he was too worked up about a guy who will finish the season no better than the 5th or 6th target on this team. Kirby and I were not even that divided per se on the overall subject of the WR room, it was just this one thing where he was worked up thinking Keon was falling behind because he misunderstood Hollins involvement to be a ding on Keon when it was Samuel who Hollins was taking snaps from opposite Keon. So respectfuly, please don't try and twist my words as if I was on here propping up Mack Hollins this offseason as a "starting WR" here or that Samuel was going to be our savior. I never said any of those things. Furthermore, I never declared our WR room was anything...there is a BIG difference in not being willing to CONDEMN the WR room before the season begins and having optimism and wanting to see them on the field first. I also literally said many times Beane was not done with the WR room, but that $31M dead money in the WR room meant it was more likely going to come next year via trade, FA or draft (or some combo). However, Beane wizard his way into getting help this year cheap with Amari, which was awesome and something I was all for in my posts. Was I optimistic about guys like Shakir, Kincaid, and of course Keon...absolutely. Was I all doom and gloom about the WR room...nope. I was optimistic that Diggs and Davis being gone were addition by subtraction (which it was, Josh has 1 INT) and that our top 3 guys were a great young core (which they are). And when the offense struggled weeks 4 and 5 I was on here with others encouraging Beane to make a move. Cheers, GO BILLS!

I know bud, I was just making a general comment, not refuting anything you said, more just follow on to what you said. Wasn't referring to you as if you were going to over exaggerate the Cooper addition in terms of what Coleman did the past 2 weeks.
-
All of Colemans production last week came when Cooper was not on the field. People are going to over exaggerate the last 2 week breakout of Coleman as if it was because of Cooper, but it really wasn't. It is more they are moving Coleman around more and also just giving him more targets.

I am just waiting for the apology thread for all the Keon doubters and haters to apologize to the rest of us 😂

Hahaha…To be honest I don’t remember if I started his own thread his rookie year, but I was all over the board pounding the drum for him to play over McKenzie going back to preseason his rookie year as I knew McKenzie was gonna suck as he always did -

What’s the record for OL penalties on a single drive? We gotta be approaching it lol -
Are there any actual links between Bills interest and any specific players right now? I am still hoping for Budda Baker personally, but a LB would make sense also given neither Bernard nor Milano can stay on the field. I am not so much worried about DT unless we were able to make a move for a significant DT like Simmons who I was banging the drum for during the draft in the first place.

Wishing Carter a speedy recovery and hopefully he can get back soon enough and keep developing more ahead of the playoffs. I have really liked what he has been giving us and hopefully its only a few weeks to get more time to get ready ahead of the playoffs.

Sfefanski handing over play calling duites to Dorsey this week
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didnt he win COY like 2 times in the last 4 seasons? I know he definitely won it once where McD got hosed and should have won it that year, but I think he actually won it twice. -
Agree, that is why I think he is a great fit too

Odd timing...but he is having Ken call the plays starting this week and that is the plan moving forward. Wonder if it was Stefanski's decision or if it came down from above. I mean just not having the atrocious Watson behind center will make the offense better as that has pretty much happened every time Watson was out really. So with no Watson, the offense could see a boost just on that alone, which when it does its going to make Stefanski look worse as if he was the issue or at least part of the issue. So interesting timing...

Cooper couldn't hold Hopkins jock when Hopkins was in his prime when he was a top 2 WR. But...Hopkins is not in his prime now and is slower than Keon at this point. Hopkins has significantly better hands than Cooper, always has. But we have plenty of guys with great hands on this team, we need someone who can be a threat outside and down the field to compliment this group and that is what Cooper is more than Hopkins today. I hate that Hopkins went to KC though as he fits perfectly there and they got him cheap. But if I had my choice of the 3 here it would still be Cooper. But make not mistake about it...all Coopers career he has been a boom or bust WR on a week to week basis. Of the higher tier WR1's of his era, he may be the most inconsistent of his era on a week to week stand point, and he drops more balls than he should too. So I wouldn't expect Cooper to be some weekly high volume target guy like Diggs was, nor does he need to be. That is the best part about his addition, we just needed more diversity more than we needed a feed this one guy type player. And Cooper is and always has been comfortable in that role as well. Of the 3 that have been traded (Adams, Cooper, Hopkins) - Adams today is still the best WR of the 3, but his alpha mentality where he needs and expects a lot of targets wasn't the best fit, nor was his contract. Cooper is better than what Hopkins is right now, the best fit personnel wise for this roster, and the best price. Hopkins is fine, will be a good add for KC, but he wouldn't have moved the needle as much here as we would still not be a big threat down field give the player he is today. Bills and Beane did very good here and made the right choice IMHO for who was the best fit for this team both as a player and in cost.

So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
Alphadawg7 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let me preface this first with I was all for trading for him, he’s a good addition to the team in terms of what we need out of him. But here is my honest opinion as to why and I have consistently said this about him for years. Cooper is kind of a more talented Gabe Davis in a lot of ways. He has a few big games a season to make his season totals look good but his other weeks he is meh to MIA. He’s wildly inconsistent on a week to week basis, and he drops a lot more balls than people think. It’s been that way his whole career. Go look at each seasons game logs for his stats each week. You will find majority of his games are not that impressive for a guy who made as much as he did. But he will have 2-3 real big games that total like 30%+ of his season totals and make his season look good when it’s over. The good thing about his stop here is that we don’t need him to have a big game every week the way we can spread the ball around. His presence will help open up more what they can do in other areas of the field. -
Yeah I agree it may be too rich for Beane, but I would hope he would at least check in on Myles and see what’s what at least. Landing Myles or Maxx would put us in the drivers seat for the SB out of the AFC IMHO. But I know it’s a long shot And I think you’re right about Bears and Lions being legit spots for either.

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Alphadawg7 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gibbs is maybe the most underrated HC in terms of the all time greats. You always hear about Landry, Lombardi, Walsh, Belichick, Parcells, etc. But Gibbs doesn’t get enough respect in terms of his place in the all time great conversation often enough. IMHO he has a strong case for top 5 HC all time. -
The conversation wasn’t 2 firsts. It was 2 firsts, a 2nd, and 4th and a 6th. And then you said it may be more than that. I never said he wouldn’t get 2 firsts. I said he wouldn’t get all of that, especially for a guy who needs surgery. And everyone scoffed at what the Bears gave up for the Mack trade.

Sorry, I meant rating not QBR. I had not checked QBR. Lamar has a 118 QB Rating right now. I just fixed it
