  1. I am glad Star should be back, but his year off at his age concerns me to wear I’m not sold he can be the solution, although I hope he is. If we don’t get size in there, I expect more of the same issues on defense is the problem. So my top priority is the interior line where we got dominated a lot. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against upgrading the pass rush, I’m just way more concerned about getting shoved around in the middle.
  2. WE NEED DL BEEF MORE THAN A PASS RUSH. Bills were 6th in the NFL on QB Pressures last season. Out interior DL was pushed around and we frequently lost in the trenches. Not saying we can’t upgrade the pass rush, but we don’t have a ton of money to spend, and we MUST shore up the interior line with some size or we won’t see much change in our defense next year. It makes everyone’s jobs easier when you have space eaters taking on multiple blockers.
  3. And then blew the game against a mediocre Texans team. I didn’t say they are an exact mirror, just similar positions.
  4. I didn’t say he’s not a good offensive mind, but he’s twice choked on the biggest stage is my point. So he’s far from proven as a HC at this point. Plenty of coaches have reached Super Bowls that weren’t really that good of a coach overall long term and have gone on to even eventually be fired. So saying he’s made the SB, while also playing a significant role in blowing it twice (both as an OC and HC) doesn’t cement him as a great HC in my book is all I am saying. He may never make another one again, and I am pretty certain he won’t be making it back there in 2021.
  5. Bills lost 4 of their last 5 games in 2019 including the playoff game.
  6. Well once as a HC, the other as an OC and it was squarely on him for why he lost as an OC with some of the worst decisions in history allowing Pats the chance to rally back from a massive double digit deficit.
  7. Sounds just like the Bills in 2019 before they went 13-3 after their young QB took a big step on year 3. Except AZ easily has the better defense on paper heading into their QBs third year.
  8. But is it? Same hot take many had and most Niner fans I know hate Kyle. Flacons fans still despise him too. I mean there are countless articles about it, it’s not just my hot take. Here are hair a couple I quickly grabbed, but there are tons of these. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nfl/2020/2/2/21119688/super-bowl-2020-san-francisco-49ers-mistakes-kyle-shanahan https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.onlinegambling.com/news/kyle-shanahan-chokes-again-breaking-down-super-bowl-meltdown-2/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/thefalconswire.usatoday.com/2020/02/03/atlanta-falcons-san-francisco-49ers-kyle-shanahan-twitter-roasted-super-bowl-54/amp/ Even when he got the job, questions were there because of the stupidity of his Atlanta play calling with a massive 2nd half lead against the Pats. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2691483-super-bowl-debacle-should-give-49ers-second-thoughts-about-kyle-shanahan.amp.html PS: And you know I also respect you as a poster, so not being a jerk here, just showing you it’s not just my hot take as you put it
  9. He called a very conservative offense fist half and left points off the board. He was heavily scrutinized for how he managed the game, especially the first half, and then for the second time he blew a double digit 4th quarter lead in the Super Bowl.
  10. You mean the same Kyle Shannahan that literally blew 2 SB wins with his terrible coaching decisions? That Kyle? Klingsbury has a lot to prove still, but Kyle isn’t any more proven and choked on the biggest stage twice.
  11. A far better coach? You mean the coach that blew not one, but TWO Super Bowls with terrible coaching decisions? I’m gonna have to disagree with that assessment on that alone. Not saying Klingsbury is great, but can’t say a guy who blew it in two Super Bowls as an OC then HC is far superior. Most Niners fans I know hate him.
  12. All they need is a wildcard birth. Path to SB is much easier in the NFC than AFC. And the NFC west isn’t that tough as some are saying. Niners are a mediocre team with the worst QB in the division and their best players coming off bad injuries and some that will not be back next year like Sherman. Seattle was a mediocre team last year thanks to a pretty bad defense and bad OL, one so bad Wilson is unhappy and apparently wants out. Even if he stays, it’s clear him and Carrol are not on the same page right now. They dont have the assets or cap room to make significant improvements to what is a mediocre roster. Rams started over at QB and we dont know how that will play out either. Rams defense was not as good as its ranking either and has the makings of a unit that could fall out of the top 10 next year. They have two elite players on that D, but rest of unit lacks consistency. No one in that division scares me. Rams on paper have the most potential, but I would say the Cardinals right now are hands down the 2nd best roster heading into next year with the potential to win the division if (like with any young QB) Murray continues to take a step forward. Cardinals heading into next year remind me of where the Bills were heading into 2020.
  13. And how exactly are the Niners better? They have a worse QB, most of their best players coming off serious injuries, losing some key members of the defense this offseason, and the Cardinals have a better overall offense. And after this offseason, a case can be made the Cardinals have the better defense. AZ defense is easily the second best in the division right now with the potential to be the best defense in that division. AZ has a very good offense that is improving each year and can easily finish first or second offensively this year. Sorry, but people are wrong about the Cardinals prospects next year and if Watt stays healthy, that defense is going to be very good.
  14. My point is the Cardinals are an ascending team, people here acting like he signed with the Jets. Just about everyone believes Cardinals are up and coming and close to being a very good team. So for others to say he only cared about money is pretty short sighted evaluation of the Cardinals and sounds more like people mad their target date for the prom went with someone else
  15. Are they though? Season is over, can’t base it on just last year. They are already better than Niners. Rams have a big question mark going to a new QB and how fast he picks up the new offense. Will he better enough to catapult them to real contender is still a question, not to mention Staffords injury history and the bad Rams OL. Seattle has a brewing QB issue and potential rift between QB and HC. I still think Wilson stays, but that Seahawk team wasn’t very good down the stretch and fielded a pretty bad defense.
  16. AZ will do better than 8-8 over next 2 seasons assuming no major injuries to guys like Kyler.
  17. One, I’m glad he went somewhere in the NFC and also that he’s not a Bill. I would have been excited for him if he signed here, dont get me wrong, but his cost, age and injury history are a concern plus he doesn’t fill our biggest hole on defense which is beef in the middle of the defense. We were 6th in the NFL in pressuring the QB last year and second fastest team in NFL in getting to QB behind only Steelers. But, AZ isn’t a bad choice for him. That’s a team on the rise that is expected to contend next year. Defense was solid already and offense is getting better each year as Kyler grows. So I wouldn’t say he did it only for the money, I mean warm weather and up and coming team, not mention D-Hop is there. Don’t be surprised if AZ wins that division next year.
  18. 1. I’m fine signing Watt, even with the injury and age risks. 2. BUT...that being said...Watt is far from our most pressing need though on defense. We were 6th in QB pressures last year and second fastest only to Pitt at getting to the QB. 3. Beef on the interior DL is substantially more important right now. I would rather spend the kind of money Watt is expected to get on some big beef in the middle of the DL. Not a slight on Watt, I’d be excited if he was a Bill. But I’m substantially more concerned about how we were frequently dominated in the trenches, especially right up the middle.
  19. Hahahaha I will translate for those unfamiliar with Call Of Duty: Warzone Diggs threw a stun grenade through a window of a building or house. Game confirms that the stun hit an enemy in there (hit marker), confirming there are at least one enemy inside. Those enemies are now briefly in slow motion essentially from the stun allowing Diggs the opportunity to run in with from a position of advantage and try and take them out before stun effects wear off. "Thirst one" essentially means he full killed an enemy. They first get downed, which is essentially saying incapacitated, but not yet "dead" and can be revived by a teammate or from a self revive kit. But if an enemy does more damage they are full killed, or if their teammates fail to revive him before the timer runs out or all die themselves they are also full killed. So Diggs ran in full killed one enemy after stunning them, but more than one enemy was in the room and he was downed himself before getting all the enemies. Him asking where his teammates were means he didn't have backup when he ran in the building (probably because he went in alone before his teammates were close enough) and that led to him killing one, but getting downed (and probably killed too) since his teammates were not there to help kill all the enemies and then revive him. Josh then mocked him believing the he "got downed" part, meaning Diggs probably dies more than his teammates or gets downed more and they have to revive him a lot or buy him back if he gets full killed.
  20. Read this whole thread again, ha good read. There are so many “I told you so” replies I wanna post...but I’ll just do one general “I told you so” victory lap instead... Drum roll...🥁🥁🥁... ...🥁🥁🥁... I told you so. And so did some others as well. Kudos to them too. 😂 I’m also the 420th reply 💨💨💨😂
  21. I agree they are a contender for sure. I really liked Pittman coming out of college too and think he is going to keep getting better next year as well. The main reason I am sold on whether or not Wentz can be an upgrade to Rivers though is he was one of the worst rated passers in the NFL last year while throwing from a clean pocket. So the excuse of a bad OL doesn't excuse those inaccuracies. Maybe its a confidence issue, maybe its he played above his ability for part of a season in 2017. We don't really know. I mean we have seen guys like Nick Foles have small great stretches of football in their careers too and just not be as good as those small pockets made it seem. So I am not ready to say Wentz rebounds to a point he is automatically an upgrade to Rivers just yet. But I do fully acknowledge the potential is there. I do think at the very least the Colts are no worse off than they were with Rivers last year because he wasn't relied on to carry the team. They have a good overall roster there for sure. And if Wentz can be an upgrade to Rivers, then Colts are firmly in the "real threat" category of the Bills, Titans, Browns, and Ravens next year to the Chiefs in the AFC. If he's isnt much of an upgrade, or worse, then I think they are still a playoff team, but not in the same contender status of the others I mentioned.
  22. Well they still get a 2nd next year if he doesn't play 75% of the snaps. And unless he gets hurt, he will play 75% of the snaps without question. They have no one else to really challenge him for playing time, and Colts have a stingy defense, good OL, and good run game. They will not have to lean on Wentz, so as long as he stays on the field healthy he is going to see 75% of the snaps next year. And if that happens, the 2nd becomes a first. So odds are, Eagles got a 3rd this year and 1st next year for an injury prone QB, with a large hard to trade contract, who hasn't looked good since 2017. The big questions on Wentz are two fold: 1. Can he stay healthy? 2. Who is the real Wentz? The guy who was an MVP candidate through 13 weeks of the season in 2017, or the guy who has played at a similar level as Mitch Trubisky since? Eagles OL was a mess, and so were their WR's...so how much did that cause him to regress? Honestly, Wentz likely would have struggled again in Chicago, but the Colts are literally a best case scenario for him. Good D to take pressure off the offense, and most importantly a very good OL with some solid weapons to throw to and in the run game. Big bonus is he has Frank Reich too. If he can't rebound his career there this year, he will be looking for a backup job in 2022...but if he can, Colts wont miss a beat with Rivers retiring and could even be better if Wentz finds some of that 2017 form. My personal opinion is I think Wentz is not as good as that short stint suggested in 2017, but also not as bad as hes looked the last 2 years and will be comparable to what Rivers was for them this year. Feels like a good trade for both sides right now.
  23. It also includes a 2nd next year that turns Into a first of We to plays 75% of the snaps next year. So it’s more than just a 3rd and that’s a pretty good return considering how bad the risks are with his contract and injury history, not to mention how poorly he’s played pretty much every game since he got hurt during his one good season.
  24. I think they will figure it out and get on the same page. I really doubt they move Wilson and don’t see this situation as strained as the one Watson and Houston have.
  25. He has no interest in playing football without Tom Brady. 0% chance he plays a down of football without Tom. When Tom retires so will he. No offense, this thread was dead before you started it.
