On draft night, my QB board was in this order: Baker Allen Darnold Lamar Rosen (actually liked Mason better, but this is based on the consensus top 5 that were expected to go first). So I was not surprised at all when Baker had a strong rookie year. I also knew he wasn't a finished product yet and this season was no lock to be as great as some expected. However, I am surprised his play has fallen off this much. He's really not playing well right now despite having a lot of weapons around him. I wonder how much of it is the new coaching staff. Not trying to make excuses for him, he's really taken a step back out there IMO and he gets to own what he is doing poorly. But it makes you wonder how safe the new staff is given how disappointing the offense has been despite adding more talent like OBJ. There is a reason people say NFL stands for Not For Long. This team was expected to compete for a division title and SB this year...if they keep looking like this, wonder if the next coaching changes could be coming in Cle.

One game won't erase my overall concerns as he has also been bad at times this year too. However, love seeing him go out and have a big game. But until he strings together more consistency I am going to still be nervous every time he is back there.

How much of that is because of just dumping passes to a McCaffrey though? He hasn’t been asked to put the team on his back and win them a game yet, he’s just being asked to get the ball to McCaffrey and not take chances. So too early to make any real conclusions on him. He’s looked more like a backup QB playing as a game manager more to me than a future franchise QB. But to be fair to Allen, that’s also all he’s been asked to do. I mean McCaffrey is averaging 170 yards per game, which is insane.

I would be fine if we made the trade as suggested, but I’m not stressing on the RB position as Gore has been fine with Singletary out and Singletary was a huge spark before he got hurt.

Yeah after watching the play again, I think it was intended for Yeldon and he let up causing the INT. When it happened, I didn’t even realize Yeldonwas that close and running right towards where Josh threw it. I think this INT is less on Josh and more on Yeldon.

Simple - Turnovers, penalties, and dropped passes. Playing great defenses last 2 weeks didn’t help either.

Cole was actually wide open but Knox ran right to him bringing defenders with him.

He was also wide open a number of times, including more open than Smith when he caught a TD. No WR always gets separation, so I think he was quite good today. And Titans have a legit D too, so wasn’t shocking they didn’t give up a lot today to ya either. He also made several important blocks that resulted in our runners gaining more yards.
