  1. I’d be pretty surprised if they didn’t pick up his 5th year. And honestly, I can’t see why they wouldn’t. He’s made 2 pro bowls, and been a guy whose played through injuries, loved by the team, and has not even peaked yet. He still has even more potential, and his job should be easier this year compared to last year just being healthy and having a better front 7 with Star back and new additions. Calling it now: As long as he stays healthy, he is going to make a 3rd Pro Bowl this year. For me the bigger question is if they will be able to afford to resign him to a second contract. He is going to be a highly sought after FA and be one of the top FA’s on the market as a multi-pro bowl LB still so young with freakish physical traits.
  2. Well our young guys taking another step this year is going to be improvement. We also are going to have very little turnover this year compared to other teams. We did add some players that can definitely make us better this year too. And I am not sure who they could have taken at their picks that suddenly become game changing to our season next year.
  3. I’ve been seeing a lot of people commenting about how we didn’t get “day 1” contributors. We are a 13-3 team that went the AFCCG. We have a strong roster, rookies generally aren’t coming in from rounds 3 and 5 or later and making an immediate impact on a team this good. When you have mid round rookies as significant contributors it generally means your team isn’t very good. So I don’t get all this obsession about other people who are concerned some of our draft picks are going to be developed and learn behind veterans to be groomed as replacements in next year or two. Even first snd second round picks when picking at the end of the round aren’t always going to have an automatic spot to come in and start on good rosters. Best way to develop rookies anyway is to not force them to play before they are ready. We are in a good spot with good players these guys will learn from and hopefully be ready to emerge as starters and major contributors when the vets are no longer on this team.
  4. When we lost in 2020, it was because we lost in the TRENCHES. Every single loss we were utterly dominated in the trenches by more physical lines. Beane said enough of that BS, we are getting bigger, meaner, and more physical. This draft made a lot of sense. And their are still viable options in FA to round out any holes they feel we may need to address it positions they want more competition at. I gave them an A for this draft. You win and lose in the trenches in the NFL, it’s proven over and over again, especially in the playoffs.
  5. Believing CJ Spiller could be an every down back after his one big season.
  6. To me it was clearly BPA and he stayed true to his board. First round picks still bust more than half the time. Just because we took one at 30 and one last year in the 2nd does not by any means mean we are set at DE. We just have “PROSPECTS” with potential. But we are for sure losing our two starters by next year in Addison and Hughes. Doubling down here with BPA at a position of major need next year is fine with me. I like this pick.
  7. And Jets followed my lead again haha, another weapon for Wilson instead of CB. Although in the mock Etienne was still on the board with this pick, so I took him. Im just busting your chops cuz you told me no way they would go offense first 3 picks. Hehehe. 😎
  8. I think there is almost no chance at all that Beane trades any premium picks next year like our first or second. Once we pay Josh, draft is going to be critical to keep restocking talent. We won’t be able to keep retaining guys like we did this year after Josh’s new contract is on the books.
  9. Personally I think Wilson is the more exciting prospect, but he’s on the Jets who give me little confidence in his development. Although they at least did the same thing I did when I had Jets in the TSW Mock and draft what I think is a stud prospect with future prop bowl written all over him in AVT to finally give their young QB some protection. They seem to have learned their lesson in how they botched Darnolds development. Mac Jones has gone to a superior organization though and honestly is a great system for his best traits. So I would say I think Mac Jones landed in the ideal spot and has the most potential to reach his ceiling than anyone on the Jets, even though I think Wilson as an individual is the more exciting prospect. But: Overall, I have a feeling when we look back at this draft class in 5 years, Trey Lance is going to emerge as the best QB from this class, even better than Trevor. He reminds me so much of Josh Allen in terms of physical gifts, but also intelligence, work ethic, and how much he can be coached up. There are traits you can’t teach, things people like Mahomes and Allen have that are just what separate them from the pack. And I feel like Lance has those things and he’s going to a great place too where he will get great coaching and chance to develop.
  10. I don’t disagree with you on their draft history at all, but I’m just saying that if you’re going to keep them around to draft, then you should let it play out. And to clarify, I’m not talking about rankings, I’m talking mock drafts which are different than rankings. And I read several mock drafts that had Leatherwood going in the first. I personally also would NOT have taken Leatherwood if I was them, in fact I was certain they were going to take DL or JOK because they are still chasing Chiefs and Kelce. But at the same time, improving the OL with a pocket passer like Carr isn’t exactly a bad move either, assuming Leathwrwood pans out. Again, I had him mocked to Titans just like 4 picks later and @GunnerBill I know also had him mocked in the first too. Titans and Leatherwood I felt were a real good fit based on the losses they had on the OL this offseason.
  11. I had Leatherwood mocked to the Titans in the first. A lot of mocks had Leatherwood in the first. Raiders draft history under this regime is definitely questionable, but to be so upset about a player who did have first round potential before he steps on a field is utterly stupid. Wrong Josh crowd should know this well both around here, other fans and a lot of media. I mean if you’re gonna stick with your staff through the draft, then you need to let the draft play out on the field. What if Learherwood becomes a pro-bowler, is anyone going to care that they felt he was taken too early? More importantly, all the “they should have traded down” to get him talk is silly. Takes two to tango first of all, secondly, I was not the only one who felt he was a target for the Titans 4 picks later given their losses this offseason on the right side of the line. If he’s your guy, then you need to take him too. Just like Beane said, he had trade down offers, but they didn’t do it because their target and guy was there at 30. Again, plenty to dislike about the Gruden and Mayock draft era, but I think the over reaction is a bit absurd and premature about a guy that had plenty of people mocking in the first. PS: I thought the Giants pick was much more of a reach anyway, no one had him going in the first.
  12. I was good with what ever edge guy they wanted, JOK, or Samuel Jr. Rousseau was the most intriguing edge rusher to me, so was happy with the pick. After 2019, I was looking at him as a top 10, maybe top 5 pick. I honestly had no idea who they would pick, thought Javonte was even a possibility. But I was hoping for defense once Etienne was off the board.
  13. Beane said they had a trade down offer but this was their guy and target and decided to stay put. I love that. If your guy is there, take him.
  14. I picked for the Jets...got both their players right for the first round @NewEra hehehe no cornerback...although I didnt trade up to get AVT in this draft.
  15. I agree on Turner going earlier as I have been hearing the same buzz. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Beane traded up in the second to land him. I’m not convinced he will go first round yet though, but it does seem like he won’t make it out of the second. As far as Leatherwood goes, I still think he’s a good fit for Titans who have a big need at RT. But if Titans pass, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him fall out of the first.
  16. I made an update you can see the notes in my OP above. Took out Pat in the second and movedTurner up as I am hearing a lot about him going earlier too. Also, I’m not sold Pat is on the board when we pick and we have met with Tommy Tremble. So went Turner in second and Tremble in 3rd...still getting a TE and Edge with out 2nd and 3rd picks, but in opposite order now.
  17. My final edition before the draft: 1) Jacksonville Jaguars - TREVOR LAWERENCE (Duh) 2) New York Jets - ZACH WILSON (Duh) 3) San Francisco 49ers - TREY LANCE (I just think the upside and mobility factor here is too much for them to pass up compared to Mac Jones) 4) Atlanta Falcons - JA'MARR CHASE (Pitts is popular mock here, but I dont see it. They just spent a draft pick trading for Hurst last year who played well for them, and I think its a foregone conclusion Julio will be traded for cap reasons...Chase is too good to pass up here to be the heir apparent to Julio). 5) Cincinnati Bengals - KYLE PITTS (Bengals get their young QB an elite weapon that can only help his development) 6) Miami Dolphins - PENEI SEWELL (They need to protect Tua and rebuild that OL, easy pick here) 7) Detroit Lions - JAYLEN WADDLE (Was tempted to go Slater here, but they need weapons for Goff and Waddle is too good to pass up here) 8) Carolina Panthers - RASHAWN SLATER (Jets ruined any shot at Darnolds development with neglecting the OL, with great weapons in place already they look to protect him) 9) Denver Broncos - JUSTIN FIELDS (I am not sold they take a QB here, but Fields falling into their lap will be hard to pass up given Lock didn't take the step they hoped last year) 10) Dallas Cowboys - PATRICK SURTAIN II (Defense is a major issue for Dallas, and I think this is an easy pick for them) 11) New York Giants - DEVONTA SMITH (They need playmakers and speed and Smith fits right into that giving Jones another weapons) 12) Philadelphia Eagles - MICAH PARSONS (One of the worst rosters IMO currently, they could go a lot of ways, but LB is one of the biggest needs and Parsons is the top LB prospect in the draft) 13) Los Angeles Chargers - CHRISTIAN DARRISHAW (They need to bolster the line, and Darrishaw is a great fit for them) 14) Minnesota Vikings - ALIJAH VERA-TUCKER (One of the worst pass blocking teams in the NFL last year, AVT is an ideal fit with plenty of versatility and a day 1 starter) 15) New England Patriots - MAC JONES (Board falls great for Pats and they get the kind of QB well suited for the system they like to run) 16) Arizona Cardinals - JAYCEE HORN (They have a huge hole to fill at DB and Horn is an easy pick here) 17) Las Vegas Raiders - JEREMIAH OWUSO-KORAMOAH (Going earlier here than a lot of people mock, but his coverage ability, especially in a division with KC and Kelce in it, is too much to pass up for Gruden here) 18) Miami Dolphins - KWITY PAYE (Fins look to replace some of the pass rush they lost this season with their second pick grabbing one of the top edge players in the draft) 19) Washington Football Team - JAMIM DAVIS (Ron Rivera looks to get his anchor at LB like he had in Carolina) 20) Chicago Bears - TEVIN JENKINS (When you got a team full of old vet QB's, you better get them some better protection and with the top QB's already off the board, that is exactly what they do) 21) Indianapolis Colts - RASHOD BOTEMAN (With Wentz in town, and a good OL and run game already in place to go with a solid defense, they look to add some better fire power in the passing game) 22) Tennessee Titans - ALEX LETHERWOOD (Titans look to fill the hole on their right side of the line from this offseason) 23) New York Jets - GREG NEWSOME II (If AVT falls here, its a no brainer pick...but since I have AVT going to Minnesota, Jets go for their other obvious need and take one of the top CB in the draft) 24) Pittsburgh Steelers - NAJEE HARRIS (I think Etienne is the top RB in the draft, but Harris seems to be more the type of back the Steelers like and make him the first RB taken) 25) Jacksonville Jaguars - JAELEN PHILLIPS (That DL needs some help, and they look to add one of the best guys on the line in this draft) 26) Cleveland Browns - ASANTE SAMUEL JR (Browns cornerbacks are good but all of them have struggled to stay healthy. Competing with the likes of KC and Buffalo, they can never have too many corners and Samuel is too tempting for them to pass up here). 27) Baltimore Ravens - AZEEZ OJULARI (This guy is an ideal fit for Baltimore, his style of play is just what they look for) 28) New Orleans Saints - CALEB FARLEY (What a steal here for the Saints who badly need another corner opposite Lattimore and health concerns allow them to nab probably the most talented corner in the draft) 29) Green Bay Packers - ELIJAH MOORE (Everyone expected them to take a WR last year, so they finally get someone to make Rodgers happy this year) 30) Buffalo Bills - TRAVIS ETIENNE (Not everyones favorite pick around here, but this guy would be a major asset and weapon and lots of Buzz about our interest in him and I think we stay put and draft him and I personally would be excited for it) 31) Baltimore Ravens - CREED HUMPHREY (Baltimores style of play requires a strong interior line, and I think Humphrey is too good a fit here even though I see some people mocking Humphrey as a second round pick) 32) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TREVON MOEHRIG (Board falls great here for TB and grab the top safety in the draft) Bills 7 selections: (I do think its quite possible Beane trades up at least once in this draft, and packaging one of our 5ths, or even both, to move back up into the 4th is something I think could very well happen...but I am just doing this with no mocked trades) RD1 - TRAVIS ETIENNE RB, CLEMSON RD2 - PAYTON TURNER, EDGE HOUSTON RD3 - TOMMY TREMBLE, TE NOTRE DAME RD5A - ROBERT ROCHELLE CB, CENTRAL ARKANSAS RD5B- TEDARREL SLAYTON DT, FLORIDA RD6- DEMETRIC FELTON WR, UCLA RD7- AVERY WILLIAMS CB, BOISE STATE UPDATED 2:48 to PST - Removed Pat Freiermuth TE Penn State as our second round pick and moved Payton Turner from our 3rd round selection to second round selection. In his place, have us taking Tommy Tremble instead in the 3rd. So we still get our edge guy, just a round earlier and get our TE a round later. Reason for the change as I don’t think Pat will be on the board when we pick in the second and lots of talk that Turner is going to go earlier than commonly mocked.
  18. 1) Jacksonville Jaguars - TREVOR LAWERENCE 2) New York Jets - ZACH WILSON 3) San Francisco 49ers - TREY LANCE 4) Atlanta Falcons - JA'MARR CHASE 5) Cincinnati Bengals - KYLE PITTS 6) Miami Dolphins - PENEI SEWELL 7) Detroit Lions - JAYLEN WADDLE 8) Carolina Panthers - RASHAWN SLATER 9) Denver Broncos - JUSTIN FIELDS 10) Dallas Cowboys - PATRICK SURTAIN II 11) New York Giants - DEVONTA SMITH 12) Philadelphia Eagles - MICAH PARSONS 13) Los Angeles Chargers - CHRISTIAN DARRISHAW 14) Minnesota Vikings - ALIJAH VERA-TUCKER 15) New England Patriots - MAC JONES 16) Arizona Cardinals - JAYCEE HORN 17) Las Vegas Raiders - JEREMIAH OWUSO-KORAMOAH 18) Miami Dolphins - KWITY PAYE 19) Washington Football Team - ZAVEN COLLINS 20) Chicago Bears - TEVIN JENKINS 21) Indianapolis Colts - RASHOD BOTEMAN 22) Tennessee Titans - ALEX LETHERWOOD 23) New York Jets - GREG NEWSOME II 24) Pittsburgh Steelers - NAJEE HARRIS 25) Jacksonville Jaguars - JAELEN PHILLIPS 26) Cleveland Browns - ASANTE SAMUEL JR 27) Baltimore Ravens - AZEEZ OJULARI 28) New Orleans Saints - CALEB FARLEY 29) Green Bay Packers - ELIJAH MOORE 30) Buffalo Bills - TRAVIS ETIENNE 31) Baltimore Ravens - CREED HUMPHREY 32) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TREVON MOEHRIG Bills selections: RD1 - TRAVIS ETIENNE RB, CLEMSON RD2 - PAYTON TURNER, EDGE HOUSTON RD3 - TOMMY TREMBLE, TE NOTRE DAME RD5A - ROBERT ROCHELLE CB, CENTRAL ARKANSAS RD5B- TEDARREL SLAYTON DT, FLORIDA RD6- DEMETRIC FELTON WR, UCLA RD7- AVERY WILLIAMS CB , BOISE STATE UPDATED 2:44 PST - Removed Pat Freiermuth TE Penn State as our second round pick and moved Payton Turner from our 3rd round selection to second round selection. In his place, have us taking Tommy Tremble instead in the 3rd. So we still get our edge guy, just a round earlier and get our TE a round later. Reason for the change as I don’t think Pat will be on the board when we pick in the second and lots of talk that Turner is going to go earlier than expected too.
  19. I would love to see us trade for Julio, even for next years 2nd. I get the combo of age, salary, and injury history has some people against this, but we are ready to win right NOW...and a guy like Julio substantially could impact our ability to win the SB not only this year, but for next couple of years easily. I also dont think it will happen, but I would be all for it if it did.
  20. Ah didn’t realize that, thanks for the heads up, I’ll edit that out since yeah, not draft night then due to that. But I still think Baltimore makes a play for him come June 1st.
  21. 100% trust this front office, it’s literally without question top 3 in the NFL right now, snd arguably the best FO in football.
