  1. No disrespect, but I whole heartedly disagree. Its not because I think so, its because the entire NFL thinks so. No one in the NFL would leave Gilmore off their top 10 CB list right now, not one player, GM, or coach. Its not a personal opinion, its a matter of fact. And there are plenty that would still list him top 5. He was a very good DB when he played in on bad to marginal teams in Buffalo and went on to become Elite in NE as he continue to mature as a player. But there are people here over exaggeration things over their personal dislike of him from things said after he left to discredit his ability as a player, and thats just silly IMO. I am not saying I am above error, I am saying its pretty silly to infer that Gilmore isn't still a great player and one of the better defensive backs in the NFL still. Especially since most of that stems from people being butt hurt over things said after he left still and playing for our rival and arch enemy in New England. I get it if people have personal dislike of him, and that is fine, everyone is entitled to like or dislike who ever they choose. But turning that personal dislike into an inaccurate portrayal of his ability as a player is silly and isn't based on unbiased and accurate football analysis.
  2. Ok, so now that the dust has settled, it seems to mostly be about him not playing as well as the guys around him and not fitting into the DC's defense the way he wanted. Some questions about his effort or commitment too have been thrown out, but nothing really confirmed about that. Here is my take...One of my absolute favorite things about our team and staff is their ability to get the most out of players. Sometimes a player just needs a change of scenery, a better structure, and a coaching staff that is invested in the kids development. And IMHO, we are among the best in the league, if not the best, at providing that type of environment. So for me, I would kick the tires here and see about bringing this kid in and seeing if he can develop. However, that is easier said than done, I mean it was really challenging to find a way to get to the 53 man roster prior to week 1 as it was. This is not an easy team to make, so to bring him in someone needs to go, and that person is likely a good ST contributor looking at the roster of where they could make room. But still, I think we would be one of the best places for him to land to see if he can get back to reaching his potential. But I also won't lose any sleep over this at all and both don't care if we sign him, and also don't think we will. Just saying, I wouldn't be upset if we did because I think our staff our culture is just that good.
  3. Anyone here remotely suggesting Gilmore wouldn't be a good signing is losing credibility as an informed poster. Gilmore is a top 10 corner in this league still without question, and I assure you there are plenty that will list him top 5 still across the league who actually are on the field with this guy. Ive been quite impressed with Levi Wallace thus far (albeit his first true test, well for him and our whole defense) is coming this week, but through 4 games he has played excellent. That being said, I would absolutely welcome Gilmore to the team if Bills had interest and he was willing to come back. So while I don't at this moment feel desperate to sign him, I certainly have absolutely no doubt he makes our team better and increases our SB chances. And lets be real, our dominant D has looked sensational against inferior opponents, but the last time our defense faced a lethal offense it was atrocious (Chiefs playoffs last year). And while our defense seems to be much improved with Star back and the new pass rushers out there, they have yet to be truly tested to have full confidence in our ability to win this weekend against the Chiefs. All that being said, I do doubt he wants to come back to Buffalo based on things said since his departure here, and I am not even sure Beane will have interest given how well our defense has played despite its not really truly been tested against a top offense and QB yet. He will have no shortage of suitors, he is still a top CB who would immediately be one of the best players on the defense for whatever team he signs with.
  4. The big question is WHY??? Off field issue?
  5. Well written article actually and spot on. Very stupid for him to bring this crap back up heading into the biggest game and test of the season.
  6. I fully agree with you on that, it’s stupid to keep this alive on social media.
  7. Absolutley. They need to get him to just shut up about it, he’s said his piece already, no value in continuing to say all this crap on social media, he’s not changing anyones mind and no one is changing his.
  8. I don’t necessarily even disagree with you. But for me, I want to win more than I want to be right about some controversial topic. So I’d rather have no distractions on game day for one of our best players or any other teammates. He’s not even the only one not vaxxed on the team, so I’d prefer to leave it for off the field. But that’s just my 2 cents
  9. Star is, and always has been very good. But, let’s also not forget Brisket, Heineken, and Nills were the 3 QBs we faced. Yes all intentional misspellings. We cooked one, drove one to drink, and got nothing from the other. But again, Star matters a lot to this defense, always has. We are a much better defense when he is on the field.
  10. Beasley is in a Twitter convo with Mark Cuban. It’s interesting back and forth right now. Beasley said people right behind the bench are booing him and talking s**t telling him to get vaccinated and stuff. I don’t in any way agree with any of his tweets and comments about vaccination, but come on, on football Sunday it’s game time. He’s a Buffalo Bill and when he’s on that field politics and differing opinions shouldn’t matter any more. His views are stupid, but that doesn’t make him a bad person, it makes him misinformed. So IMHO opinion, leave it be during the games and root for this team and everyone on it to play well. So far, his stance hasn’t caused any issues for the team or other players other than the personal backlash he receives on social media for his ill-advised comments. So until something happens that hurts the team or the players around him, I don’t really see the need to boo or harass him during the games.
  11. If you had “7 page thread about whether Besley is getting boo’d” after a blow out win on your 2021 TSW bingo card then kudos, you win.
  12. He was also a walk on in college at Alabama as well. Great story overall
  13. It was all my fault. It was my first game in Buffalo ever and the football gods felt it was only appropriate for me to experience some of the pain that all of the local Bills Mafia had to go through for the better part of 20 years. Sorry.
  14. I thought this was yet another stellar performance by Levi. He’s quietly having a great season so far. Week 1 he got too much grief on the TD and PI, especially when he tipped the ball away on the TD and WR just made a sensational play to still catch it and get two feet down. It was excellent coverage by Levi though. And the PI was also excellent coverage and the ball was just poorly thrown making chase come back for it creating the contact. Again his coverage on the play was very good too. But he’s been great otherwise IMHO. Now we haven’t exactly faced a dangerous group of QBs so far, and next will be a big test for not only him but our whole defense. In the meantime, kudos to Levi for his play thus far.
  15. Agreed on Knox, but I think he had one drop in week 1 or 2 if not mistaken. Other than that, he’s been great and made some amazing catches too
  16. For some of us , this was more of the same we have seen from Star as he’s always been quite valuable to our defensive front since he’s been here. Last year was painful not having him.
  17. Calling it now: This thread will be short because Edmunds had a great game and there’s nothing for others to complain about.
  18. And the one that was good, they traded away despite being so young for some reason.
  19. Same, and quite honestly not only is he my favorite Bill of all time (and I was a fan during the SB years), but he is literally my favorite NFL player to watch play the game since Barry Sanders. Even though I was a die hard Bills fan, and still obviously am, I loved watching Barry Sanders play because you knew at any given moment you were going to see something special that only he or few others could do. Thats how I feel about Josh. For example, never have I ever for a second had confidence in any team or player picking up a 3rd and 15, 3rd and 17, 3rd and 20, etc for example...at any level of football. But when we are staring down at 3rd and very long like that, I honestly feel like we are probably going to pick it up and I am almost surprised when we don't. His ability to improvise keeps every play exciting, and I just have so much fun watching him play. Adding into the fact just how amazing he is as a person, teammate, etc and its just impossible not to absolutely love this kid.
  20. Yeah, I know what you mean. The line has been terrible IMO, and Allen has been quite remarkable in how he avoids the pressure, including making guys like Chase Young look silly after he beats our OL to Josh and he somehow senses it and just easily slips right by him with ease.
  21. Serious question…do intentionally always create terrible takes just stir the pot or do you really believe the stuff you post?
