  1. Maybe you missed the part where Mahomes got hurt and Henne came in and immediately threw a bad INT that allowed Cle to get back into the game? End of the day, Cleveland couldn't keep moving the chains when it mattered...just like us. We stalled multiple times in the Redzone, an area we excelled in all year. We would start moving the ball and then all of a sudden they would lock down all our receivers a couple plays in a row and stall our drive. We don't miss the XP and convert in the Redzone for a TD before the half, and this is an entirely different game. People look at the final score and yet miss just how close we were to making this game a dog fight to the end. Honestly, Daboll looked totally unprepared for the defensive looks the Chiefs gave us. There is a reason he felt the need to apologize to some of our guys because he was out coached Sunday the Chiefs DC. We all know KC offense is going to score points, to be competitive with them we have to score too when we have our opportunities. The missed XP was further compounded when McD mistakenly decides to go for 2 and doesnt get it making it a 3 score game instead of a 2 score game (16) if he had just kicked the XP.
  2. People are over reacting to one game. First, the real reason we lost this game was simply because KC secondary and pass coverage was by FAR the best game they played all year. Their red zone defense was close to the worst in the NFL this year and we were the best in the Redzone, yet they managed to hold up several times with was the difference in the game. Never have I seen our receivers down field completely blanketed like that for much of the game. Yes, Hill and Kelce killed us, but they kill most teams. We knew that going in. What no one really expected was the elite play of the secondary and stiff Redzone defense, at least not at the levels they played on Sunday. If we play that game 10 times, no way that secondary and Redzone defense holds up that well in all those games. It is what it is, hats off to the Chiefs, their defense came up huge for them Sunday. So...we dont need to tear apart our team or have a complete shift in philosophy on how Beane builds this team. They will make some roster decisions related to the cap and then they will target replacements and add some pieces where we need help. I expect some BEEF to be added to our DL and that to be the top priority this offseason, and wouldn't be surprised to see some people acquired via trade, FA, or draft to challenge to start at CB, TE, and in the trenches.
  3. I totally agree with you, but in regards to Knox I just haven’t seen enough to feel confident in him being TE1 next year. Doesn’t mean he can’t break out or keep improving, but I would love to see us bring in someone like Ertz as a veteran leader for the kid.
  4. Here is what too many fail to realize...We need BEEF in the middle of the DL in the worst way and without it, BOTH Oliver and Edmunds jobs are a lot harder to do. I see people mentioning that about Oliver, but they also dont realize the impact it has on the LB's when the DL is easily manhandled in front of them because they are under sized. It allows more blockers to get out on Edmunds, other holes to open up making the LB now out of position, etc. I mean Edmunds just made back to back Pro Bowls, is young, and has plenty of ceiling left in front of him. Oliver, I am not sold on, but he has shown enough last year next to Star that makes me want to see more of him next to a true 1TDT. My guess, the top 5 priority list of the offseason is going to look something like this for FA, trades and Draft: DT - Hard to imagine this not being the top priority TE - Knox I think is a quality #2 guy, but he is not starter level. Maybe he gets there one day, but there should be some nice TE's available via trade or FA this offseason, and I think Beane could go get one. RB - While I know they like Devin and Moss, I think that its clear we need someone explosive with good hands to at least compliment them or be our lead back. CB - Norman was a 1 year deal, dont see him coming back. I can see them bringing someone in to challenge Levi for starting job opposite Tre DE - Murphy will be gone, and Espenesa is unproven still to go along with our old vets in Hughes and Addison. So I expect they will either add some depth here in FA, or draft one, possibly first 2 rounds if someone they covet is on the board.
  5. Was just coming here to post this. This is what a competitor looks like. His fire and drive were no doubt a big part of our rise and it’s just only the beginning.
  6. Weird...pretty sure some peeps said I was crazy when I suggested Watson could be traded and crazier when I said Jets would be a likely landing spot.
  7. I mean someone is going to sign him, he was a highly regarded prospect and highly drafted prospect 2 years ago. Steelers are a good landing spot for him with the talent there on the staff and field. If he can't develop there, he probably wont develop at all though, so at least he landed in a place that gives him his best chance to succeed. As for the Steelers, a free look at a recent highly drafted QB is a no brainer for them. Even if he doesn't develop enough to validate starting, he could still push to win the backup job as well.
  8. Chiefs narrowly are IMO, but all 4 remaining teams are pretty dangerous and legit shot at winning it all.
  9. Nick Wright isn't worth 2 craps, hes a clown putting on a clown show for clicks. Why anyone gives him those clicks is beyond me. But I am just talking about general talk about this game is mostly centered around the Chiefs. In a 10 minute segment, they may spend 2 min at most discussing the Bills vs the 8 min on the Chiefs. And the over whelming consensus is still that if Mahomes is healthy, Chiefs will repeat as Champions.. So I agree with others, that Bills not getting the same attention as GB, TB, and KC are right now in sports media. They have been given some props and praise for sure, but the bulk of the coverage still resides around those other 3 teams in terms of dedicated time of discussion or how much they write about each team. There are plenty of exceptions like GMFB for example, but I am referencing the majority of coverage in terms of balance on who they are talking about. Even after the Ravens game, it was more about Lamar, would they have won if not for the INT or injury, Tucker...etc. They talk more about it like the Ravens lost the game more so than we went out and beat them...and quite honestly, we mostly dominated them. Just like after Colts game, a lot of the talk was about how the Colts hurt themselves and blew the game vs us beating a really good team. And like I said earlier, I prefer it this way anyway.
  10. Lol, I cited that from the thread where a host actually called out those sports writers for continuing to focus on Ravens when asked questions about the Bills. I get a lot of my content from other places than just ESPN. But majority of the content I see discussing the upcoming game focuses a lot more on the Chiefs than Bills.
  11. Sorry meant Around The Horn where the host Tony Reali called everyone out for just talking about the Ravens even on Bills questions.
  12. Actually, the Bills aren't really getting the credit the deserve, but I prefer it that way. All the talk is literally around all 3 teams but the Bills. Even on PTI the host couldn't get them to talk about the Bills and called them out for it. The more popular consensus is that if Mahomes plays, Chiefs will go on to win the SB. Yes, they do agree we probably pose the biggest threat to them, but like 90% of the talk about this upcoming game is around the Chiefs and what is at stake for them. Just like most the talk after the Ravens game was more about Lamar, Tucker, and the Ravens. But for me...I love that they aren't. I think drives and fuels this team. They love being over looked, under estimated. They are hungry and play with a chip on their shoulder. For me...I really want Mahomes to play. I want to dethrone the champs when we win the championship, and if I am really getting my wish, we will go on to face Brady and crush him on the biggest stage.
  13. Sammy Watkins might the greatest waste of talent I have seen over the last decade. He had all the talent and tools to be elite but lacks the heart and mental toughness to do so. I used to defend this guy, but his lack of production on elite offenses is just mind blowing. He seems like a guy who lost his passion and drive to be great once he got paid.
  14. Well when you fill Neanderthals up with liquor and fried mayonnaise balls it’s inevitable
  15. I just did a bunch of trade downs and got a ton of draft picks next year and some needs still lol, if it were only that easy
  16. Yes, during a rebuild. We aren't rebuilding anymore, we are making a SUPER BOWL push. How is this complicated, I really don't understand how you don't see the difference.
  17. Out of necessity. All of those were in early years of a rebuild, not the heart of a Super Bowl run in the playoffs against a tough opponent. Bass is only exception, and again, out of necessity as he beat out a veteran and been excellent this year. And a rookie kicker is far different than a rookie at any other position.
