I would consider it for Diggs or Golladay, but also don't really think we would need to offer more than a 2nd for them. I would do it for sure if some top end player at DE or WR was obtainable. But, looking round the league, there isn't really anyone I can think of that is likely to be available that would be worthy of our first round pick. Wonder if the Bears would ever consider trading Khalil Mack. Their cap situation sucks, and their QB situation is worse. They aren't going anywhere the way that team is currently built. I seriously doubt they would trade Mack, but he is a guy I would at least make a call about if I was Beane. Then again, I thought there was no way Raiders would trade him either lol, so who knows.

Curious, where do people get that Diggs is a problem? Both him and Theilen (a guy people praise) voiced their dislike of the new offense last year, yet only one who gets flack for it is Diggs. They went from a pass first team to a run first team this season and not a shock that the 2 top end WR's weren't enamored with it. I feel like people assume Diggs is a cancer because Minn is considering moving him, but they are grossly overlooking the fact that Minn is in cap hell and has to do something. And with Cook, having two high cap WR's is more of a luxury than a need. I mean if there was ever a time for Minn to trade Diggs, this is the year. You get back a premium pick in first 2 rounds to use on a WR draft that is the best in years and may be the deepest ever to find a potential replacement without the price tag. Bills on the other hand, have plenty of cap room for a top end WR contract and would be better off brining in a sure thing for our young team and QB than roll the dice on a draft prospect that may take a couple seasons or longer to fully develop. Diggs being available is not an indication he is a problem. Its an indication their GM is a problem and didn't manage the cap well enough to afford two high end WR's on a team that now has a top end run game where the RB is also a dangerous WR. Not to mention, a really good vet TE and a very promising TE coming off his rookie season. Diggs is a luxury they just cant afford.

Josh Allen - Invincible video - 1st 2 years

honestly, video should have been at least twice as long, his list of amazing plays in 2 seasons is too long to condense to a 3 min and some change video -
Where Would CJ Spiller Go In 2020?
Alphadawg7 replied to Flip Johnson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People are making judgement based on his NFL career. Coming out of college he was the highest rated offensive player and most explosive player in the draft. Top end RB prospect have still gone early in drafts. Spiller would still be a first round pick and probably top 20 player still. So keeping it about his college career and how he was graded as a prospect he is still a first round pick, especially since his type of play As a dual threat RB whose explosive is even more coveted in today’s NFL. -
2020 mock drafts/ fanspeak/ draft network
Alphadawg7 replied to ScorpionZero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oliver falling to 9 was a lot more possible than Lamb falling all the way to 22 though. With QBs going in first 8 picks, guys always fall a few spots. But a top ten talent falling to 22 is possible but a lot less likely. -
Could Lions Be interested In Tua?
Alphadawg7 replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still personally don’t like that move. I said the Bears trade up for Trubisky was one of the stupidest in history the moment they made it. Maybe if there was an Andrew Luck level prospect sitting there, but not for a QB coming off a major injury who isn’t a slam dunk even if healthy. If you miss, you will set you team back years due to the loss of draft capital. If you hit, you still lose important assets to build a better team around him when you didn’t need to give those assets up. That being said, it’s also entirely possible that Detroit just wants people to think this to entice Miami to trade up with Washington so Chase Young falls to them at 3. -
Jags unlikely to allow Yannick Ngakoue to test FA

Shame on me. Came to see any Yannick updates and wound up in a Dareus contract thread. ?♂️ -
Greg Olsen visiting Bills, Redskins, Seahawks
Alphadawg7 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im with you on this. I liked the Knox pick and like his potential. But, the truth is, he made a number of critical mistakes that cost us dearly this year, INCLUDING a massive missed block that basically lost us the playoff game in OT. For every Gronk like catch, he would drop several critical ones that killed drives in close games, some of which we would lose and those drops were quite impactful to that outcome. I still think the kid has a chance to become a pretty good starting TE, but the facts remain that he still has to make a significant improvement in his reliability as a pass catcher and be more consistent as a blocker. This is why I think Olsen would be a great signing. He instantly becomes the ideal mentor for Knox, and more importantly, he becomes a sure weapon or blocker for Josh in important moments. NOW...if I had my choice...I would instead look to upgrade from Knox and trade for OJ Howard, Cameron Brate, or Njoku (although I do not think Njoku will be traded now that there is a new regime there). Like I said, I like Knox, but there is no denying any of those 3 guys are legit starters and would be an upgrade over anything on our roster right now. Knox is a guy with the potential to be a good starter, but these guys are already proven good starters with plenty of upside potential still. But since I don't expect any trades for a TE, I think signing Olsen is a solid move for us. If we miss on him, then go sign another quality vet to replace Kroft (or make one of those trades above). -
I was at the Chargers game where they played the Bills and NP threw those 5 INTs. When I got to the game, it almost felt like a Bills home game and Bills fans made up a big part of the attendance. If I had to guess, I would say at least 30 to 40%. And friends who go to the Chargers games against other teams pretty much say every game is like that. So while the Chargers have more people in the stadium as a sell out compared to the XFL this weekend (which still had good attendance, probably like 70 to 80% full), it wouldn't shock me if the XFL Wildcats actually had more FANS in attendance than a typical Chargers game would. Stadium had a lot of energy in it, was really quite fun to be at.

Green is an injury liability still. You hope to get a couple good to great years with him, but also need young talent to groom still behind him and he would be a great mentor for young talented WR. There is just no way you can sign AJ Green and feel “set” at WR given his recent injury history. If he’s healthy, he’s top 10 still, but can he stay healthy and how many more top end years does he have left even if healthy are real questions. So you take that young WR to groom behind him and Brown to both contribute now and eventually take over hopefully as a starter in the next couple seasons. -
Obviously, FA will affect all of this. Guys like AJ Green, Clowney, Yannick are really the main names to watch in this regard. But for this I will assume we signed none of those guys. Personally, I think Beane won't pass on AJ Epenesa at 22 if he's still there because without signing someone like Clowney or Yannick, then pass rushing DE is going to be a pretty gaping hole on this team, even if we keep Shaq. The draft is so deep at WR and the drop off at DE is steep once the top 3 guys are gone IMO. Now, I would personally prefer to take the best available WR at 22, who I also think will be Higgins. Josh Allen's development IMO is absolutely priority number 1, and we need to get him some offense fire power. Actually would be stoked about any of the top WR's still on the board at 22 and Higgins probably compliments the current WR group here best. But like I said, there is still going to be so much talent at WR in the 2nd, that I think nabbing one of the top DE's at 22 could very well be Beanes move then going WR in the 2nd and maybe even double dipping at WR in the draft again later.

I think the big fish is Chris Jones.
Alphadawg7 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don't see it...Not with the investment we just made in Oliver who had an impressive rookie campaign. People keep forgetting, we are also getting Harrison Phillips back, who is not only a very promising young DT, but he was literally our best DT at the time he got hurt last year. The staff is quite high on him too. So, sorry, Jones is a great player, but this just isn't something that seems probable. And honestly, I am quite skeptical Beane makes any "big fish" signings this Free Agency, he has said thus much as well. And he's been pretty spot on when he has said things like this in the past. I think they will target quality and value to build more depth and fill some holes rather than make a huge spend on any one player. Then work the draft as the main tool to add potential upper tier talent. Beane isn't looking to spend to the cap, he knows he needs cap space to keep our own team in tact each of the next few years. If he does go after any "Big Fish", then I think the only 3 players that make the most sense are AJ Green, Clowney, and Yannick. But I think both DE's stay where they are for 2020. I could see him interested in Green, especially as a guy to have around to help mentor what ever young WR prospect they draft too. But it would likely be only in a situation where the contract was reasonable and either short like 2 years or have some team friendly language that could allow us to get out of it if injuries continue to plague AJ. -
I was at the LA Wildcats game vs Renegades. So much fun, and lots of energy in the crowd. Pretty strong attendance too. I would totally go to more games and probably going again this Sunday. Highly recommend attending, pretty fun afternoon. Best part, I posted a pic on my instagram showing the XFL uniting the AFC East to root for one team for once hahaha. I was there with a large group of people, but 4 of us sitting together were a Pats fan, Jets Fan, Bills Fan, and Dolphins fan haha. All close friends. The huge radio station the Pats fan works at gave her a ton of tickets to hand out to friends, so we all went and had a blast. I would have loved it even if we paid for tickets, it’s certainly worth the price.

Sign AJ Green. Trade a 5th for David Johnson and a 3rd. Then draft Espensa followed by a WR such as Pittman in the 2nd. -
I’d be open to exploring this depending on the cost. My guess is that we won’t be in on it with Tre’s contract coming due soon. I doubt Beane is going to pay 2 corners top of the market money. That’s a hard thing to justify, especially with all the contracts we have to think about soon within on our own roster. Then you still have the trade compensation to consider. But...trade our 5th for DJ and a 3rd. Then having 2 thirds now, send one of those 3rd’s and Levi Wallace to Detroit. Work out a contract that’s front loaded and won’t hurt the cap too much when we need to pay our other guys. I could see Beane swinging something like this...albeit not very probable.

Trade for David Johnson?
Alphadawg7 replied to Bleeding Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, but we got a lot of cap space and his contract would fall off quick enough that it should impact our future contracts coming up. Yeah, I’m not into it UNLESS we get that 3rd rounder or better. But if we do, it’s a big yes from me. -

Ok, I was originally against this trade, but now that I’ve seen what it would be rumored to look like, I am all for it. Getting him AND a 3rd round this pick this year for something like a 5th? Um yeah, all day long. We easily have the cap room for this, that 3rd round pick could be quite valuable in this draft. Now I’m hoping this gets done. And would be interesting to see what he could do behind a much better OL here than he’s had in AZ. Essentially getting a 3rd round pick to take on salary. Yes please.
