My opinion is that Crabtree is unbelievably STUPID. He will NEVER make up for that missed year.
Yup...he isnt going to make up this lost year...more imortantly he just severly hurt his chances of getting 3 big contracts in his career like Fitzgerald has set himself up for...
What a tool...I hope we dont draft him.
-
Johnson, Florence, Lankster, Palmer, Chambers, Fine, Ellis.
After the preseason Lankster had I am suprised he is inactive...Johnson and Ellis are a little bit of a surprise too
-
Is that because he now has a solid DT in Haynesworth in front of him to let him make a play on the ball carrier. His game dwindled when Pat Williams was let go...
What? He has been the heart and sould of the Skins D since he got there and led them in tackles every year in Was, not to mention has bene amongst league leaders in Tackles...in fact, he has done this his entire career despite mostly not playing with great DT's a lot of his career...
This makes no sense to say it was because of Haynesworth who didnt play like a $100 million player today...
-
You think the Bears will make the playoffs? The Vikes will run away with the division, so that means wildcard. Do you see them beating-out the losers of the NFC East or South?
Well you dont have to win the division to make the playoffs, but I also dont think the Vikes are a lock to win the division in the first place...
-
Did Chi just fake punt on their own 30 on 4th and 11 or am I just that drunk? WTF?
-
Agreed. This was a pretty nice thread when it was about football.
That said, the Bears-Packers game is good through three quarters. Beats the hell out of anything the NFL permitted me to see during the day, with the possible exception of forty-five seconds of the Washington-JerseyG game.
lol...someone call the Whaaaa-Bulance...
-
Hey, where's the HOFamer to be Raji tonight? He and Orakpo had their tickets to Canton punched in the preseason. I haven't seen/heard much of him tonight. Have I missed something?
GO BILLS!!!
lmao...their tickets were punched cuz we didnt draft them according to some posters...

Just a thought, maybe it's not a great idea to make an assessment of a player based on the first half of his first regular season game with a new team.
Whoa, thats too much logic for Magox, he just wants Cutler to look as bad as possible so he can say Trent is better than him...however, at the end of the year, the Bears will be in the playoffs, Cutler will have thrown for more than a 1000 yards more than Trent and will have at least 10 more TD's and a higher passer rating depsite having way less weapons to work with...
-
I have to say Fletcher was all over the field against the Giants. WHy so many on this board hated him mind boggles me. It seems as if on;y Lawrence Taylor and Bruce Smith would suffice for some. As for Orakpo, he was non existant
He has only led the Skins in tackles both years there...I will never get why we let him go...
-
F$#K you
is that better Alphaprick
I've got a great idea, why don't your punk arss put me on ignore because personall attacks when I'm trying to enjoy a football game and my favorite sports forum gets old so why don't you take your sorry arss on down the road because posts like that are uncalled for here.
lmao...I aint the only one who thinks your avatar looks like a pedifile personal ad...so F Bomb me all you want, but your avatar looks like it belongs on a pedifile wanted poster and the nude male back pic on your profile is even weirder...

we have not played a down in the regular season and the way people talk in the media we are getting the top pick next year.....just read the latest article on the front page and that azzclown from Providence thinks we are worse than the 0-16 Lions last year?...a big FU...
The starting O in pre-season struggled, very true, but what did they play, about a game and a half total? ...not enough to judge an entire season...A 7-9 "up and coming" team in many eyes adds a top 5 receiver, but because the line, a weakspot last year, has been revamped and we fired our OC (AVP has the same playbook, terminology, etc. just a new and hopefully improved playcaller) we suck before the first snap?
We can go on all night:
Bills: please represent well tomorrow
Media: FU
"Fans" who are already giving up: see above
Finally....how hot was Faith Hill on Sunday Night Football opener?
We are probably going to get owned big time on Monday night football in the national spotlight...but, as bad as I expect to look Monday, I think we will get better as the year goes on. Going to take time to adjust to the new OC and for the O Line to gel...
-
I would say Barber, the guy blocking Ogunleye...he is getting owned
-
Oh he's on that list alright. These are some BAD throws.
Looks like on some on those INTS and bad throws as if Cutler and his WR's are not on the same page. On one of his picks his WR went out and he threw in...
They better get on the same page asap or the bears are toast
-
Hey, he's trying to score(for the packers)
And you dont have to keep using that avatar either...you look like a pedifile who just posted a personal ad on nambla.org...and that pic of some mans naked back is pretty creepy too thats on your profile when you click on your name...
I mean its already hard enough to take most of your posts seriously as it is...

This is what is most disturbing to me...............
The following coaches are now out of the NFL: Tony Dungy, Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren and Marty Schottenheimer. Combined record: 4,512-175 (approximate). Meanwhile, the following coaches are still in the NFL: Dick Jauron, Brad Childress, Tom Cable, Wade Phillips. Combined record: 109-978 (approximate).
Dungy, Cowher, Holmgren, Marty all CHOOSE to be out of the NFL...none of them wanted to coach this year despite having plenty of teams interested in them...they will all be in next year and many of the other guys you mentioned as "still" in the NFL will most likely all be fired by next year.

Didn't see this posted anywhere...how do we feel about it?
I love it...not saying he is the O Line savior, but he is a veteran guy who knows how to play in this league at a high level...having someone like that in our locker room for an O Line made up of so many young guys learning the game would be worth it alone.
I dont even care if he starts or is on the bench, just having him around our rookies and Bell will be a big positive...
-
I am shocked this thread is still going...I mean this is one of the most rediculous conspiracies I have seen on here...how can anyone even take it seriously?
Bill video tapes a few things he is not supposed to (as have other teams) and you make him out like he is the greatest mastermind to ever walk the earth...
Come back to reality, the weather is nice down here...

Here are the topics and my predictions for them:
MVP: Drew Brees
Defensive Player of the Year: Patrick Willis
Offensive Player of the Year: Tom Brady
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Chris Wells
Defensive Rookie of the Year: BJ Raji
Comeback Player of the Year: Brady
NFL Leaders in:
QB Rating: P. Manning
Passing Yards: Brees
Rushing: Adrian Peterson
Recieving Yards: Roddy White
Receptions: Andre Johnson
TD's: Michael Turner
Sacks: Osi Umenyora
AFC Champs: New England
NFC Champs: New Orleans
Willis was one of 5 people I was debating on for DPOY...DROY is going to be interesting too as I think Curry, Mauluaga, Raji and Maybin (if he can get enough PT) could all be in the running...all look good so far. I dont think White will lead league in recieving yards though because its a run oriented team and they have Tony G to take touches away too...

WTF... This team is getting zero respect. Maybe they should just not even show up on MNF. All the experts are saying 'Last place, no chance, crazy leadership'
They are NOT that bad of team and always play competitive. Now add TO and a little more emotion this year and let's see what happens.
They all have heard more than enough to get motivated.
What respect do we deserve? Look at last year, what did we do? We got off to a 6-2 start, but we were not impressive in most of those wins against the bottom feeding teams in the NFL. Then as our schedule got relevant we finished 1-7 only beating the Broncos who's defense couldnt stop a high school last year.
How do we follow that up? Keep the same regime and jettison our two starting tackles...Now I am glad both tackles are gone, but to the outside world they see a two time pro bowler being replaced by a guy who has yet to play a game in the NFL...
Then what do we show on the field in preseason? A Defense with some potential to be good, but gets stuck on the field way too long because of the worst offense in football during preseason and the lowest rated starting QB in football in preseason...all of which manages to score 2 lousy FG's in 5 games combined...
Add into that, we fire our OC just before the first game of the season (which I support, but that doesnt mean it will be a quick or easy for AVP to make an immediate impact and turn this O around so close to the season).
Add into that a young QB who NEEDS a lot of time throw being protected by the youngest and least experieinced O Line in football (although I think this unit can become really good eventually)...
So, again, where are we supposed to be getting some respect in a division that is fully expected to be run away with by NE with no other team even being relevant in the division to make the playoffs?
-
Well if you watched Trent play in preseason and most of last year, its not hard to imagine someone predicting a 2 win season based on us having the 6th hardest schedule based on Strenght of Schedule in the entire NFL...
I dont think we will be that bad, but I can see how someone else would based on how we seem to be offensively challenged in our preseason games and our 1-7 finish last year (against a much weaker schedule)

I don't know if this idea has been kicked around or not but I think it is very plausible.
Is it possible that New England and Belicheat have had this plan all along? Did they plan on trying to steal a pick from the Raiders and get Seymore back?
I think the plan was to make sure the Bills didn't game plan for him throwing a wrench into things for them on MNF. They are hoping because the paper work was filed by the Raiders before the physical ever happened that the trade is a done deal and somehow they steal a pick from the Raiders. (I know it's not legal and the Raiders would then own his rights but you now how the Pats* get away with stuff and the NFL may rule in their favor in some ridiculous way)
Is this jackass just at it again trying to screw the system and make sure the Bills are ill prepared Monday night with their rookie O-line and Bell at LT?
What is everyone elses thought because I feel like they are up to something and they knew Seyemore to the Raiders was never really going to happen.
"Mr. cmjoyce113, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

OOOO...going against the grain picking the steelers. I like it.
I guess I'll play...
MVP: Trent Edwards
Defensive Player of the Year: Donte Whitner
Offensive Player of the Year: Trent Edwards
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Eric Wood
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Aaron Maybin
Comeback Player of the Year: James Hardy
NFL Leaders in:
Rushing: Fred Jackson
Recieving Yards: Terrell Owens
Receptions: Lee Evans
TD's: Fred Jackson
Sacks: Tie. Aaron Maybin and Aaron Schobel with 21 each.
AFC Champs: Bills
NFC Champs: ...Bills
SUPER BOWL WINNER: Bills
Ths sad thing is that your predictions wont even be true amongst the team...Trent will not be the MVP, Lynch will lead the team in Rushing, TO will lead the team in Receptions, Lynch or TO will lead in TD's, we will be champs of nothing, Schobel will be comeback player of the year, Poz will be defensive player of the year, and TO will be offensive player of the year...
So even if we held an all bills predictions, about 80% of yours are way off the mark adding to the irrelevance of your post...
-
PS: I know I picked A. Rodgers as MVP and offensive player of the year yet chose P. Manning and Brees to lead in QB rating and passing yards...but heres why.
I think Rodgers may not lead league in yards, but will be top 3 at min. He will likely finish closely behind Brees in yards. Manning may have a higher QB rating because he is so incredibly effecient, but I think Rodgers has more yards and TD's than him.
So overall, I think Rodgers has the better season and is top 3 in just about every passing category and wins what might be the toughest division in football...
-
With the season kicking off I figured we can throw some predictions out that dont just focus on the Bills or the AFC East, but the whole NFL...
Here are the topics and my predictions for them:
MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Defensive Player of the Year: Ed Reed
Offensive Player of the Year: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Hakeem Nicks
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Aaron Curry (tough choice between him and Ray Maulauga)
Comeback Player of the Year: Carson Palmer (I picked him over Brady because I think Palmer makes Cincy relevant again and makes a more noticeale difference on that teams win/loss record while NE was still strong without Brady)
NFL Leaders in:
QB Rating: P. Manning
Passing Yards: Drew Brees
Rushing: Adrian Peterson
Recieving Yards: Andre Johnson
Receptions: Wes Welker
TD's: Adrian Peterson
Sacks: Mario Williams
AFC Champs: Steelers
NFC Champs: Green Bay
SUPER BOWL WINNER: Steelers (as much as I hate to say it, but they are just the most complete team)
Hey, Cutler looks great!!

2000 posts? LMAO Magox at how you love to exaggerate...and if you think you have only posted 10 posts on your crusade of Cutler to prop up Trent you are high as a kite. You have posted hundreds (and thats no exaggeration), in fact, it was the main topic for almost a month a while back.
If you are going to label me "on a crusade" because I am critical of Trents flaws and discuss them in threads other people create, then what exactly are you on? Not only do you bash Cutler at every opportunity, but you also start threads on it...you are on as much of a crusade as anyone my friend...
FYI: In regards to your comeback post to Bandit, you counter Bandits comment about how Trent has poor "outings" against good teams with Cutler has a poor "record" against good teams...Records and outings are two completely different things. Cutler's win/loss record against good teams has more to do with his defense not being able to stop a high school offense then his production. When we lose to good teams Trent's averages are less than 200 yards passing and almost a 2 to 1 turnover to TD ratio...in other words, we lose because of bad games by Trent...
And thats just facts...check the books. In almost every single loss with Trent at the helm, we were in a winnable situation despite him having very poor outings...just average outings might have gotten us a lot of those losses back. Den didnt lose often because of Cutler...most of their losses came because the D couldnt hold the opponents to under 21 points (which is a modest request in the NFL).
