  1. Good recap, and I pretty much agree with most of this. Couple minor notes: I never liked the MVS signing and was praying someone would bump him off the roster. So I don’t disagree he’s not bringing a lot to the table other than running fast in a straight line. To his credit, Allen has missed him on 2 deep shots he was open earlier this season, but honestly I trust him to make the catch about as much as I trust Bass to make 50 yard FG. But Hollins has value to this team still. He’s supposed to be our 6th target, so he was never meant to be a high target volume guy. Where I think the problem is really with Samuel being a non factor. When we need to press the ball downfield it shouldn’t be Hollins we need to depend on. It should be Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid and Samuel along with our backs that we look to in those moments. But like you said, for what ever reason Samuel has been a ghost and it feels more like they don’t know what to do with him. Whatever they are doing isn’t working, and they need to get him going and get Mack off the field in those more pass heavy moments. Or of if they can’t, then they need to get Knox more involved as a pass catcher run more 12 personnel. The only area I disagree with is Shakir. Teams are not going to be able to cheat their CB1 short on Shakir if Coleman keeps building on this game, and I think he will. Coleman was close to a massive night tonight. When Allen got sacked because O’Cyrus got torched, Coleman toasted his one on one on the outside and was wide open deep for a TD with an accurate pass from Allen had he not had the Ravens DL in his face of the snap. Then of course the next drive was the one he dropped which would have been another big play. Seeing Josh and Brady come back to him and trust him to make those great plays down field after was awesome. And I really think that this may have been a mini coming out party for him in terms of his involvement moving forward.
  2. I’ve watched it on every game so far and will again this time.
  3. I agree with you about the OL. With the receivers, it’s hard to gauge them this game with the OL playing so bad and no run game support. But, I was encouraged by Coleman tonight and I’m hoping tonight’s silver lining is that he starts being more involved moving forward. He got open deep multiple times plus he had those great back shoulder plays. I have a feeling we will see his targets grow from this point on personally.
  4. What I don’t understand is what happened to all the plans they had for Samuel. They use him like they don’t know what to do with him.
  5. I think the OL had a lot more to do with the issues tonight than anything. They couldn’t get Cook going, they couldn’t pass protect, and they got to Josh with ease on 3rd downs. I wouldn’t say no to Hopkins, but I also didn’t leave that game feeling that the WR group was why we lost.
  6. Brady has been excellent this year coming into tonight. Im not going to condemn him after one game where we were dominated in all areas of the game on both sides of the ball. But…that was a learning moment. It was incredibly stupid play call. Down 2 scores on the road while you have momentum you stay calm and keep playing your game and do what is working. You don’t run a risky play there that quite frankly was just a bad play design from the get go. It really hurt the team and a case can be made it cost us any chance of getting back into this game. But let’s see how he and the offense responds next week.
  7. Yeah and Im less worried about the offense, we more beat ourselves there. And def good to see them go back to Coleman and get the kids confidence up after that drop. Coleman was 2 plays away from a monster game. On the Allen sack, Coleman torched his guy on the outside and was open deep for a TD if Allen doesn’t get sacked. And then of course the drop. If we can just not beat ourselves on offense we will bounce back. The D concerns me more as they couldn’t tackle, cover, or stop the run tonight. I think we finally felt the weight of losing Milano, Bernard, and Taron tonight. Good news we should get Taron back maybe this week and Bernard either this week or next week.
  8. Agree and that starts with the Coaches. This is where they need to show they can learn and adjust after being taken to the wood shed.
  9. It’s one game on a short week, against a good team, on the road, down key players. I’m not going to panic, we were never going undefeated. However, this is where Babich and Brady need to show they can learn and make the adjustments. Tonight is what it is…now it’s about how they respond to adversity. We got smashed in the trenches and that can’t happen. And one thing I hope Brady learned tonight is you don’t try some gimmicky high risk play when trailing on the road while you have momentum. You play your game and keep calm and take what the D is giving you as you are again driving. Game ended on that dumb play, we never recovered.
  10. This was a dumpster fire across the board. We got punched in the mouth tonight. Now it’s about how they respond. Can Babich and Brady make adjustments and be better prepared next week. Really hoping we at least get Taron back this week, even better if we bet Bernard too.
  11. This, but we also don’t get that big Shakir play earlier if he did it then. It’s part of the give and take with Allen. Sometimes he doesn’t get away, more often than not he does though
  12. I’m still not over that play call. I’m all for trick plays, but when we are moving the ball with momentum just do what you do best if it’s working
  13. Now go get another stop.
  14. Everyone is wide open. What is Babich doing
  15. Coleman torched his defender deep and was wide open deep on the sack. The issue is the OL getting punched in the mouth every play
  16. So frustrating, Coleman torched his defender on the outside and was a sure TD if Allen hits him on that last play. But OL gets blown up
  17. Spot on. Total domination in the trenches
  18. Coleman was wide open deep for a TD on that sack
  19. At least we get the ball first in the 2nd half…oh wait…
  20. You gotta be kidding me. How is every Raven just wide open everywhere
