  1. I think the appropriate label is the weapons as a whole for Josh are better. Kincaid is going into year 2, Knox is a good TE, and Cook and Davis should be better than Cook and Murray last year. But if we isolate the WR room, whether its better or worse depends on how you view a group. Do you prefer to be top heavy or do you prefer to be more well rounded and deeper? Either way, it is still just a guess because we have no real information on this current group to truly weigh it against last year as only Shakir has caught a pass from Allen and we don't know what the new pieces will do yet. Personally, in this offense, I do think this WR group is likely "better" in terms of fit for both Brady's offense and Josh Allens game. I do believe in addition by subtraction and I think we will see that with Diggs and Davis gone and instead the offense built around having a diverse group that can uniquely attack all areas of the field.
  2. Hey, you will be definitely right if Rodgers doesn’t hold up. My assessment assumes the Jets get at least 80% of what Rodgers used to be and he plays most of the year. No one here is really right or wrong, we won’t really know until the games are played. But there are more reasons to expect Miami to slip this year with the losses they took on D IMHO
  3. I actually think there is a good chance Fields will finish the season as the starting QB as well, maybe even win it outright in camp/preseason. But I do still think Russ is still better than what they had last year, not by much, but a little and they were a near playoff team last year. But I do agree Russ sucks...just not quite as much as the QB's they had last season in Pitt.
  4. I think you need to catch up on Miami's changes...they didn't have that great of a defense last year, and they lost all their best players in their front 7, like all of them. Miami in 2022 went on a 5 game losing streak with a healthy Tua in the final 6 games and was in danger of missing the playoffs week 18 until Tua missed that game and a 3rd string rookie QB helped them snap the losing streak to just squeek into the playoffs...where they lost first game. Miamin in 2023 had a 4 game lead on the division with 5 games to go, With two MVP candidates in Tua and Hill through stretches of last year, they still couldn't manage to hold on and again blew the division and wound up as the 7th seed again in the playoffs to once again lose round 1. In 2 years, the only 2 games they have won against a team .500 or better was the Bills early in 2022 in the heat stroke game. A game where they only won because the Bills were missing 13 starters between injuries coming in and heat related issues during the game. It was so bad that Tommy Doyle had to play the final driver of the game for 5 plays on a torn ACL because we did not have enough OL to put on the field. And that was the reason the OL was so slow on the final play and couldn't get set to kick the game winning FG and Dorsey did his infmaous blow up in the booth. It took that extreme condition for them to beat a .500 team, and they were 1 second away from not winning that game. The other was Dallas, another paper tiger. And not only do they not beat .500 or better teams, often they were not really even competitive. And in 2024, their roster is considerably worse on the defensive side of the ball with Aaron Rodgers now also back in the division, and the Pats potentially being decent if Jacoby or Maye stabilize at QB because the Pats still have a strong defense and good run game. They won't be the easy out many think even though I don't believe they have any shot at the division. Not only will Miami not win the division, I have doubts they even make the playoffs. They were the 7th seed last year squeeking in again like 2022 and that was without Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, and Anthony Richardson in the AFC due to injuries. Then you have an expected improved QB situation in Pittsburgh as well, an improved opportunity for the Chargers with a better coaching staff there as well. Making the playoffs in the AFC was hard last year, but it should be even harder this year. And you still have the Tua injury factor always looming as well. Bills Jets Miami Pats
  5. One...this isn't even speculation; this is a guy just creating trades in his own mind for discussion. Two...this would be a terrible idea. Three...I have a hard time seeing Beane trading for an expensive aging oft injured DE after dealing with all the cap issues after the Von deal led to a year and a half of no Von or the ghost of Von due to injuries.
  6. That is generally what happens when you upgrade at QB, a more dynamic and explosive QB who got him more targets and the ball more.
  7. Bills would be noticeably worse with Cousins. A huge part of the Bills offense has been Allen’s ability to mask a mediocre OL (or worse) and mediocre to non existent run game using his own legs in several of those years. Just look at how much Diggs production leaped with Allen.
  8. Cook on another team wouldn’t come close to replicating that though. Here he never faces stacked boxes to stop him, he benefits from Allen putting fear in defenses with his Arm, scrambling and power running. I like Cook, and he took advantage of what was there. Just saying I don’t know that someone else like Davis couldn't replicate his last season or even surpass that. Davis is explosive and he runs with tenacity. And honestly he probably has better hands too. If Davis can show he can do that in the NFL, he’s going to push Cook for snaps.
  9. Yeah it must be hard to play with all that tension built up in the crotch 😂
  10. Watson. They were actually better with the ghost of Flacco. I think Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers are a better team.
  11. I agree except for Miami and Cleveland. I think Rams, Steelers and even Colts have a better case for top 10.
  12. Dolphins probably won’t even make the playoffs. They squeaked in with better rosters in 2022 and 2023. They were lucky guys like Burrow, Richardson, and Rodgers were hurt last year because if even one of them were healthy Miami would have missed the playoffs last year. And yet they keep losing with those same stars. So what’s your point. Literally this is the worst Miami roster compared to 2022 and 2023…and they squeaked in the playoffs both years and lost first playoff game. The only reason Miami made playoffs last year was because 3 AFC QBs got hurt. Because if any one plays they probably wouldn’t have been the 7th seed and sat out the post season. With all Miamis “elite” players, they have beaten only 2 teams with a winning record in 2 seasons. And again, they lost all their best players in their defensive front 7 this year. They are literally a worse roster now.
  13. We have top 4 potential, but 5-8 is where they should be ranked today. Only KC has won more games than us over the past 4 years, and while we have some changes, they aren’t enough to suddenly not still be a dangerous and good team. But we need to prove we are good enough to be in top 4 which until we do should really be KC, SF, DET, and Ravens before any games are played. But there are not 8 teams who should be ranked ahead of the Bills.
  14. You can’t be serious with the Dolphins. They may not even make the playoffs. 2022 they lost 5 games in a row in last 6 games of year with Tua…then Tua doesn’t play week 18 and they barely make playoffs thanks to a rookie 3rd string QB breaking their losing streak. 2023 they blow a 4 game lead with 5 games to go to lose the division (again with healthy Tua) and barely make the playoffs. They have zero playoff wins. They have only beaten 2 teams with a .500 record or better in 2 years. Now they have a worse roster than they had either of those 2 years with their defensive front 7 totally gutted. Yet you rank them ahead of the team that has beaten them continuously and won the division for the past 4 years? Dont get me started on the Browns who have not been very good when Watson plays and did better with the ghost of Joe Flacco last year.
  15. I think Diggs being gone is good for the team, I think Allen and the group will have more fun again this year. But I also think Diggs demise of his skills gets a bit exaggerated as well as I think the biggest change wasn't so much his skills diminishing but he role diminishing in how Brady wanted to run the offense. In Houston, while I think Diggs is still a legit WR1, he won't get those alpha WR type targets there with both Nico and Tank already established and having played a season with Stroud. But the guy can still play at a high level, he isn't that old yet. Which is why Beane was able to get a 2nd for him because Houston knows it has a near term window to go all in on vets while Stroud is cheap to try and snag an early SB in Strouds career.
  16. I have to say...with all the negativity by so many this offseason on everything from the Allens offseason, WR room, drafting of Keon, McD, Beane, Brady, roster turnover, etc...I was not expecting such a lopsided vote here in favor of Allen and the Bills. Good to see optimism is starting to come around more as we get ready for camp though! Personally, I think Diggs will have a good game, like 80-120 yards, maybe a TD...but I think Allen is gonna go off and put up like 350 total yards and 4 total TD's and lead the Bills to a win. So even though I could have voted "both" in the first one, I still voted Allen because I think while Diggs probably has a good game, I think Allen will have a great game. Allen is one of the most competitive people in the league, he is going to ready to make a statement.
  17. Lol...How is your question even a question? It's going to be the biggest question and story the week of the game across all NFL coverage. And all kinds of people on this board have different opinions on the state of Bills...good and bad.
  18. I think it's safe to say that is going to be a big game for a number of reasons. Bills are still looking to show they are one the beasts of the AFC, Texans are trying to prove they are for real, etc, etc. And this game could play a role in playoff seeding as well as both teams heading into the season as the betting favorites to win their divisions. Both teams have lots of new faces and 5 weeks into the season you would think those new players are or should be settling into their new teams and roles. But the big storyline is clearly going to be Allen and Diggs. And while they don't face each other on the field, you know they are both going to want to show they don't need the other and that their current teams made the best decision (Allen with Bills moving on vs Diggs with Texans acquiring him). So, who do you think comes out having the better individual game, Allen or Diggs? And bonus question: Who wins the game since having the better game doesn't always mean their team won?
  19. Am I the only who finds it funny when people hit the disagree emoticon when the topic is asking who are the 4 people you as an individual disliked the most? Like how can you disagree that those are the 4 people that person likes least? Do you think they are lying about their personal choices? LOL
  20. Funny how many Bills fans who are "mad" about this were actually the first to condemn him in the court of public opinion even though all the early info all suggested he may actually be not involved or guilty...still screamed for his head...through the Bills regime under the bus...and now many of those same posters are all mad he is on the Chiefs and not on our team. Internet always keeps those receipts 😉
  21. @PBF81as I was telling you...Beane is known and seen as probably the most candid GM in the NFL.
  22. They will hate this contract in 2 years. He ain't it.
  23. Im not suggesting to copy the Chiefs, I am saying over investing at WR has not been a wise investment for anyone in terms SB Success. And we have invested more premium assets in the last 3 years in the offense than the defense.
  24. OJ - He killed on the field...and then off the field too Kelvin Benjamin - What a fat POS this guy was..so fat and lazy he tried to become a TE rather than not be a fat POS Trent Edwards - Can't respect playing like a coward Ralph Wilson - Refusing to pay and have a GM, being cheap, and not taking this team seriously and putting us through 17 years of a tragic comedy was the worst. Honorable Mention - Buddy Nix, the high-motor DE's, Zay Jones, Vontae Davis, Nathan Peterman, Nathanial Hackett, and Kyle Orton
  25. 2018 though, come on, we were in full cap shedding mode. People give Beane way too much flack for the early years where it was much less about the rebuild and more about the tear down. Beane wasn't rebuilding in 2018, he was 100% focused on cleaning up the cap, this isn't even a question as he stated that over and over again. They were not looking to be big spenders. Even guys like Saffold were short term stop gaps not long-term commitments while we were still building the roster. Its not like quality OL just are readily available. And keep in mind, FA's need to WANT to sign with us and then CHOOSE us (caps to emphasize not yell), and it wasn't until probably 2021 did the Bills start to become more attractive to FA's. Disagree...when you have Stefon Diggs in his prime you do not need to do this. For 2 of Allens best 4 seasons he had a top 5 WR in Diggs (arguably top 3 for 2 of those) and the best slot WR in the NFL in Cole. They still had plenty of other solid to good players as well. They planned for Cole's departure by drafting Shakir and signing Crowder, who despite his injuries making his time here irrelevant, was a solid signing to hold the spot down until Shakir was ready. Instead, the injuries forced McKenzie up the pecking order. Beane has used 3 of his 5 first picks on receiving weapons for Josh the past 5 years. Show me another team that has used 3 of their last 5 picks on receivers in the NFL. You can't disregard Kincaid, he was drafted to receiver the ball, not do TE things. You comment that we have invested less is disingenuous IMHO because Beane also used FA to keep putting guys ready to play around Josh too...you want to say less because Beane hasn't used a bunch of day 2 or 3 picks on WR's, but he also didn't need to for the reasons I just stated. And the ones he did, hit like Davis and Shakir based on their draft slots. 2 years ago, all the rage here and in the media was that Josh needs a RUN game when Daboll left, he can't be asked to do it all. Diggs was Diggs, and Davis seemed ready to start full time after the offense played better with him taking snaps away from Sanders the 2nd half of 2021. This notion that our receiving weapons were under invested was not much of a thing until after 2022 when Davis struggled to deliver on expectations even though his season totals were not that bad. And Beane immediately addressed that issue by both trying to trade up for a WR and getting rebuffed and instead finding a trade up for Kincaid. When Davis proved to be the question mark, Beane didn't hesitate at all to not only use our first rounder, but trade up as well. I don't disagree here so much, I just think the D+ is a but harsh because the more recent investments in the DL have been good ones in guys like Floyd and Daquan. I mean that is a pretty small thing to ding him for, trading for some depth when we had some potential injury issues was no big deal. They traded for him because it was in season, and he knew the defense. What they gave up was pretty meaningless too. The fact he was able top keep Hyde and Poyer her for the prime of their careers, even when it seemed like that wouldn't happen, should grossly outweigh this. Not to mention, he got maybe the best S prospect in this years draft too.
