  1. Duke is a way better blocker than Foster. That’s has more value on plays he’s not being targeted than having Foster run the same decoy route McKenzie can run too. And Duke was targeted more frequently than Foster and has double the production in just 3 games. And sorry...the separation thing is so over exaggerated. He got separation plenty of times, including on a game winning TD. He wouldn’t be on the 53 if he couldn’t get separation. Don’t know why people keep making this false claim. You don’t need 4.45 speed to get separation. In fact, 40 time speed has almost nothing to do with separation. But people here just say he can’t because they quote his 40 time. And most importantly, the value of a guy like Duke is that he can be open and a target in tight coverage or highly contested situations, especially in the Redzone and near the goal line where many throws are high point throws, fades, and back shoulders too. Foster brings no value there, you know the area of the field you score points. Duke can be a target there and also block for runs, screens or QB runs too.
  2. We don’t need three WRs to bring the safety over. Brown and McKenzie are fast too. Foster brings more value? 3 catches on the season is value? How many receptions do our TE’s have because of Foster? Come on, they are barely registering in the stat sheet themselves, and the production they do have wasn’t the result of Foster being on the field. This was just a puzzling answer to me. I was a big supporter of Foster, but let’s face it, he has been less valuable than Lee Smith this season so far who has one more catch than him and at least comes in on blocking assignments on down and short plays.
  3. More important than the game winning TD catch? Find that hard to believe, especially since I dont see Foster doing much on ST that isnt replaceable by someone else.
  4. Someone explain to me why they don't want Duke active over one of these 3. I dont want to hear anything about the coaches. I want to know why you as individual would rather mock Duke and keep all 3 of these guys active over him. Duke: (In ONLY 3 games active) 6 rec on 7 targets and a TD. Season totals for the following players: Foster: 3 rec, 0 TD Roberts: 3 rec, 0 TD Smith: 4 rec, 0 TD More facts: Duke is bigger, more physical, has better hands, and is a better blocker. People say he cant get open, yet he has more catches and a game winning TD in substantially less opportunities than the guys above. So that cant be the answer. So just looking at the above, how is there not 100% support to make Duke active over any one of those 3 players above? Not like anyone is claiming that Duke will lead the team in receiving. But those of us who would like to see Duke active are saying we are getting nothing out of those 3 guys while we did get something out of Duke in much fewer opportunities. Why not activate him and see if we can get more again out of him than we are getting out of those guys doing nothing. Our top 3 WR's average 5'10" and barely over 180 pounds. How can anyone not want to sit one of our NON productive guys for a guy who is hungry, the team rallies behind (see team reaction on TD), who is actually a big target for Josh, and will be able to help our run game more with his ability to block? Makes no sense what so ever IMO.
  5. Yet he's out produced Foster, Roberts, and Smith in just 3 appearances. So theres that. Trivia time: Who amongst these names ran a perfect route and caught a game winning TD and help us get to 10 wins? A. Foster B. Smith C. Duke D. Roberts Trivia time #2: Who has more catches? A. Foster B. Duke C. Roberts D. Smith Duke, in just 3 active games has the same amount of catches on the season as Foster and Roberts have COMBINED. He also has a game winning TD. Sorry, all your comments and your conquest against Duke have no merit. You can literally yell 7 attempts in 118 snaps, yet that is still out performing Foster and Roberts COMBINED on the season. Not to mention a game winning TD to help us actually WIN a game. Something Foster, Smith, and Roberts have yet to do. Smith has actually worked hard to lose us games with his penalties. PS: Duke is a better blocker than Foster and Roberts too. This TSW conquest against him in favor of 2 WRs NOT producing is utterly comical to me. I would bet big money the reason Duke isnt active is because Daboll is stubborn. He prefers to force his system, which favors small gadget players, rather than alter it to utilize personnel and size. Its also why we aren't seeing more 2 TE sets with Knox and Kroft.
  6. If you have watched this more than 5 times like me, hit the trophy button below. This was just so good and damn it better be played in the locker room. I even sent this to my friends who are Dolphin fans and are pulling for us to stomp them this week so they have a chance to play spoiler next week.
  7. Literally text this to some friends and said the same thing about running through a wall. This has me so amped up.
  8. I understand why you might think this, but it’s just not fundamentally accurate in any way. Maybe a bad WR who plays pickup ball in the park or an amateur WR at the lowest levels you could slightly make this case for because they don’t know how to track a ball. But WRs at the pro level don’t catch passes on an expectation of placement, and no QB in history has ever put a ball in the perfect spot even on half of their throws let alone 100 in a row. Sorry, your case here just has no merit. The drop balls stat is strictly drops on well placed balls. I watched Cooper drop 5 passes right in his hands in one game including back to back would be TDs and he only got credited with 2 because the other 3 weren’t perfectly placed even though the ball hit him square in both hands and should have for sure been caught. This is the NFL, its the QBs job to put the ball where only his guy can get it, and that very often means somewhere other than right in the numbers...including low, high, outside, and back shoulder. In fact, with an even more accurate QB, say Rodgers, the ball will often be placed in those places which is why he throws so few INTs. So this notion you proposed here just isn’t accurate as receivers are tracking the ball through its flight path and off target passes that are dropped are not credited as drops.
  9. 4th and 1 play stands out. However, Anthony Barr hurdle and dismantling the heavily favored Vikings in his first road start is my pick. This was Allen’s coming out game and really showed what a freak athlete he is. This is the play and game where Josh Allen arrived in the NFL and turned heads for the first time. http://www.nfl.com/videos/the-checkdown-live/0ap3000001014706/The-Checkdown-Live-1-20-19
  10. We are second in number of passes actually dropped, at least according to the stat they put up during the game. Said we had 20 and most was 21.
  11. Yeah of course, and Bills success is by no means all because of Josh. But most of what I said is about Josh's individual performance. And this is football, no one wins because of just one player (even though fans and media like assign credit or blame to individuals a lot). But I do believe Allen still has had a big hand in a lot of our wins, its not just the stout defense. End of the day, the defense has to do their job...and the offense has to do their part to put up more points than the other team. And Allen and the offense, which has less talent overall on it than our D, have done their part too most weeks.
  12. Well the Houston game last year was outside the range of games I listed in terms of his record as I went back to when he returned from injury that he sustained in that Houston game. The reason, is that was when Josh really started to ascend and seemed to be a different and better QB than prior to the injury where he mostly was a very raw product. I actually fully believe we win the first NE game this year if Allen doesnt get knocked out the game. Lets not forget, Barkley went on to throw a pick in the end zone on that drive. We had momentum and Josh was starting to come on like he does before he got hurt.
  13. Good point...he got knocked out the NE game where we had some momentum and he was driving. I will edit.
  14. I posted this in the thread about the dumb comments from ESPN. But thought it should be its own thread as I am not sure how many people actually realize these things. ONLY 5 QBs in the NFL have more TDs than Josh Allen this year: Lamar - 40 Watson - 33 Wilson - 31 Winston - 31 Dak - 29 Allen - 27 And two of those guys above are the front runners for MVP and every single one of those 5 have a substantially better group of weapons around the QB. Furthermore, since week 5 (after the week 4 NE game), ONLY Lamar has more combined TD's than Josh...where Josh has 21 TDS to only 4 turnovers. Bonus facts: Josh holds the longest streak in the NFL this year of multi TD games. He has the most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since entering the league despite missing parts or all of 6 games. He is also the highest rated passer in the NFL on 3rd and long He is one of the highest rated passers in the 4th quarter He is a big reason why Buffalo is one of the top red zone offenses in the NFL His top 3 WRs average 5'10" and 185 pounds He is 13-6 since coming back from injury last year in games he started and finished (knocked out of first NE game this year) Bonus fact: We lost 3 of those games literally because of ST (Jets last year, Pats and Cle this year) and one due to multiple dropped passes (Zay and Clay in first Mia game last year during final drive). Final fun fact: Bills are second in the NFL in dropped passes. He is no where near a final product yet and has a lot to keep working on, especially the deep accuracy. But I think he is definitely being under appreciated by a lot of people still around here for what he has done so far, and obviously by a lot of media outlets. Best part is that we have $90M in cap room and extra draft assets going into an offseason where Josh would have already shown a lot of growth, and gained valuable playoff experience. For anyone to be negative or down on him right now is crazy to me. None of us know what the finished product will look like with Josh, but there is substantially more to be optimistic about than pessimistic.
  15. Someone should call ESPN and drop this nugget of information on them: ONLY 5 QBs in the NFL have more TDs than Josh Allen this year: Lamar - 40 Watson - 33 Wilson - 31 Winston - 31 Dak - 29 Allen - 27 Furthermore, ONLY Lamar has more than Josh does since the week 4 NE game where Josh has 21 TDS to only 4 turnovers. And two of those guys above are the front runners for MVP and every single one of those 5 have a substantially better group of weapons around the QB. Bonus facts: Josh holds the longest streak in the NFL this year of multi TD games. He has the most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since entering the league despite missing parts or all of 6 games. He is also the highest rated passer in the NFL on 3rd and long, one of the highest rated passers in the 4th quarter, and leads one of the top red zone offenses in the NFL. Final fun fact: Bills are second in the NFL in dropped passes. This is why bad shows like this should not be taken seriously.
  16. I just said this yesterday to a friend too. I want to see them again and I know we can beat this team. Bills started figuring it out in the second half and I think we are the team that has the best chance to upset them in the playoffs.
  17. Well that 10-4 staff thought enough of him to send Zay packing and bring him up after people like you said he would never be active. And that decision literally won us a game or we may not be 10-4 right now and in position to still have a shot at the divisional title. At the end of the day, him being inactive I think lies squarely on 2 factors...Dabolls system and his preference for gimmicky plays that use speed and also the ST factor. But at the end of the day, there is no denying having a larger reliable target with good hands would have been of value in several key situations the last couple of weeks. In the Ravens game alone, the critical drops by Knox killed two dries where we were moving the ball. And on the final play, a big target who can high point a ball and catch it would have had value too. Again, no one says Duke is going to a pro bowl, but the reality in very limited appearances he has already done more than several guys active every week and his skill set would have some value in some tough spots against physical defenses.
  18. ST has been losing us games. Give me the guy who helped us win like Duke did already this year. Foster and Roberts have not helped this team. Both their roles are replaceable, and yet you only have to replace one to make Duke active...or neither and deactivate someone like Lee Smith and all his penalties.
  19. Depsite only being active 3 games, he has out produced Foster and got great separation on a game winning TD. So he’s helped us win a game despite only being active for 3. Foster and Roberts have not. So it’s pretty silly to knock the idea of having him active over guys doing LESS than what he’s done in very limited opportunities. Duke doesn’t need to get 8 rec for 120 yards to have value. It’s indisputable he’s big and has great hands. Our top 3 WRS average 5’10” and 180 pounds. It’s unquestionable adding a big target with sure hands would have value in key 3rd down situations, goal line scenarios, red zone opportunities, etc over guys who are not producing each week like Foster or Roberts. Not to mention Duke is a way better blocker than those other 2 are too. Issue to me seems to be Daboll likes gadget plays and the other guys fit that mold more and I think it’s his stubborn commitment to that style that keeps Duke inactive on game days lately in favor of speedy guys.
  20. BOOK IT: We will TRADE UP in the first round to land a coveted WR for Beane. Beane is aggressive when it comes to landing what he covets, and there is no way he wont be targeting one of these potential studs that will go before our pick most likely. This is assuming they are all still expected to go that high...clearly offseason workouts, combines, interviews, and even injuries could easily shift draft expectations for some prospects. But TODAY...all the top ones are expected to go before where we will likely pick. The only real variable in my mind for this would be if Beane felt he landed his "guy" in FA...like say AJ Green for example. If we sign AJ, something I think is a real possibility, then I think its less likely of a trade up unless it was for some other coveted player at another position. Not saying he wont still draft another WR, even early, just saying I think its less likely he trades up in the first to do so. I just dont see any way we enter the offseason without WR (and one with at least some size compared to our top 3 guys averaging 5'10") as Beanes number one priority.
  21. Good point...they are 2nd (by I think one drop below the top spot) and will add that now as an edit.
  22. Tell that to the people still whining and hating on Allen today because he didnt have a great statistical day Sunday lol
  23. Lol. Get him bandit I dont give a damn about stats...I care about wins. Here is what I know about Allen. He leads NFL in 4th quarter comeback wins since 2018, and thats with missing 6 games (missing 4 games outright, and getting knocked out of 2 more games where he was driving us to put us ahead late in games (HOU last year and NE this year). He is one of the highest rated QB's in the 4th quarter overall. Bills are also 3rd in the NFL in Redzone efficiency, including 10th in the NFL in Redzone TD scoring %, and Allen is a big big part of that with his ability to punch it in himself. He is also the best QB in the NFL on 3rd and long conversions. This kid is a gamer. Fact. Now lets look at other factors around him... His top 3 WR's average 5'10" and 180 pounds, including two being 5'9" We are 2nd in the NFL in dropped passes, just one behind the top spot too His OC has been inconsistent all year, and down right terrible at times while also finding moments of greatness He has 9 new starters on the offense around him with only Dion being lone hold over starter He still just has basically a season and a half of starts under his belt from missing some games. He has a FA TE that missed most the season he has little time playing with and a raw rookie TE who seems to make the hard catch but drops too many critical easy ones We have a Kicker and ST unit that has literally lost us 2 of our games this year (CLE and NE) and did its best to try and lose us a couple others Bonus fact: Allen has the most TD's behind only Lamar since the NE game, with 21 TDs and 4 turnovers in that span...despite the challenges above So for me, its utterly absurd for anyone to be freaking out about Josh right now from a negative stand point. He has clearly taken some big steps this year, has proven to be at his best with the game on the line over and over again, and doesn't let struggles affect him. Having a full season with playoff experience (and possibly even playoff success) under his belt entering an offseason where Beane has $90M in cap room and some extra draft capital to address the need for more playmakers for Allen is OVER THE TOP EXCITING for our future regardless to how the rest of the season plays out. Allen is not even close to being done growing and improving yet, and neither is this team. GO BILLS!!!
  24. People forget that Balt and Pitt have excellent defenses, Pats too and lots of very good QBs had subpar or bad games against those defenses this year. Its easy to say I want to see him do it against "good" teams because of that, but its also unfair to expect him to have good games against top 5 defenses, especially with the mediocre cabinet of weapons we have. I mean our top 3 WR's average out to 5'10" and 180 pounds right now. Add in, this team is young, we have 9 new players on offense, and our QB has just a season and half worth of starts in the NFL, and its not a shock we aren't having an offensive explosion against elite defenses. Especially when better offenses have struggled against them too. The key for me...is that through the struggles, our team keeps pressing forward and ups their play in the 4th quarter to keep battling. We should have won the NE game, and probably do if not for Josh getting hurt (even though we really lost that game squarely on ST) and we took the best team in the NFL down to the final play despite the fact our OL was a revolving door against the Ravens. What I have seen from this team...is an offense that is good enough to win against anyone in the NFL right now...and thats because our defense will help keep the games close and our offense and Allen especially are strong down the stretch in crunch time. End of the day...this season isnt about THIS season. This season was and is all about taking a big step forward, which we clearly have and are. If we go one and done in the playoffs, doesnt matter (although for the record I believe we will win in the playoffs and at least make the AFCC game). This season is already a big success, one offseason was not going to "finish" our build. This team is setup for long term sustainable success from a youth standpoint, cap standpoint, coaching and GM standpoint, and IMO QB standpoint. Now on the back of this season (wherever we finish), Beane can focus on rounding out the weaker spots on this roster, and clearly that is going include offensive weapons at the top of the list to help us take another offensive growth step next year.
