  1. Yup, was just coming here to say this. Without a doubt, having no preseason and limited contact has HEAVILY contributed to the injuries this year. There is a need and reason for preseason and full camps. This is a violent sport, and proper time preparing the body for the contact is absolutely necessary for the body to be able to stand up to the rigors of a long season. If there was ever a case for why a Preseason was so important, despite fans for whatever reason always whining about it, this is it. Always found it utterly stupid and absurd for fans of all people to complain about preseason. If you don't enjoy watching it, who really cares, dont turn it on, its that simple. Less preseason doesn't make the NFL regular season get here any faster, starts on the same date regardless. But the players and coaches need it to both evaluate and prepare the roster for a rigorous season. And the only reason its been talked about being shortened is for money, the league wants more regular season games that make more money. But the players don't want the added exposure to their bodies, so they have been focused on shortening the preseason in order to do that.
  2. You know there will be some that will still complain about some pass he didn't complete still I expect both Brown, and Cole to be used a lot next week as Diggs is likely going to draw Jalen Ramsey most the day. That being said, Allen is a huge competitor and will into be afraid of Ramsey and Diggs is probably the best route runner in the league, so do think Diggs still gets his. Rams secondary is not that strong behind Ramsey IMO. I think Gabe Davis may be used more and could be a sneaky strong game for him, especially after the confidence the team is going to have in him after that insane catch. My prediction is Gabe gets 4-5 receptions and another TD against the Rams.
  3. Only 3 other QB's in NFL history have had the start that Allen has had through 2 weeks...none of them are this year but Allen, although Wilson is quite close, so might as well lump him in and say 4 other QB's. PFF still grades him low. Its embarrassingly inaccurate system. And at some point they have to start considering credibility you would think and either stop click baiting or re-evaluate their system if they are grading out Allen as the 12th best QB this week and behind Darnolds atrocious performance for example. There is ONLY one player who has a case for a higher grade than Allen this week, and that is Wilson, and that is a negligible argument as they were both phenomenal performances. Thats it.
  4. Its most likely gonna be Wilson, he did it on Primetime against the GOAT defensive mind in history and the reigning DPOY. I still voted for Allen, but how many people outside Bills and Dolphins fans really watched that game Sunday compared to those watching the Sunday night game? Just think Wilson will get more love as more voters witnessed his performance first hand. And honestly, Wilson prob deserves it anyway given the quality of opponent, and he did have one more TD. But its close, and just awesome that Allen is in this convo right now and probably a 1a and 1b situation on MVP for the season after 2 weeks with Wilson. Allens true first test will be this Sunday and can not wait to see how this team and Allen respond to it.
  5. Its gonna be Wilson for sure. He did it on Primetime with everyone watching. Outside of Bills and Dolphin fans, how many people were actually watching him play Sunday. But its still great he's getting attention. And honestly, Wilson probably deserves it more given the quality of opponent was so much higher than the Dolphins. Not to take anything away from Allen, and I still voted for Allen, but Wilson had a phenomenal day himself against the GOAT defensive mind in history and one the best DB's in the game.
  6. Yeah, one thing to remember, while Rams have the best defensive player in football, and one of the best DB's in football...the rest of the D is not exactly scary. I live in LA, Rams are my second team, and they have several areas that can be exploited. Honestly, Bills offense is a matchup nightmare for the Rams. Allens ability to move and escape the pocket already neutralizes the Rams best defensive player. Not saying Donald wont still be a force or a disruptor, but Allen's escapability helps reduce his impact. Yes, Jalen Ramsey is likely going to be on Diggs, but end of the day, Diggs may be the best route runner in football and will still get his on Jalen. But with Jalen likely shadowing Diggs, guys like Brown and Cole are going to have a lot of opportunities because the other DB's for the Rams are going to struggle hanging with those 2 as they are also great route running WRs both twitchy and fast too. Rams run defense isn't great either, so I think Allen, Moss, and Singletary will have strong outings too. For me, its going to come down to whether or not we can slow the Rams passing attack down. And that will be a 2 fold question...will we get to Goff enough and will we have at least one, if not both, of Milano and Edmunds back. Rams have talent at TE and a very smart offensive coach who is going to watch the Miami game and see gold at attacking the middle of the field and using the talented TE's they have to move the chains. Plus, they have Henderson involved in the offense now, and he's an explosive fast 2nd year RB who can be a real weapon out of the back field too in the passing game. We are going to really need to get Edmunds and Milano back out there if possible.
  7. Ah thanks, wasn’t sure if he was on IR or not
  8. Well we had the 2019 version of the defense week 1, we dominated all facets of that game. Week 2, we were missing 2 of our best players, both at LB, both who excel in coverage and shutting down middle of field. Miami has a very good coaching staff now, I literally think the Dolphins have their own version of McD and Beane now and are about at the same spot we were during Allens rookie year. Great staff, pieces being added each year, on their way up. So that staff literally focused on exploiting the weakness of the D Sunday, and it worked as Gesicki had a career day because of it. This put a ton more pressure on the DB's too, and allowed them to exploit and abuse Levi as well who struggled all day. So, we still have that stingy 2019 version of the defense, we have just never before been forced to play without our 2 stud LB's in the same game before, not to mention, Norman is going to be a clear upgrade over Levi. Speaking of Levi, I don't know what happened to him. There was a stretch last year where he was our highest rated DB and playing great as teams tried to attack him and avoid Tre. But as the season wore on, he got more inconsistent. He is a guy that cn go out on a Sunday and have a great game, make great plays, etc...or he can go out and be a complete liability. I don't understand what it is that makes him like that. I know Milano and Edmunds being out didn't help at all, but still, he struggled a lot yesterday again. Hopefully he shakes it off and has a bounce back game. Anyone know the status of Norman and if he has a shot to play Sunday?
  9. I get that, but McD doesn’t want 21. He’s literally said they want to average much higher points, same with Beane. That’s my point. He has no interest in scoring just 21 points, they want to average in the high twenties, always have.
  10. Well they aren’t talking about the defense here, the conservative claims were him from an offensive approach, not defensive. Of course he’s gonna be pissed we have up those points to Miami. But he isn’t at all going to walk off field thinking we need to slow the offense down. This is what he’s literally said he wanted out of the offense...more points, more big plays, more passing yards. Him and Beane both said that multiple times.
  11. Agreed, just saying Allen also made excellent play in pocket to extend play and put the ball in the only place Davis had a shot. Just amazing play from both players. I am loving Davis potential
  12. Yeah, everyone was enamored with Davis catch and over looked that was the only place that ball could be placed and it was excellent movement in the pocket that kept that play alive. Both Allen and Davis made a huge play on that
  13. I am right there with you, been screaming this until blue in the face. People cant get off that first season we had a pop Warner assortment of players on offense
  14. It’s by far been Murphy. And while it’s quieted this one week, all it will take is one game where he doesn’t do anything or misses a tackle for it to all come back. All his critics who are silent are just waiting for the next chance to say “See he sucks”. A case can be made for Ford, but have seen a lot less heat on him then people had for Murphy. I mean this board was obsessed with cutting Murphy, and even more silly was for “cap” reasons when it wouldn’t have done anything for our cap as we are not over the cap and it’s last year of his deal. It was utter nonsense to campaign for him to be cut. Now trading him had merit with our deep log jam at DE and Beanes ability to get great trade value I our favor, but the calls to cut him were pretty silly.
  15. Every great QB in history has had turnovers lose them games, including anyone you would put in the top 10 all time, and some of them did it in playoffs and Super Bowl too. Sorry, this logic seems like you’re waiting for one play to say “See I told you so” when in reality it’s 100% guaranteed to happen to every QB in the league, including Josh.
  16. Well if you want to go there, you should also add those earlier games he was working his way back from a serious injury recovery as well to be fair. I will take the more recent body of work more removed from that injury over those games he was still working his way into shape and trying to carve out a role for himself.
  17. Is this where I get to say a collective "I told you so" to all those who were just focused on cutting him? I was never the guy claiming Murphy was a world beater, but I did keep telling people he's better than he's getting credit for here and was never in danger of being cut. I did think with the log jam at DE his future he was questionable as he did seem like a guy Beane thrives on flipping for good draft capital. But once Star opted out and Jefferson was moving more towards DT, it was no longer definitive we needed to move one of our DE's. And its also why I kept telling people the AJE no dress week 1 was a non story in terms of AJE career projection. Murphy and Hughes were no brainer starters given they are the only 2 DE's who knew the system here. And as GunnerBill and some others also pointed out, Murphy was getting a lot of buzz about having a very strong camp. Which meant AJE was going to need to leap frog Addison (that was never gonna happen before week 1 who is a better all around DE than Murphy too) or Darryl, which was also never going to happen given Darryl's immense ST value. Cant wait to watch this team unleash hell on both sides of the ball again this week and squish the fish.
  18. If I could emphasize this post here 1000 times I would. Its not just about the stat sheet, its all about where Diggs is at as a player vs a rookie. Diggs is a beast, making tough grabs, taking big hits, and easily a top 3 route runner in the NFL. There is nothing any rookie can do this year that will make me wish we had not traded for Diggs.
  19. I think it’s going to be this Sunday. Allen always feasts on the Fins. I bet it’s another 300 yard game and 4 to 5 total TDs
  20. Ah, was not that familiar with their cap situation. Was just commenting on team needs and stuff. Thanks
  21. Wrong. We didn’t have 4 rushing TDs. We had 22 rushing TDs, you just chose to remove Allen’s 18 rushing TDs because it doesn’t fit your narrative. It was already pointed out to you that Devin in limited snaps last year was among the league leaders in runs over 20 yards. You also see the league leader only had 5 more runs than Devin over 20 yards and that it’s NOT a very common play and doesn’t even happen on average of even once a game by the league leader. You keep ignoring Allen’s rushing TDs to say the RBs dont score enough...how are they supposed to score the TD if Allen already ran it in? All that matters is that the 6 points get on the board, doesn’t matter if the jersey number is from a RB, QB, TE, or WR. The fact is the issue is not our RBs, it’s been Allen vulturing the TDs from the RBs because teams have had no answer to stop Allen when he’s running for the score.
  22. This again 🤦🏼‍♂️ This obsession for the one or two times an entire season a RB scores a 60+ yard TD is silly. Last year, Devin tied Henry for the league lead for yards per carry. Who cares about 1 to 3 plays a year that are long TD runs. Those don’t win you games...first downs where you keep the ball and keep moving towards the end zone win games. And once you there scoring TDs medium and short distances win games. And the reason the TD total looks low for the RBs is because we have a tank of a QB who vultured 18 rushing TDs the last two years. Our RBs are going to be just fine.
  23. Personally, I think the Eagles make a lot of sense here. They have the cap room and an established QB which they badly need to get him more help at WR. Speaking of Philly, I would flip Ertz if I were them for some OL help too. Goedert is damn good and their OL is gonna just get Wentz hurt yet again. If I am the Browns, I am looking to trade both OBJ and Nick Chubb and hopefully get back two more 2nd round picks out of the trades. OBJ is not working there, and they still have guys who can play at WR. Chubb is a great talent, but they have a cheaper option in Hunt who is just as good, if not all around better. I mean literally they are both stud every down RB's, so trade Chubb and keep the cheaper Hunt. Plus given Hunts past, Chubb will have more trade value. I could see teams like Jags, Redskins, and Dolphins being very interested in Chubb. Then when the draft rolls around, if Baker has not had a light bulb come on by end of the year, they have extra assets to go make a move for a top QB, maybe even Trevor, depending on their final record. If Baker does turn a corner over the season, they have extra assets to keep building around the team and more cap flexibility too moving forward getting OBJ eventually off the books.
  24. I respectfully disagree. Not about the QB talent, it was obviously not a great QB situation. I am talking about Woods feet. I complained about it regularly, he would hit the ground so many times when it was unnecessary. He would trip and fall on his routes, etc. It was uncanny how often he lost his feet when it was not because he had to.
