  1. KC traded for a DHop because they had no WR's left and Worthy isn't a lead WR player and wasn't drafted to be one in the first place. Buffalo was never done at WR despite so many freakouts this offseason as if we were. MVS and Samuel were providing nothing, and Shakir getting hurt showed we were an injury away from real struggles. It was not a reactionary move directly relating to Keon not being "the man" yet, who by the way had already started to show plenty of potential before the trade. And 100% of Keons production in Coopers first game was while Cooper was on the sidelines. For you to try and pin the move on it somehow being tied to Keon and some failure to be "the man" is just inaccurate IMHO. Especially since no one with the Bills drafted Keon with the expectation he would rise to be "the man" WR1 as a rookie.
  2. I agree, he wasn't drafted to be a WR1 in KC...we were on the other hand looking for a WR with WR1 type potential. Worthy was never a logical choice for the Bills while he made a lot of sense for a team like KC, Dallas, etc. Not only will Worthy potentially struggle to stay on the field, he is also going to struggle in phsyical games and games when the weather negates his speed too. But he will make plays in KC, he has an elite QB and a creative offensive mind in Reid. But, Worthy was never someone who should have been our pick.
  3. Worthy is never going to be what some people around here want him to be so they can be right about their outrage on draft night. Its as simple as that. He is fast and plays with Mahomes and Reid...so he will have opportunities to make some plays. But the odds he was ever going to be a WR1 type player are as low now as they were prior to the draft. It was funny watching the Worthy trolls puff up in the first half then shutup in the 2nd. Its as predictable as the sun setting around here. Even seeing some comments here about how we "got lucky" he didn't get that other foot down or he would have had 100 yards. Silly argument all around...reminds me about all the McKenzie defenders spouting off about his 11 catch game against the Pats as if that wasn't more an anomaly than a regular occurrence.
  4. Calling it now: They are going to extend Shakir this offseason. WR price tags got a bit ridiculous the Christian Kirk year, that also included a silly Zay Jones contract the same year by the same hapless team. But, they have gotten a bit more grounded since then outside the elite top tier guys. With how much we spread the ball around, Cooper here now, and Keon and Kincaid back soon, and Shakir having missed a game, he likely finishes right where I said he would between 900-1100 yards. But, it does NOT really matter where he finishes at this point. They are not going to extend him based on season totals. They are going to extend him because he is literally the perfect piece for Josh, this offense, this locker room, and this team. You won't find a coach or player who doesn't gush about him, not only as a player, but as a person and locker room guy. And when they gush about him as a player, its not about how many yards he gets, its about how he is a COMPLETE player on the field at all times. How he finishes plays always near the ball, playing the right way, and so selfless. Most importantly how he is the most reliable, dependable, and consistent player on this team. Shakir and his wife seem to love and embrace Buffalo too...its seems to be mutual. He will have an opportunity to wait until he is a FA and probably get more money, but I think both him and the Bills will be mutually aligned to get a deal done sooner, where maybe its not the "most" money he could have got, but its guaranteed money that is fair to both sides who both want it to happen. He is a physical player, he takes a lot of punishment out there as we saw again this week. He knows an injury in his final year of his already cheap current contract could cost him a lot of money, so taking a deal this offseason for a big raise will certainly be something him and his team will have interest in. Personally, for the reasons I said above, I think he gets his deal this offseason and it will probably be something like 3 years and $50-$55M with $30M guaranteed or something like that.
  5. Shhhhhh...I read on here Beane sucks, doesn't know how to build a team, and can't draft.
  6. Allen has missed way too many throws and opportunities today
  7. That bass missed XP is looming large
  8. Allen could have several big plays to Samuel including a walk in TD on the INT he threw today. Just a matter of time before Allen hopefully starts seeing him and connecting more
  9. Ha that is awesome and hope it sticks
  10. @FireChans you still not want to resign Shakir?
  11. Josh is leaving a lot on the field today. Multiple TD opportunities, first down opportunities, etc either from poor decisions, poor throws, or flat out not seeing open guys. We should be ahead comfortably right now
  12. Samuel was wide open for a walk in TD, Shakir was open on the other side too. That’s 100% on Allen
  13. Samuel was wide open for a walk in TD on that INT
  14. From the guy who doesn’t want to resign Shakir…lol
  15. Of all the bad challenges this might be the dumbest
  16. What exactly are we challenging? Nothing even looked questionable
  17. Can we just kick the XP from 50 out instead? Bass can’t hit these shorter ones lol
  18. Ok couldn’t have started this game any better! Let’s keep it going D
  19. Finally Samuel doing what we expected when we signed him
