  1. Agree, but Worthy size limits his role at the next level IMHO. Guys like Hill and Tank Dell play bigger than their size, Worthy doesn't and the lack of strength I think is going to limit his ability at the next level. And guys like Tank are more the exception than the rule on top of that. For a team like say Dallas, I can see him being a great addition potentially opposite Lamb, on turf, etc. But for a team looking for a WR1...I don't think he is that dude.
  2. Too bad the fastest guy in combine history doesn’t translate to the field and play like the fastest player in history. Too much is being made about his straight line speed in shorts IMHO. Actual game day speed is made up of more than a forty time. Meanwhile he only caught 6 of the 23 deep ball targets and only caught 5 of his 21 contested catch targets. 40% of his snaps were in slot, and 21% of his targets were screens. Worthy is going to get over drafted and most likely be a complimentary piece somewhere than a lead dog.
  3. My concerns on Worthy further explained on his 2023 season: Only caught 6 of his 23 deep ball targets. Only caught 5 of his 21 contested targets. Working over the middle of the field he had some drops and incompletions by alligator arming some opportunities, which with his frame that is not surprising. 40% of his snaps were from the slot. 21% of his targets were screens. Im not gonna hate taking him, I mean the speed is exciting. But this guy plays to his size as compared to someone like Tank Dell or Tyreek Hill who are typical guys brought up when talking about Worthy. But both those guys both play bigger than their frame and are stronger for their size than Worthy is. So where my concern comes from is the WR room makeup overall. We are a team who already has 3 guys in Samuel, Shakir, and Kincaid who are going to all be commanding Slot snaps...adding a WR in the draft who played 40% of his snaps in the slot and has not shown great deep ball skills makes me a bit concerned about the how these guys blend together. Again, if we end up taking him first, I won't be pissed, but I will be concerned on where we are going to get size and toughness from on our offense outside Allen when the weather gets bad and the games get more physical in the playoffs.
  4. So what are you saying the offer is exactly because it looks like you’re saying Dawkins plus a bounty of picks still.
  5. The NFL is always evolving, and as I think as it does players and the attributes they are able to succeed with will too. And while certain attributes may not be ideal, the right player who has that extra something to get there, over come, and reach their potential can still succeed at high levels. And I do very much think Shakir has that extra something to get the most out of his talent. Also, I love St. Brown and his story. I knew he was gonna be a star and was my kind of player when I watched him on Hard Knocks between how he finished hot the season before, how hard he trained and worked out with his dad, and how he knew every WR drafted ahead of him and had that chip on his shoulder. Which he very much did and helped me win some championships that year in fantasy as I targeted him and got him in most my leagues. Will Shakir get to his level...I don't know, but I do know that I wouldn't count him out on doing so either.
  6. Yeah, totally agree. Honestly what AZ does at 4 starts to get impacted even with what Commanders do at 2 and then again with what NE does at 3. Its 100% gonna come down how the draft falls at the top in how AZ handles their pick and how aggressive other teams are to get to their pick based on what QB gets there. Gonna be a fun draft, and I also agree on Arnold. All in all, AZ IMHO is setup maybe the best of any team in this draft this year between where they pick and how many picks they have coming in that are in first 3 rounds.
  7. With the 21st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia CLICK HERE FOR HIGHLIGHTS Look, we are the fastest team in the NFL, but we also know our QB Tua is kind of a little soft princess where if he can't get to his early reads he turns back into a pumpkin. All this speed means nothing if we can't get our soft as Charmin 1 read QB some time to throw the ball because if we have to rely on his improvisation skills one more season then all of us on the coaching staff and FO are gonna be trying to start OnlyFan foot fetish accounts next year to pay the bills. Our DL is full of guys who may not start in the XFL, let alone start in the NFL, but all the guys we would consider here were off the board. So the choice was easy to go get a mammoth of a man to protect our Oompa Lumpa of a QB so he has a chance to not suck and blow 4 game divisional leads late in the season and actually beat teams with a .500 or better record. @stinky fingerand the Philadelphia Piss Drunk Eagles are on the clock. Here is comedian Artie Lange telling one of the funniest and best Eagles fan stories of all time for context:
  8. Yeah both scenarios would be a great draft for Arizona...my only issue is with it is that I don't think Mitchell gets to the 20th pick. But the net of both our moves were a little more different: In yours you got MHJ and Mitchell and have 2 thirds left and 1 fourth. In mine, I got Odunze and Wiggins and have 5 thirds (4 of them early thirds) and two early 4th round picks. And if that trade really happened between AZ and Giants, AZ likely gets more than what I took in that mock because of the bidding war will drive the price up for a QB. So I would still prefer to the trade backs if I am AZ, but either way, if the draft went the way it did for you, it would still be stellar and something they would be excited about.
  9. This is exactly my concerns with Worthy. One of our biggest issues is that our offense has NOT been suited for tough physical games, especially in bad weather. We want an outdoor stadium then you better have a team that excels in the bad weather if you want that to be an advantage and not a disadvantage. When the howling winds, rain, snow, etc come the first thing that gets negated is speed and the first thing that gets magnified if toughness and physical play. If we already had some size and strength on this team, then great, go get that elite speed guy. But we don't, not even at RB. I just feel like come late season and postseason, we need more toughness than just Josh Allen.
  10. if you google “How tall is Xavier Worthy” his height he’s 6’-1” every where else though. So not sure what’s accurate, but during combine the big knock was being over 6 feet tall and weighing 164 pounds. Here is a couple for example https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4683062/xavier-worthy https://texassports.com/sports/football/roster/xavier-worthy/12556 Either way, he’s still a stick figure though as you said.
  11. Its worse...hes actually 2 inches taller at 6'1" and 165 pounds. He is literally a stick figure thats not gonna be able to get off the line in bad weather games.
  12. Only way I can see them go way up is if Odunze/Nabers gets to at least 12. And there are paths for that to happen. I think BTJ is very likely a target and one they would go up and get. I hope we don't move up for Worthy though. If we take Worthy at 28, fine, but I am not a fan of moving up for someone who has real question marks if his light frame can hold up to a WR1 role for 17 games and playoffs. Will he even be able to get off the line in snow/bad weather games in Buffalo when the game gets more physical and slower? LOVE the idea of his speed, but I fear his best traits are vulnerable to what comes with playing in Buffalo.
  13. As I said before...I HOPE Miami takes Worthy, would be one of the worst moves they could make and I would love every second of it. I assure you it will result in the firing of the whole regime a year from now. With a better roster than they have now, and the fastest roster in the NFL the past 2 seasons they have only beaten 2 teams who had a winning record, blew a 4 game lead in the division with like 5 games to go, and haven't won a playoff game. Their trenches are a total mess now and there will be great prospects on both sides of the trenches at 21. Taking a guy who is going to be WR3 and maybe get 30-40 receptions this year (unless injuries give him more opportunities) is not changing anything for them. As it is, they are staring down the barrel of missing the playoffs (which they barely made last year) this year. Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Bengals are all there...then you got Jets, Jags, Steelers, Browns, Colts, and maybe Chargers who will also all likely at least make some playoff noise if not flat out make the playoffs. Nothing will be funnier to me than seeing Miami take Worthy and McDoofus show he has no idea how to build a football team outside of Madden.
  14. Sadly, if we move up for any WR in the first there is very little chance...I would say almost no chance...we take another WR in the 2nd. We have some many other positions we need to address and we don't have a 3rd plus we will be without whatever other picks we included to move up in the first. If we stay at 28 and take Worthy, then maybe they would go WR in 2nd too (and I would be pounding the table hard for Polk if we were to take a WR in the 2nd), but still without a 3rd and badly needing to address a couple other areas, I just highly doubt we go WR - WR even without trading up in rounds one and 2.
  15. I agree on Mitchell. And end of day, we all have our draft crushes this time of year, it’s what makes the draft so interesting. My 2 top targets outside the big 3 are Thomas and McConkey personally.
  16. I agree with your overall point...but here is a counter point too: Every year there are guys who are big and run fast in shorts at the combine who get over drafted over the potential of what that means despite not having the college resume to support the draft slot. Legette has sky high potential, but he also has probably the most risk of the guys expected to go in first 2 rounds. I don't think he is ready to be a complete WR1 at the next level and has a lot to work on that could take a couple seasons before you know what you have in him long term. Which is why I like some other guys in the first over him. My stance is...I won't hate the pick if he is who we take in the first, his potential is still exciting...but I will be cautiously optimistic on year 1 expectations to say the least. I would feel more comfortable taking him in the 2nd though, again, he does have elite potential, it is just that he also proabably has the highest bust risk too.
  17. Yeah, I am pretty skeptical he goes first round. Thomas is clear WR4 for me, and I think McConkey, Mitchell, Franklin, and Worthy are gonna likely go (in no particular order) before him. Then, again in on particular order, you still have Coleman, Pearsall, Wilson, Corley, Polk (who I am hearing is one of the drafts biggest risers leading up to Thursday), McMillan, etc who are all going to have a good shot at going round 2 as well along with Legette.
  18. As the GM of the Dolphins in the TSW v3.0 Mock there is no F-ing way I am taking Worthy even though I am fully aware they might actually be that dumb on draft night. So I definitely agree he is a legit option at 21 on draft night because McDaniel is a buffoon who has no clue how to build a football team. Personally, I think McDaniel is fired after this year as I don't see them making playoffs. Teams like Bengals, Jets, Steelers, Browns, Chargers, Colts and some others all have a legit shot at being better this year and being or challenging to be a playoff team. Then you still got Chiefs, Bills, Houston, Ravens, Jags, etc. Miami barely made it last year and choked the division away with a stronger roster than they will have this year. So to use a first round pick on a guy who will be penciled in as your WR3 this year with Hill and Waddle there would be just stupid unless they are trading one of Hill or Waddle. They are so bad in the trenches, and its going to be their achilles heal this year. None of this is about Worthy who I think will go first round. Its about the Dolphins make up of their team and how taking Worthy for them is a Madden team building move, not an NFL team building move that will probably get this regime fired a year from now when they go down as the fastest team in history to not make the playoffs.
  19. Nice pick, I think Murphy is coming off the board much earlier than people think and will be either the first or 2nd defender to come off the board. He is popular mock to Bengals at 18 or Seattle at 16 (I think there is no way he gets past Seattle though) but I think he might go as high as 8 to Falcons (assuming they don't have their first round stripped in next couple of days for tampering) or possibly 9 to Bears.
  20. Oh yeah, my comment wasn't at all directed like at you personally, I get its because they are showing interest in him, others think he is possibility there. My post was 100% really about how stupid the Dolphins front office would be if they do it.
  21. While its possible they do take him at 21...I would say that if the Dolphins draft Worthy at 21 they should immediately fire the GM before their next pick. Lets Recap: Dolphins have one of the best, and some would say arguably the best, WR duos in the NFL in Hill and Waddle. Dolphins are the fastest team in the NFL both at WR and RB and fastest offense overall. Elite speed at both positions. Despite all of this, in the last years the Dolphins have failed to win their division, even with a 4 game lead late in the season, have failed to win a playoff game, and have only won 2 games against teams with a .500 or better record in 2 seasons. So why is that? Despite all that speed, most in the NFL, the offense is easily defensible by simply disrupting Tua's early reads. There is no way adding Worthy makes any difference to this teams fortunes. They are not going to be able to get teams off the field on defense, and on offense, with Worthy as a 3rd WR he won't help Tua when his OL stinks and teams keep disrupting Tua and taking away all the speed advantage they have. Now add in: Dolphins OL is a mess Dolphins lost everyone who matters in their front 7 and DL is a bigger mess than OL Like I would literally absolutely fire the GM the moment Worthy's name was announced...not a knock on Worthy at all, its about Miami needs and team makeup where. Worthy is a god awful pick for them to use their first round pick on as he will be essentially a WR3 on their team that has massive holes in the trenches. There will be some really good OL guys on the board at 21. I PRAY this happens, I will laugh so hard and I promise you it would be the end of this coaching staff and front office by next offseason.
  22. *TRADE ALERT* The Commanders and Bears have agreed to a trade. Commanders receive: #9 (1350) Bears receive: #12 (1200) #100 (100) #121 (52) @mragsand the Washington Commanders are now on the clock.
  23. IMHO this pick is almost as much of a lock as Caleb to Chicago if he is on the board (Chargers could snag him at 5 though if the smoke about Harbaugh wanting to focus on the trenches first has legs and they don't trade back). Titans probably already have the card filled out ha Nice, I think the pick is either Byron Murphy or Dallas Turner myself too. Personally, I have a feeling its gonna be Murphy, but if not then it will likely be Turner. Both would be good picks for them as they need to address the whole DL.
  24. I just have this gut feeling Caleb is gonna not live up to the hype in Chicago. Something about him reminds me of Jeff George...incredible talent but I think his ego and mental aspects are going to be his own worst enemy. When I look for a QB to have elite potential, a big part of that is inspiring those around them to want to go to war with them. They elevate and motivate those around them, and I lack confidence in Caleb to excel in those areas. Kind of like Jamie Foxx in "Any Given Sunday" where he was a hard guy to like for a while and didn't have the support of everyone in the locker room. I like Maye's upside potential more than Caleb even though Maye does have a lower floor with more to work on to be a top end QB in the NFL. He has a Josh Allen type ceiling when you watch him play.
  25. Rumors swirling that the Cardinals have been locked in on MHJ for weeks and gonna take him unless someone knocks their socks off...which I think is probably accurate if they stay at 4, but I think those rumors are a clear ploy to drive the price up and fuel the bidding war for this pick. If Giants want McCarthy not only do they have to contend with AZ possibly trading this but lots of belief the Chargers want to trade back too. That is not one, but 2 spots for Vikings, Broncos, or Raiders to potentially leap frog them for JJ McCarthy if they are as high on him as the buzz would suggest. And they supposedly will not make any decisions until on the clock, to again put pressure and drive last min bids. I think they still trade back, but obviously if they don't MHJ is the most likely pick.
