Tony Gonzalez turned down trade to the Bills?
Alphadawg7 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup very true...sadly for me, I was not born and raised in B-lo, and never even been there. I chose this pain when I lived in 49er country with the hey day of Montana and then Young...hahaha And lol on Zay, which grab you referring to...the -2 yard one or the 20 yard one on his way to 2 rec (on 5 targets) and 18 total yards on a day Allen threw 37 times hehe -
Tony Gonzalez turned down trade to the Bills?
Alphadawg7 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah which is why I think its false and silly to assume AB orchestrated his way to NE from while he was still in Pitt. I fully believe he started down this path once him and Mayock butted heads though, but I think initially he was fine going to Oak and that its a stretch for anyone to say he planned this from before he was traded anywhere. -

Thought Shack looked good again

Going to be interesting to see what Bills do with Shaq this offseason if he has a good season. Trent still makes a good amount for one more season too, although they have outs on his contract if they desire. But Shaq could command a decent amount of money if he keeps playing like this. He wont get top dollar, but he's going to have a market IMO. -
Ha great story. Not that I want Jets to get better, but I think it would be pretty cool story if he got a tryout and was signed. Kind of like how Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi lied to get a tryout with Browns and made their training camp and had a Wade like debut returning a kick for a TD in his first NFL touch. https://www.google.com/amp/s/sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/a-browns-wide-receiver-had-to-lie-in-order-to-even-get-a-tryout-222836625.html

[Vague Title] Which one of these are right SMH
Alphadawg7 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone who WATCHED the full game will see a Bills team that looks to be on the rise that could make some real noise. They saw a team over come a few miscues but really dominated both sides of the ball all game. Anyone who only checked stat boxes and highlights and saw 4 turnovers thinks Allen still sucks and the Bills got lucky. Really that simple.- 23 replies

I didn’t really have an issue that it was G-Easy with the Raiders being a Monday night game. But it made no sense for him to be the Houston/Saints halftime show too. But I did have a big issue that it was a lip synced and poorly shot music video they recorded (who knows when) and were old songs from like a year ago made worse by doing them “clean”. “Halftime shows” should be live performances or don’t do them...period. And his one song called “No Limit” about “hooking up” is just awful clean. Anytime the chorus actually goes: “F*** with me and get some money” then it’s a poor choice for prime time TV as it’s already not appropriate song and gonna sound whack to anyone who actually likes the song too. Lose - Lose scenario every time. Terrible halftime show

All good Gunner, you know I respect you overall as a poster. But yeah, agree to disagree here as there is just no logical reasoning I can come too that will weigh slightly bobbling a couple of made catches so hard it drops his overall performance to “poor”. I just can’t in any way support this kind of a grading scale. I’m fine dinging him some, but to have his overall grade be this low over it is just not balanced analytics IMO.

Yes Oliver looked good and promising, totally agree. But PFF is also the same people who rated Singletary as "POOR" with 98 yards on 9 touches. So...yeah, they are wacky to say the least. But I do happen to still agree that Oliver looked promising...however, he should also not have been the highest graded Bill on Sunday.

WOW...are there really some posters trying to dismiss this and argue that it wasn't a dirty play? Thats like trying to argue the sky isn't blue. -

Week 1: The good, the bad, and the missing
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I hope you are right as Foster not being part of the game plan due to injury is a lot better than the alternative. And I know McD said that, but that was several weeks ago after the 3rd preseason game and nothing has been mentioned since that I have seen and I don't recall seeing him on any injury reports either. He could have been and I missed it, but just saying I didn't see it if he was. But I don't know why they would even bother suiting him up at all if it was still such an issue to only give him a handful of snaps. Why risk a set back or aggravating it further in the first place? -
Week 1: The good, the bad, and the missing
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ugh What? Lol, you actually helped make my point ? So in one line, McD does NOT make good 2nd half adjustments...in the VERY NEXT sentence you say he DOES make good adjustments but ONLY when his STARTING franchise QB Allen is playing...FYI: In 13 of the 17 games since we drafted him, Allen was the 2nd half QB. Well duh! LMAO. Its pretty hard to be better in the 2nd half when your QB was either Nathan Pickerman or a washed up DA fresh off the golf course LOL. Talk about making my point for me...thanks ? Clearly you have some sort of hate for McD, and thats your choice (puzzling to me as to why, but still your choice). But this reply was pretty hilarious and made no sense other than to just actually support my opinion/comment that McD often has the team playing even stronger in the 2nd half (but with your disclosure that only with his starting QB lol). -
I understand the tool. I understand they are not saying he is trash as a player. I am not in any way confused. But bobbling but STILL catching a pass is not so poor that it offsets the fact he did catch the passes and also produced 70 yards rushing on 4 touches. No one is arguing that bobbled, but caught, passes could lower his receiving grade a LITTLE. But to go all the way down to poor is absurd. To then furthermore lower his overall grade to poor after rushing for 70 yards on 4 carries as a result is about the most ridiculous grading system and just doesn't provide any real analytical value. Sorry Gunner, no disrespect intended from me on this, but IMO there is absolutely no logical defense that can justify Singletary receiving a poor grade overall. Honestly, there isn’t even a good defense for him to get a poor receiving grade when he still caught the 2 bobbled passes that we’re barely bobbled to begin with.

Week 1: The good, the bad, and the missing
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, I am not aware of this in regards if it’s still an issue. He was active and saw no mention of it still being an issue. So have you seen anything to confirm he is still being slowed by this? I’m hoping you are right, would make me feel better if that’s the reason he wasn’t really used this week as opposed to being in the doghouse. Although, if he is, then why even play him at all? Seems better approach would be to not dress him if it’s so bad he can’t really play so it can heal faster. -
Sorry bud, there is no digging deeper to justify Singletary getting a poor grade. Bobbling but still catching the ball shouldn’t take a game with 9 touches and 98 yards down to poor. 6 receiving plays where he caught 5 does not equate to poor, let alone so poor that it brings a guy who averaged 17.5 yards per carry all the way down to a poor overall grade. This is just not justifiable on any level.
-
This still makes no sense. Zay caught just 2 of 5 targets for 18 yards, including losing 2 yards on one reception. He got a good grade. Singletary catches 5 of his 6 targets for 28 yards to go with 70 yards on 4 carries and he gets a poor grade somehow over his receiving? Not to mention was critical to winning the game... This thread is worthless. Should just delete it.
-
Lmao: Zay and his 2 rec on 5 targets for 18 yards is good... But Singletary, whose 98 yards on 7 touches in the second half that was a key piece of winning the game is poor??? That alone is worth deleting this thread entirely. Not to mention all the other absurd ones too.

Are you saying you don’t like McD? Are you also saying McD hasn’t frequently had the Bills playing stronger in the second half? And where did I make a single excuse for McD? Lol, your reply really doesn’t make sense to me. -

I wonder the same myself. I also liked how they used McKenzie in preseason, hope to see them get him some involvement moving forward too.
