So much so they haven’t won a playoff game and only beat 3 teams with a .500 record since 2022

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Alphadawg7 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, I have only watched people who break down Chiefs games and seen their reviews and the plays they put up, although I have watched all 3 Chiefs games and you can see it in the live games and replays where he is often not open. But people who break down Chief games have been pretty critical of his first 3 games so far having expected much more after starting the season as the starter with the Brown news. But its only 3 games in...pretty sure no ones career was decided in their first 3 games...well maybe Nathan Peterman haha...so plenty of time for him to get it going still and with an elite QB and offensive mind in Reid to help try and get him going. -
That's my Quarterback: A Catan Champion (ESPN article)

Where about in CA are you? I am in SoCal now, but moving to the Roseville area. -

I mean MHJ and Nabers look the part, and Odunze has fared well too despite terrible QB play so far in Chicago. I also think Coleman, McConkey and Thomas have all shown their potential at points too. If just those 6 continue on a path that makes them strong to great starters it will have been a great WR draft. -

I love this article haha. Although it pisses me off that I bought Catan like 3 years ago and before I heard about the Bills playing it. But yet to find a group to play with me so I just result to playing the online clone version against bots called Colonist lmao. -

To be fair, he was never going to be Tyreek Hill, they are not remotely the same style of build of a player. And while Hill had a modest rookie year, he also wasn't playing with prime Patrick Mahomes either like Worthy is. I commend you though for owning this and not being afraid to post it, so respect and kudos. I will say this...on tape, Coleman has been significantly more impressive to me as a primary pass catcher. Yes he had zero catches last week, but he was open for plenty the ball just went to other open spots in what was a limited passing game with Cook dominating and the Bills taking the foot off the gas almost the entire 2nd half to just chew clock and not get hurt in our blowout win. It is way too early to condemn his career to Mercole Hardman, but this was what most of us who were down on him in the draft were very much concerned about. Honestly, had Worthy run a 4.41 forty for example, he would have been a 3rd or 4th round pick at best IMHO and no one would have been hyping him up for the first round. But because he got even skinnier training to win the underwear olympics 40 time record he got all this buzz and hype. Outside his broken TD play that a backup TE would have caught and scored on week 1, he has 5 catches for 46 yards over the 3 games. I said it week 1 and its been even more true weeks 2 and 3, and that is he is struggling to get open. He has been the starting WR all 3 weeks too with Brown out. That being said...Coleman's week 1 game was more impressive than anything I have seen from Worthy in 3 weeks. Now...its early...Coleman hasn't proven anything yet and Worthy isn't condemned yet. In fact, I think Worthy will be a bigger threat once Brown is back and he doesn't have to be leaned on as a primary WR. But KC has a terrible track record with drafting and acquiring WR's lately, so doesn't surprise me they took another one that is struggling. I wanted nothing to do with Worthy ahead of the draft and even before the draft happened I hands down would have drafted Coleman over Worthy and nothing thus far has happened to change my opinion on that. I am still glad they took Worthy instead of McConkey or Mitchell who I thought were the more dangerous fits for KC's offense. -
I mean they kind of did that in the AZ game down 14 with 2 min left in the half and would go on to score 31 points in 31 minutes after that. Still just one game, but the offense turned it on and never looked back. And even before that was moving the ball easily but only had 2 drives thanks to a fumble and some false starts giving way to multiple long scoring drives by AZ that ate up all the time. But I keep saying week 5 for me is the true sniff test. Won't be a make or break game, but it will be the first true test as the Texans got the guys up front to disrupt this offense and they will have 4 weeks of film on the Bills offense for their defensive minded HC to prepare for.

Yeah, not sure he makes it elsewhere either...but just saying he was for sure not going to here. We provided the worst case scenario for him, not sure I have ever seen a drafted QB as mishandled and managed as he was here.

I dont know what EJ could have become somewhere else...but I know for sure he had no shot to become anything here or reach whatever his actual potential was with the train wreck coaching and handling he experienced here. Him getting drafted here was the worst thing for him. I think his peak ceiling was probably something like what Bridgewaters career has been...which while still not good (low end to bad starter, solid backup) would have at least been substantially better than what his career was and made him and his family more money.

Josh Allen, committed singles hitter (The Athletic)

Kurt is one of the most underrated QBs of all time IMO. You give me a playoff game or Super Bowl to win and I can choose Peyton or Warner, I’m taking Warner. -

Shakir has caught 28 targets in a row. That’s not 28 catchable balls with no drops. That’s 28 passes that went his direction. Allen has a 100% comp rate to Shakir in his last 28 attempts. So I think we can lock Shakir into that now as many of those were not easy throws or catches. Now Kincaid is no Gronk yet as a receiver, but he has shown he can be very good already with a high ceiling. And of course way too soon to know about Coleman yet. But overall, Allen has a good group to execute this style of offense including having that all important RBs who can catch out of the backfield that were so important to those Pats and Chiefs offenses too. And keep in mind, Brady’s first 3 SBs (over 4 years too), including over what was then the best offense in NFL history the first one they won, had a group of weapons that would be considered bottom of the league. -

Relying on the big play is what got us sent home multiple times, caused mid season slumps for 3 consecutive years, etc. Meanwhile Pats and Chiefs have built dynasties doing the opposite. -
Hard to fault Elam for being behind 2 guys playing at a very high level. I get the draft slots of him and Benford feel like the roles should be reversed, but draft slot means nothing once you step on the field and Benford is playing great right now. While I would not be surprised if they traded Elam (nor surprised to see him go on to be a good player somewhere), I would think they would be reluctant during the season to get thinner at another position on D while we have already seen so many injuries on that side of the ball unless Beane got an offer to good to not take.
