  1. Yup...Guarantee AJ Green puts up more than 18 and 14 yards and doesn’t drop that TD pass either. I mean I don’t know how a defense can consistently defend an offense of Smoke and healthy AJ outside without Cole in the slot catching passes from an accurate and big arm QB who can also run. We could be a nightmare matchup, not to mention capable TE’s and Singletary to worry about. So I think we go to another level too. AJ isn’t even close to being done as a WR IMO either. He’s an injury risk sure, but when healthy he’s still one of the best WRs in the game. I would take that chance personally, but also wouldn't over pay either with a strong WR class next year.
  2. I would pass on Ramsey for a few reasons personally even though he’s very talented. 1 - I’m not sure his personality fits our culture and locker room. 2 - I think Levi Wallace is pretty good, so Ramsey isn’t a big need. 3 - He’s going to want an insane contract next year, and I would rather have Levi on his contract opposite Tre than having to pay Ramsey what he will want.
  3. Well Cover1 who uses the All 22 to do their write-ups and recaps rated Zay a dud and said he dropped the TD pass. I watched it back and it looked like a ball he should have caught as well. And lets be honest, Zay doesn't exactly have the track record for the benefit of the doubt here either. I would personally still like to see the All 22 myself before I make any real declaration on it, but until then it looked like a drop and Cover1 seems to agree. https://www.cover1.net/buffalo-bills-studs-duds-new-york-giants/
  4. Except it wasn't a circus catch, and Cover1 using the All 22 confirmed he dropped the TD pass and graded him as a dud in week 2 who is only seeing the field to do the dirty work (aka blocking). So its us that are impressed you guys keep making the Zay Jones excuse train longer each week for his no production and dropped passes. https://www.cover1.net/buffalo-bills-studs-duds-new-york-giants/
  5. Easily without question would give up a 4th. I would be hesitant for a 3rd, but wouldn’t hate it either, and be reluctant if we they wanted a 2nd given next year should be a great WR draft. But AJ Green , Smoke, And Beasley would be one hell of a combo going into playoffs to have to defend.
  6. IMO...rookie year doesn't mean much to the long term play. A guy can start hot and fizzle as the league figures him out, or a guy can be more raw and really hit his stride in years 2 or 3 instead. If I was to treat the ranking like a weekly stock exchange, Baker falls to #3 IMO because the most recent body of work was that much worse than Lamar and Allen...and I am a Fan of Baker and have been since last years CFB season when people kept telling me he wont go any higher than the 2nd round at best. But Baker had a rough preseason, albeit thats not really a fair barometer, but still has to be noted considering his week 1 game was more of what we saw from him in his last preseason game. Meanwhile, Allen and Lamar have really shown some great progress compared to last year. I would rank them this way on a scale that can adjust and change weekly as the season goes on... Honestly, I don't think a lot separates the top 3 right now...they are very close IMO in how to be ranked, and one could argue in order of the 3. Here is how I would do it if this was a weekly stock exchange kind of accounting: 1 - Lamar: Lead your team to the playoffs as a rookie, be raved about all offseason, and then start the first 2 weeks off this way earns a guy the top spot. Doesn't matter if someone doesn't believe he can hold it long term, right now, he's been the best QB of the group thus far this year and helped get his team to the playoffs last year. 2 - Allen: A very close 2nd to Lamar, and I suspect as the season plays on that Lamar will come back a little from where he has been at against 2 terrible defenses and Allen will continue to get stronger from where he is at right now. 3 - Baker: Unfair to do this ranking before his 2nd game, but until we see him again, he cant be ranked higher than Lamar or Allen right now who have been impressive thus far. Baker has a good night tonight, he makes a case for the top 2 again. 4 - Darnold: Kind of gets this spot be default IMO, and we won't know what to make of him until he gets over Mono now. 5 - Rudolph: Going to get to see what he can do now, but he has showed some potential. 6 - Rosen: I think its pretty clear why he is below everyone else...he was always the wrong Josh.
  7. Yeah, I actually weirdly expect us to pick it up now when its 3rd and long.
  8. Again, this is the same for all primary RBs. They all run at end of games to chew clock, they all get short yardage situations...they still finish with better than 4 ypc. He is at 2.8 ypc on the year with his best day at 3.6 ypc. Are you going to go now and back out all short yardage and clock chewing carries from all other primary RBs? If you did there would be a heck of a lot of them who average 5 ypc or more then. I like Gore being here, not about that, but I’m still concerned about him being a big part of the offense. He looks slower than he did last year so far IMO. And Singletary has been a substantial spark to our offense both weeks. Im fine with Gore being out there and in a rotation, but I wouldn’t feel good about the idea of having to lean on him if Singletary is out a while. He could still get rolling more, just commenting on what we have seen from him thus far.
  9. Me too, Yeldon really looked like a weapon at times in preseason, so be nice to see him get more looks as a receiving back to see what he can do.
  10. I was referencing if Singletary had to miss an extended amount of time. I’m fine with the two splitting carries, just would be worried if we had to lean on Gore more if Singletary had to miss time with this hammy injury.
  11. I hear ya, but I just don’t think Gore has looked like a RB we can lean on for 20 carries a game. All I was saying is that Gore was used in the same capacity any other lead RB will be used thus far and is averaging 2.8 ypc. Even this week it was still 3.6 against a bad rush defense. He’s not being used as a short yardage specialist, those short carries represent a normal ratio of his carries like any RB would have. But hopefully he either gets going or Motor’s hammy isn’t too serious. Still like Gore, so hopefully he finds more of a groove this week against Cincy.
  12. You have Baker in the same tier as Watson and Rivers? Based on what? A solid year for a rookie? He looked bad week 1 and struggled in the preseason. He has done nothing to put him into the same class as Rivers and Watson. Baker is as unproven right now as Josh and Lamar, and both have had a better start to 2019 than Baker and with substantially less weapons around themselves. And I am a big Baker believer too...but reality is reality, he’s got just as much to prove and is off to a worse start than Lamar and Josh at proving it. Baker definitely had the better rookie year, but rookie years don’t matter, it’s how you grow and so far in the tiny sample size, Lamar and Josh have looked better. Watson has a case for tier 1, but don’t have an issue with him being tier 2 with Rivers. Baker belongs in tier 3 until he proves more on the field. But to answer your question, yes I think Allen has a case for the 6th spot right now and would rank them this way: 1. Brady - Mahomes will be the sexy pick, but until someone beats Brady or he starts to really fall off then I won’t move him down. 2. Mahomes - I mean really could be number 1 too, but I feel like Brady’s experience at the highest levels still gives him the meaningless top spot. 3. Watson 4. Rivers 5. Lamar - He helped Ravens make playoffs and he’s started this season out great. 6. Josh Allen - I am putting him ahead of Baker because I have liked what I have seen of Allen more this offseason and first 2 weeks. To be fair, Baker hasnt played this week yet and could make a case to be 6th tonight, but it’s splitting hairs right now for the 6th spot anyway. 7. Baker - See notes above.
  13. But that is true with all primary running backs. I said he was not used as a short yardage specialist like previously claimed. All RBs get goal line carries and 3rd and 1 carries and still average over 4 ypc...he’s averaging 2.8 ypc despite the vast majority of his carries not being short yardage situations. Gore has been used as a RB this season, not someone who only carries is short situations. His YPC has been low because he’s not been all that effective. Bottom line is I am glad he is here as a mentor and locker room leader, but as much as like Gore, the honest truth is he has not been very effective and it would be scary to have to lean on him based on what we have seen so far. Doesn’t mean he can’t get it going, but thus far he’s been bad week 1 and mediocre week 2. Meanwhile Singletary has been sensational in his limited touches the first 2 weeks...which is why for me the Singletary injury scares me as hammy injuries can be problematic and lingering. Hopefully it’s no big deal though.
  14. Except that’s not how he’s been used. He’s been used like any other RB, not just tough short situations. He had 19 carries on Sunday and yet we had very few down and short scenarios. I get get what you are saying, but that is just not accurate on how he’s been used or why his ypc is bad to start the year.
  15. Gore is a averaging 2.8 YPC and still was only at 3.6 this Sunday. Gore had a better week, but still wasn’t the kind of week where I would feel comfortable leaning on him as a lead back for any period of time. Singletary injury has me quite concerned.
  16. Oh I agree, don’t want to rush him back at all. Just hoping it’s nothing too serious where he is 100% sooner rather than later.
  17. Best regime we have had since the SB years! Love both McD and Beane and been on both their trains since the beginning!
  18. This was the worst part about today obviously, I really dont want to face NE at home without him. Kid has been a big spark every time we needed it. Praying its minor and he doesnt miss any time or at least not more than 1 game.
  19. Gloat about it? LMAO...95% of my posts are in response to other people trying troll my criticisms of him. So sorry man, if people are going to challenge me for 6 months on the criticisms, then I get to ask them the same tough questions back. And sorry dude, that was a big moment in the game he blew. It was a one score game, its inexcusable. Lucky for us, Giants gave us a free gimme on the FG. I agree with you, however I never once guaranteed it and opened that now infamous thread with "I could be wrong" and referenced it as a gut feeling.
  20. Lol...so it’s ok for people to try and pile on me after he has an 18 yard game, but it’s not ok to ask those same people what new excuse they have this time? I love it. People can dish all they want, but cry when it doesn’t work out, priceless. I never dodged any criticism I got for my criticisms of him, now y’all crying because Zay didn’t help your argument again.
  21. Great game today, although I did not like how Daboll called the game to end the half or most the 2nd half. Great team win, but the Singletary injury scares me. He’s been a real spark when we need it, and going to need him week 4 badly in that game. Hope it’s not serious! Love how both offense and defense rebounded after how the game started.
  22. Someone call the whambulance. I get trolled constantly over him. Not trolling him, just waiting for the excuses from posters that want to pile on me every week for being honest and critical of an underperforming player. So everything I have ever been critical about him keeps showing up on the field in preseason and the first 2 weeks of the season and my takes are “hot garbage”. Lol
