  1. Wow, we got no picks this year. 2025 2nd rounder via Vikings. We sent them Diggs, 6th this year and 5th next year.
  2. Ha all good. I mean the cap hit on this gross, really surprised they did pulled the trigger this year, it makes me wonder if something happened behind the scenes that is gonna come out after the fact.
  3. Well that’s because I thought we wouldn’t take the cap hit and would wait until next year. I mean a lot of us thought the same, including you lol. The one thing that excites me about this is what this means for Shakir. I think he could be a 1000 yard WR now for us this next season and I can’t wait to see him in an expanded role.
  4. Thanks for sharing this, nice find Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if this changes multiple more times in the weeks coming up, but I think it does certainly support what I am being told and believe, that Maye is very much in play still in Washington at #2.
  5. Its probably more that maybe Jayden is the front runner, but I am told they haven't made a final decision. Im just relaying what they told me, and the person I am talking to has direct inside insight in Washington. All they said was that both still have their supporters (didn't indicate how much for either) and they don't feel they need to rush the final decision and still discussing all options. But take that FWIW, just something being passed down, have no idea how accurate it is or isn't, just sharing.
  6. They said that about Darnold going to the Browns before it came down to Baker or Allen. I have heard some things from people I trust who have been reliable that Maye is still very much in play for Commanders. Still very well could be Daniels, but from I am hearing is that both Maye and Daniels have their supporters within the Commanders and that they are both still being openly discussed and weighed.
  7. Yeah nothing wrong with your pick, I get your logic even though I’m more doubtful they go WR in the real draft at this spot after signing Ridley. Still understand why you made it though
  8. I think it’s a sure bet that 4 QBs going top 10 and might even be the first 4 picks in the draft because Minnesota is clearly positioning themselves to trade up for a QB starting as early as the 4th pick and on. And if I am the Cardinals I would trade down easily and still land one of the top WRs while picking up a lot of premium draft capital.
  9. Talent wise, this would be a great pic and I get why you made it. However, I just have a hard time accepting the Titans will go WR here anymore after spending big on Ridley. There is a lot of talent in this spot at major areas of need for them and Titans aren’t a team in position to make luxury pick here IMHO. In fact, my personal feeling is that I think they spent the money on Ridley so they could go another direction here in the draft. Obviously he is worthy of this selection, just don’t see it anymore after signing Ridley. But that’s just my 2 cents, who knows Titans may see it different and want to stack the WR room.
  10. I picked on what I think the commanders are gonna do. I’ve heard Mayes name is very much still in play. I mean that’s a personal opinion and one you’re certainly entitled too. But odds are Maye is gonna go top 5 and could still go 2nd. PS: Many also said that about Allen in regards to Rosen. Never a good idea to condemn a player or annoit a player before they have stepped on the football field. Plenty of sure things busted and plenty of guys labeled busts before playing went on to be great.
  11. Durability was a factor that played into the thought process. But IMHO I think Maye has maybe the highest ceiling in the draft even if his floor is maybe lower than the others. But I think the Josh Allen affect comes into play here where they see some traits you can't teach and trust in their ability to harness and develop those and go with the upside here. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they went Daniels though, I don't disagree he is the safer pick and they may want to play it safe. I just think when you are in full reboot mode, there is no better time to take a big swing. Worst case you still suck 2 years from now and have a high pick to try again. But if you hit, you could be sitting on an absolute stud for the next 10+ plus years.
  12. They said that about the Bills too when we took Josh Allen. Absolutely very much could be Daniels. I went Maye because I think his 6'4" size and athletic gifts with that big and pretty accurate arm are going to be too tempting for Commanders. I have a feeling he could sneak up the Commanders board, and TBH, I have heard some rumblings about it too from people I trust. While that is certainly possible...to be fair as a counter point to that...how many people thought Allen would go ahead of Rosen a month before the draft? Or that Baker was going to go first overall earlier in the offseason instead of Darnold? Heck, at one point leading up to the draft, the 2 most talked about QB's to go first overall were Darnold or Rosen before Baker and Allen started climbing the rankings boards. So for me, I have this sneaky suspicion that the Commanders are going to fall in love with the physical gifts of Maye come draft night which is why I went Maye.
  13. With 2nd overall pick, the Washington Commanders select: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina CLICK FOR HIGHLIGHTS While its been no secret he is our guy, we are excited to officially make Drake a member of the Washington Commanders and the foundation of our future. We couldn't be more excited to add a QB with all the size and physical gifts you could want in an NFL franchise QB. We are enamored with his big arm and accuracy allowing him to make any throw at any given time on the field. We know the staff and players are excited to get out there and start working with Drake. While we believe he can come in and compete now, he will still have to show it and earn it on the field just like everyone else. @TPS and the New England Cheatriorts are now on the clock.
  14. With 2nd pick in the NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders trade the pick to the Buffalo Bills. Trade package is: Buffalo gets from the Commanders: 2nd overall pick, 2024 draft Commanders get from the Bills: 1st 2024 (28th)Bills 1st and 2nd round picks 2025 1st and 2nd round picks 2026 1st and 5th round pick 2027 Buffalo is now on the clock and selects: Quinyon Mitchell, CB Toledo. @Virgil go ahead and give that a quick approve...oh wait, I am trade commish too...stamp it approved!
  15. Yeah all good for sure But you’re not addressing any of my questions either so none of what you’re saying is making any sense to me. All good, just this seems like a quick way to eliminate the quick turn around opportunities for teams at the bottom
  16. Hahahaha come on dude. McD and Beane are NOT on the field actually playing. So stop, without drafting Josh Allen early this team is nothing compared to what its has been. Where would the Texans be right now if they didn't get draft Stroud and someone like Dallas did instead because of your crazy reverse way of doing the draft order? Probably still a 1-3 win team instead of a playoff team last year. Lol...sorry man, no disrespect, but not only is this idea just bad, your defense of it is making even less sense.
  17. yeah...the draft. You said it had zero to do with the draft...and now you are saying it was the draft. You are making no sense man, no offense. Again, your proposal is just not a good one nor will it ever switch to that. The NFL is actually one of the best sports leagues right now of where teams can make significant turnarounds in short windows because of how FA and the Draft work. I mean just look at the Texans (and a bunch of other teams too) as an example.
  18. Zero to do with the draft? Are you serious? Ever heard of Josh Allen? You don't think this team is a perennial playoff team now and SB contender because it drafted Josh Allen early? I mean you can't be serious. How many games do we win last year if Tyrod was our QB? How about in 2022? Does Tyrod put up 9 TD's in 2 games in the playoffs in 2021? I mean Josh Allen has the most TD's in NFL history in his first 6 seasons. We win because of Josh. We drafted Josh.
  19. 1. Washington 2. Minnesota 3. Philly
  20. Terrible idea. Bad teams would get stuck as being bad teams for a long time. Those teams would lose fans and ticket sales and become what the Clippers were in the NBA for decades when Sterling owned the team.
  21. So everything in what you posted suggested it’s a Frazier issue and then you end it with saying it was a McD issue? Doesn't really make sense When we blitzed and lost a game on the blitz this season everyone said should have only rushed 4. Doesn’t matter what he did or called…when it doesn’t work everyone says it should have been the opposite.
  22. Well the good news is he is already on the team Although not the same style of WR, but essentially talking about role potential, production, value, etc. I actually think Shakir's ceiling is higher than Robert Woods overall career. No guarantees he gets there, but I think he can have a better career than Woods potentially.
  23. See, now this is what I am talking about...great response...look at us now ha. And I agree with most of this, this is a lot how I feel about him. I am not going to say he can't be a WR1, I mean look at someone like Kupp. No one expected him to emerge into what he is until he actually did a couple seasons ago. But I think its more likely he establishes himself as top end second WR on a team at some point. I honestly don't know if he gets that chance in Buffalo, or anyone for that matter, the way Allen and the Bills like to spread the ball around outside Diggs with so many mouths to feed here in Shakir, Kincaid, Samuel and of course what rookie we draft and even Cook out of the backfield. However, once Diggs is done here (and could be as early as next year depending on how Diggs plays this season) I can see him really being the WR2 opposite whatever Rookie we take in this draft to be the heir to Diggs and Samuel playing out of the slot. And I do think Shakir has the potential to be an excellent compliment to a WR1 here in the post Diggs era. Kupp is actually a very good comparison to him, not saying he will reach his level of success, but the type of WR they are. And it is no surprise either because Shakir studies Kupp and patterns his game after Kupp. And spot on about about Sanders, agree with everything you said there and about Samuel as well. Kudos...
  24. Hahaha I still enjoyed the ride of reading your “logic” 😂
  25. Yeah when I say muddled I mean different skill sets and styles. Outside the top 4 the next 6-7 guys vary greatly by the eye of the beholder and by what traits people like more and all have cases for where they should rank amongst them.
