Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes: The changing of the guard?
Alphadawg7 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are there throws and runs Mahomes can make that Allen can't make? No. Are there throws and runs Allen can make that Mahomes can't make? Yes. Will Josh ever get serious consideration for being better than Mahomes without winning a Super Bowl? No. I bet on 4 things every year for 4 seasons in a row...Josh will win MVP, McD COY, Bills AFC Champions, Bills Super Bowl Champs. - McD was robbed of COY at least once. - Allen was robbed of MVP once and would have one it in another season if not for Rodgers historic season himself. - 13 Seconds robbed us at real shot of AFC Champs and SB Champs. So this year...I stopped betting. I bet on none of them. And the reason why is because I actually felt (and posted about this too) that this season could be Allens best ever in this new offense, and with lowered expectations that he had maybe his best shot ever at MVP and McD would have his best shot ever at COY if the Bills still dominate despite all the "player losses" and being a "transition year"...so I did not want to jinx it by betting on them again and decided I would rather not do it to increase the odds of it happening. Josh is gonna be MVP, McD might be COY, and the Bills are gonna at least reach the AFCCG. Your welcome for my sacrifice 😂 -

The 11.7 ypc is not evident of their ability down field, its evident of the game flow and play calls that have been working like clockwork. Josh isn't having any trouble connecting with guys down field outside of the 2 deep shots Allen just missed to a very open MVS that was on Allen, not the receivers. You want to have an inconsistent offense, focus on the deep ball, especially now. And the YPC is down across the entire league as teams are playing a lot more to take that away. You want to win consistently and in the postseason, then win up front, run the ball effectively, and have a great short to mid game because that will be over 95% of your plays every game. All of that opens up better opportunities on the deeper throws compared to an offense (see Daboll and Dorsey) that tried to always push the ball downfield and couldn't execute a run game or short area passing attacks effectively. -

Mack is making a significant positive impact on this team so far despite some peoples refusal to admit it. He has made significant key blocks on the majority of our running and receiving TD's this season, he is catching his targets clean with soft hands, he is running good routes and his TD week 1 was a text book route. I am not surprised, its exactly what I said he would be for this team this year and understood the importance of such a roll in the system Brady wanted to run. Its unfortunate others prefer to stick to their negative bias about him rather than appreciate the positive aspects and contributions he has had so far. He has been one of my favorite players on the All-22, he is all over the field impacting the game in positive ways. -
Injury Report ???? - Taron Johnson, Bernard, Milano
Alphadawg7 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Taron has a chance for this week, but not totally positive on that. But as both have mentioned, neither was put on IR making it likely both are back in less time than 4 weeks That would put Taron likely back this week or next and Bernard likely back against Hou or Jets. So I will be curious to see what updates come on both of them throughout the week. -

Im not “haranguing” anyone and I challenge you to find one post I have made about our 3-0 start that has lectured anyone about anything related to the 3-0 start. I have said in every post it’s early and still lot of football left and nothing has been proven in 3 games. So yeah, you’re barking up the wrong tree with this take. -
How are we feeling about the next 3 weeks?
Alphadawg7 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ah, nice as it’s usually us having to do stuff like that. -
Ah, I haven’t checked their schedule. Although I would guess most people included the Commanders as part of that cupcake schedule and they still lost, so we will see how they respond.

I’m very confident right now. Neither Ravens or Texans have lived up to the preseason hype. They are legit opponents, don’t get me wrong, but we have defended Lamar well in the past and the Texans offense hasn’t looked nearly as potent as many predicted so far. Jets are the more dangerous team of the 3 being a divisional foe, in their house, and Rodger’s seems to be getting his form back. If that trend continues then I think he will be the more dangerous of the 3 QBs come week 6. Not to mention, Rodger’s will probably be extra amped for this game against his buddy Josh and wanting to prove the Achilles injury is past him against the team he got hurt against. But I do believe we will enter the favorite in all 3 contests and I think we will be 5-0 going into that Jets game. My confidence level is high still in all 3 games. Brady dismantled the Jets D last year and his offense looks even better so far through the first 3 weeks. -
Yeah Mims replaced him. But he’s raw like you said, it’s a big question mark if he can become a legit starting tackle or not. The NFL is littered with the failed careers of massive or athletic freaks that were raw and never got there. And as bad as Cincy has been playing with Burrow under center for 2 seasons, not sure they can remain in the hunt if he struggles to get up to speed quickly after they started 0-3 in a tough division.
-
He’s been impressive with his opportunities so far to say the least. He is one of the many great stories on the defense. Outside a handful of a few people who were all doom and gloom about the offense…I think it’s safe to say most people had bigger questions/concerns about the defense coming into the season. Then seeing Milano go down before the season, losing Taron first quarter week 1, then Bernard early week 2…you would think we would be doomed so far on the defensive side of the ball. But man, so many unheralded players stepping up in their absence to see this defense be dominant through 3 games has been just a joy and phenomenal thing to see. Can we sustain it…we will see…but hats off to him and others for helping this team jump out a 3-0 start in dominant fashion.

Weird…last I checked the Bills play NFL football, not FFL. Only stats that matter are on the scoreboard. I find it hilarious that you want to talk about individual stat totals when in week 1 Josh completed only 18 passes and to NINE different players, week 2 we ran the ball to a blowout win that the offense killed clock for a half…and week 3 Josh completed passes to Ten…let me say again…TEN…that’s 10…different players and again the offense had to kill clock for almost an entire half because it was lopsided. But you want to talk about individuals stat totals as a counter point? You literally couldn’t pick a worse approach to trying to downplay the first 3 games of the everybody eats philosophy. But hey, it is only 3 games, a lot of football left, so you’re not wrong about that. We need to see how Brady and the offense handle stiffer tests when those teams have more film on this offense before we know what we really have or don’t have here. -
Give some love to the big guys up front

It’s amazing how many people still don’t understand how fundamentally more important the OL is to the offense over a flashy top tier WR. You better be tough, able to win in the trenches and be able to effectively run the ball if you want to advance and win in the postseason. -

I don’t know if @Simonsaid that or not given how often you misquote and mischaracterize people’s previous posts around here. But why do you always play this game and try and deflect accountability for your own takes that are wrong or not looking so hot? Like this has nothing to do with this thread. And if you think you are special and don’t have your own closet full of bad takes people can cash receipts on you are sorely mistaken. The one thing that I do agree with, it’s still early, nothing is definitively proven yet and never was going to be, good or bad, after 3 weeks. Teams will get more tape and we will see if they can find ways to disrupt this new look offense or not. But undoubtedly it’s off to a resoundingly impressive start and Brady’s offense is unquestionably netting better results for 12 games now. -

Actually go look at Diggs stats in our 4 playoff losses. He wasn’t what you thought he was. Houston fed Diggs the ball this week…blowout loss. Bills offense has monumentally been better since we stopped focusing on Diggs for 13 games now. -

Come on dude. Week 1 Allen attempted just 2 passes before the final 2 minutes of halftime and yet Coleman led the team in snaps, catches, and yards in a game where 9 different players caught one of Allen’s 18 completions. Week 2, the offense took the whole 2nd half off and Josh threw even less and it was a game dominated on the ground. Week 3 he sat the first quarter from being late, but caught an impressive TD in the 2nd quarter in a game where TEN different people caught a pass and again the offense took it easy for the second half of another blow out leaving Keon barely playing over a quarter this week after missing first quarter and offense taking it easy in 2nd half. The fact you want to disparage him while completely ignoring the facts and context says you’re more interested at this point in being right about him and the WRs than actually giving a fair and unbiased review of his season and the WRs season as a whole. -

Its something like 34 in a row going back to last year 😃 -
Keon Coleman - benched 1st quarter for being late
Alphadawg7 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think it’s a negative actually. I think it was a teaching moment and he responded and didn’t have a bad attitude about it and they rewarded him with his first TD. I would bet anything that it was an accident or unintentional late, as in, don’t think it had anything to do with the kids attitude or ethic. Probably a simple mistake or misjudgment on time to get to the game or something. -

Respect ✊ There are a lot of people who have gone into hiding since the season began and haven’t posted here or much of anywhere else for that matter. I am sure they are waiting for our first loss to pop back up lol -

But do we have deficiencies even? Because none have shown up on the field yet. All that matters is do you have the personnel to execute the offense you run at a high level. And so far that is a resounding yes and they have shown no deficiencies in executing this offense. -
Week 3, Jagoffs v. Bills, GAME BALLS!

Agreed, Daboll and especially Dorsey were incredibly stubborn and forcing what they wanted rather than scheming and adjusting to who they were playing. -

Yes…was talking about the WRs obviously. Oh Cook…that’s I believe 5 or 6 for sure TD’s he’s dropped between last year and this year -

Joe Brady deserves some love as does all the coaches. Masterful game across the board. Joe Brady - 3 weeks, 3 different offenses. Ten…let me repeat…Ten different players caught passes tonight. Ten. 10. -

Well then you are in luck as Bills have zero drops and Allen is completing 75% of his passes in 3 games with 9 TDs and no Ints and no passes even close to an INT. Allen has completed 34 of 34 passes in a row to Shakir, not even a throw away.
