  1. Well that clearly depends on how he played. But he was talked about as top 5 before he opted out for the season.
  2. Not sure where you are getting this from. The fact you said Dane is better than him suggests to me that you haven't watched or paid attention to Levi's play this season very much. He's been very good and all year. And furthermore, if Dane was better then I am pretty sure he would have won the job in camp or taken over during the season so far. But given he has not, I don't think you can accurately say he is better. And no disrespect, people need to let the one play in week 1 go. First of all, he had excellent coverage on the play and Ben threw a terrible pass that was way short, otherwise there would not have even been any contact. Like the whole season, Levi had excellent coverage on the play, just unfortunate Ben woefully under threw the ball causing Chase to try and jump back and into Levi to get it, and it was Chase the instigated the contact not Levi. Not sure why everyone always wants to take one play and then somehow paint that players entire season/career as if its been a reoccurring issue.
  3. Half the people here are wrong on a lot of things too. Levi is having a very good season so far though, and its not even up to debate. I hope they find a way to keep, and I think they will.
  4. Keep in mind, no one on the team had more than 3 catches Sunday Beasley will be fine
  5. Disagree to an extent here. If you’ve been a key contributor for past couple of seasons and suddenly you’re not getting many snaps, I want that player to be frustrated and want to contribute to the team more. Now if he makes a big deal out of it, throws a fit on the sideline or something like that, then I get it and that’s unacceptable. But I don’t want the best 3rd down slot WR in the past 2 years to be happy to not be on the field either. And right now, he hasn't become an issue that we know of, so I am fine if he, or any player, gets a little frustrated when not getting the opportunities he got previously because their competitor drive wants to help the team.
  6. If the play is over turned, it does not get registered as a completed play or pass
  7. Bills also only team who hasn’t allowed a 20+ yard reception this season.
  8. I mean you covered everyone lol Agree on all points though
  9. All good browski. Enjoy Saturday night, I’m doing the same and let’s go Bills on Sunday. F the Chiefs. For the record, this game is big game and test for Edmunds and the rest of the D. We have dominated weak competition, but now we all need to see them step up and hold their own against the Chiefs. And for the record, while I will defend whether Edmunds is hit or miss today in relation to his draft, I am not committed to him for a new big contract until I see him make an impact in big moments too. That’s true for everyone on the team. In the previous 2 Chiefs games our team as a whole wasn’t up to the task. It’s time for them to mature in being the fire against a team standing in their way. And I’m not even demanding they must win, it’s a long season. But if they don’t win, they better look the part and take it down to the wire and show we at least have the ability to beat them. Last 2 games they played like they were no where close to beating them in all facets of the game and were dominated in the trenches.
  10. 2 Pro Bowls in 3 seasons. Team leader in Tackles since being here. Captain of the number 1 defense in the NFL. Teams game plan against him. Reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week. 4 years in the league, starter all 4 years. 5th year option picked up. He isn't the best MLB in football, but you would be hard pressed to find anyone who analyzes players for a living that would not list Edmunds in the top 10 of MLB's in the NFL right now. And considering MORE than 50% of all draft picks selected where he was chosen BUST in the NFL, I would say that is a hit by any measure. So I stand by my original critique of your scale of what a "hit" or a "miss" is as severely flawed.
  11. Geno looked much better than I would have ever guessed when he came into the game. That being said, it’s a lot easier as a backup to have a spark in a game then it is to start a game where you gotta play well for 60 min against a team whose game planned for you. So will be interesting to see how he does, my expectations are low. But I’ll give him credit for providing a spark and looking pretty good last game coming in for Russel. They moved the ball better with Geno then they did with Wilson. But I don’t expect that trend to continue. So IMO, I think it’s safe to say the playoff ship has sailed for the Seahawks this year given the strength of their division and no Russ for 6-8 weeks.
  12. No offense, but that’s an absurd statement. So now the only way you “hit” is of the guy you drafted is the best player available at that draft slot regardless of position? Our 2 time pro bowl LB in 3 seasons now is not a “hit” unless every player drafted after him is worse? Sorry your logic is grossly flawed. And every GM in history has a lot more misses than hits on their resume. Never in any sport has a GM even batted .500 on their draft picks. Like a Baseball player, their hit percentage will always be sub .500 and that’s true for all sports. What separates bad GMs from good ones are GMs who can identify the right type of players for their systems and then hit in a few big ones while also finding value contributors as role players in draft and free agency. In football, nothing is more important than hitting on a QB, and that one domino can often be the single definition of a good to great GM because it’s the single most important position in all off team sports. But great GMs are the ones who can then build a team around that QB, and Beane has quickly become a top 3 GM in the NFL because of it, and if we add a SB victory to his resume he will widely be seen as the best GM in football.
  13. Beane is my favorite non player Bill of all time. He just continues to impress in both how he puts a team together, and retaining his own. Great move
  14. Offense: Both of our RBs Hard to say which one, and probably both of them, but best way to beat the Chiefs is keep Mahomes off the field. We are so far one of the best rushing teams in the NFL and the Chiefs D is vulnerable to the run too. I think we will see a lot of Motor and Moss Sunday night to keep controlling the game clock. Especially if we have a lead or close game. I don’t mean conservatively, I mean like we have all season so far. Defense: Levi Wallace I think our front 7 will be disruptive with coverage down field stronger. This impact won’t show up on the stat sheet, but it’s when coverage is good that sacks and QB pressures begin to happen, and Levi has been playing excellent coverage all season and against good receivers. He won’t get the accolades from the fans or media, but if we are going to get to a mobile guy like Mahomes upfront, it starts with the secondary taking away his options. This is a big reason why the Bucs D isn’t as stout as expected so far, all of their starting corners are out and they aren’t getting to the QB as much as expected as a result. The guys upfront get all the credit for sacks and pressures, but many of them don’t happen if the pass defense didn’t take away their options allowing the big guys time to get to the QB.
  15. Lol...says they guy who not only doesn't know how the cap works or apparently how the NFL works, but also makes up make believe conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt at selling his agenda. 😂
  16. I disagree JA lost us the Pitt game. The single worst player/unit that day was without question our offensive line. Honestly, the turning point was clearly the blocked punt, but also the whole offense was out of sync, not just Allen. Daboll called on of his worst games since being in Buffalo, and our defense gave up 16 second half points too after a shut out in the first half. JA definitely had his struggles, but that was a team wide loss given the only person who really was a bright spot was Singletary week 1 on the offense.
  17. Except none of what you said here is grounded in facts or reality either. You clearly do not understand the cap. Second, you are now making things up I didn't say. I never once spoke about his "all time" status or even the HOF...I said he is without question considered a top 10 CB by everyone in the NFL at his position, and many still have him as a top 5 player and his performance and stats back that up. Albeit, I fully believe he will make the HOF, but I am saying that now for the first given you brought it up, but never did I discuss his legacy in any other post even once. Just his current status across the NFL. So to recap...you have created false scenarios and crazy conspiracy theories of BB and Brady still being in cahoots that have no reality, logic, or reason to them in some desperate attempt on your crusade to somehow prove Gilmore isn't any good anymore. Its getting comical at best now. You have also yet to prove a single thing I said that is wrong. Not one thing, yet I am somehow wrong because I stated he is regarded as a top 10 CB still and he would make any team better? Good luck proving that wrong, you are the only one sitting on that island. Not to mention, but the Pats got Randy Moss for a 4th who went on to set NFL records in several WR categories with the Patriots after that. His logic about the 6th round draft compensation is ridiculous and he clearly has no idea how the cap works or what cap hits are when you cut players.
  18. All you are doing here is show casing you dont understand the salary cap or that you are willing to say anything to support or disdain for Gilmore. Only a couple of teams had the cap room to trade for him (and I think it was only 2 teams) and only the panthers had any shot of contending of the teams who had the cap room to trade for him. So literally there is no factual accuracy to your claims that teams would have been offering up first round picks for him if he was good still. Nobody could afford his contract that was interested and could ONLY add them to their team if he was CUT and agreed to a deal that fit in their cap. And MANY teams were calling for his services in the event he was cut. The Panthers had $19M still in cap space and decided to INSURE they landed Gilmore by trading for him (as none of his other suitors could afford to trade for him and his existing contract) by offering the Pats something versus nothing. Panthers had all the leverage, Pats had to get nothing or take the 6th round pick. Literally nothing you have said about this is accurate or grounded in reality. Instead you are on some crusade to create any false scenario you can to diminish him as a player over your own hatred of him. In the other Gilmore thread you even proposed the most ridiculous theory that said BB tipped off Brady that Gilmore was going to be cut and the Bucs signed Sherman instead as some way to prove Gilmore isn't good. Which is ludicrous given the Bucs had been talking to Sherman for weeks, signed him before Gilmore was available, and were one of the teams pushing to sign Gilmore when news broke he could be cut. I get you hate him, but wow man, you will go to any length and paint any false reality to prove he isn’t a good player. Unfortunately there are no facts or reason in any of the points or theories you keep proposing.
  19. Yeah, its not like Gilmore turns some D into the 85 Bears, just saying giving our foes help does impact us. So I think everyone just preferred he didnt go to one of the teams we are likely to face in the playoffs.
  20. How do you figure though? Right now, the Chiefs biggest issue is defense...they are still directly in our path to a SB. You don't think the Chiefs get better by adding Gilmore? What about the Bucs? They very well could be who we face in the SB, and their single biggest weakness is CB with all of their top 4 DB's to start the year hurt and out. You don't think Gilmore makes them better? Making our opponents and biggest challengers to our goals better does effect the Bills future success. Doesn't mean they become impossible to beat, but strengthening our opponents would directly impact the difficulty of our schedule and path to our goal of winning a SB. Especially if Gilmore had been cut, then they essentially would have gotten free help as he could have signed for cheap within those teams tight cap situations. Him going to Panthers likely eliminated that possibility.
  21. Bill where do you come up with this stuff? You do realize that if a team trades for him they have to have the cap space because his current contract stays in tact. You do realize only a couple teams teams (Panthers being one of them) had the cap space to trade for him right? Hence why the Pats were going to have to cut him. Once news broke that a LONG list of suitors were inquiring, including many SB contenders, to sign him once cut (to a new contract that fits into their cap), the Panthers decided to guarantee they get him by trading for him because they could afford his salary and cap hit and were willing to pay it. Panthers had all the leverage, they were the only team that could actually trade for him, so Pats were either going to cut him for nothing or take a 6th round pick. Obviously something is better than nothing. So sorry, literally everything you just said is not accurate.
  22. Simple. Don’t. Leave. Kelce. Or. Hill. Wide. Open.
  23. Who said anything about being frightened? I am just not interested in seeing people directly in our path to the SB getting better, or someone we might face in the SB get better. There is not a roster in the NFL that Gilmore doesn't make better. Does not mean it makes them invincible or people need to panic, but its clearly in our best interest that people in our path did not get better. I don't think anyone believes the Panthers are true SB contenders right now. Doesn't mean its impossible, but I would rather see him go there rather than one of the other top teams in the league.
  24. Yes I am fully aware of the Sherman signing and was even before it was official that they had been talking to him, and of course I watched him play. Are you aware that they were talking to Sherman for a little while prior to signing him? Because they were. Now the second part of your question...I dont know if I am reading this wrong or what, but it sure seems like you are suggesting the possibility that BB tipped off Brady that Gilmore was gonna be available, and because the Bucs chose to sign Sherman (which was last week by the way before Gilmore stuff are out) that is some how evidence that Gilmore is not any good anymore. Is that really what you are trying to suggest right now? If so, that is really really really a stretch, and literally makes no sense on any level given the fact BB has no interest in helping Brady right now, and the Bucs were a team that expressed interest in signing Gilmore if he was released so clearly Sherman signing would have no relevancy at all to what they thought about Gilmore. So maybe I am misreading your post, but it sure seems like that is one heck of a story you are trying to sell to some how spin Gilmore isn't any good anymore.
