  1. No, the argument is that it isn’t a dumpster fire here either and we have 3 young guys we just added to it the last 2 years who are ready to see the field more. The argument is who cares we didn’t trade for a 32 year old who makes a ton against the cap and hasn’t had double digit sacks in 3 years and has durability issues now. Get over it, there are other options, in fact better and cheaper ones if that’s they want to go like Chandler Jones. To sit here and whine AGAIN about some older vet as if our season depended on it or that Beane somehow blew something is ridiculous and like being in the movie Groundhog Day. TSW does this literally every single offseason, cry about some player we didn’t get as if Beane is a moron. Meanwhile, while everyone’s whining about some player we “whiffed” on, Beane has built us into a powerhouse to stay a while that was a 13 second blunder from probably making the Super Bowl this year, and a good shot at winning it WITHOUT all these old guys people freaked out we didn’t get. So again, who cares about Mack. It was never going to happen with his cap hit AND draft capital we need to go get this dude. The fact so many think we, or should I say Beane, would ever give up valuable draft assets and that much cap space for a 32 DE who gets hurt and hasn’t turned in double digit sacks since 2018 is beyond me. But in traditional form…he’s a name they know, so now let’s over exaggerate and blow this out of proportion and be dramatic as if we are screwed before the free agency even begins.
  2. This is a pretty ridiculous take if you ask me. So much wrong with it that’s it’s hard to know where to begin. Couple glaring issues…Kirk is going to get offers over $40M for sure and offers in their $12m-$14m range. 3 RBs, none of which bring anything if real value to the team or any upgrades to what we had last year? Lmao. And not keeping any of our own other than Bates? I find it hard it to believe. I don’t like his draft much either. I would bet good money our off season looks nothing like this outside maybe Chandler Jones coming here to chase a ring.
  3. Cooper is one of the move over rated players in the NFL. I laughed my butt off when they gave him that huge deal lol. All the tools to dominate, and usually does a couple games a year, just enough to make his year end stats look good. But he disappears most other weeks and is almost a lock to be a ghost when it matters.
  4. 10th in sacks and 5th in the league in QB pressures. Those aren’t excel sheets or advanced stats, those are the good old simple stats you’re talking about.
  5. Haha now I’m curious to what people could possibly be talking about then for 24 pages haha
  6. My favorite post of the week! Haha nice work! 😂🤣😅
  7. Thanks, only rumors I have seen online so far are rumored interest in either Gronk or Engram. So was wondering if there was anything more maybe in this thread without having to scrub 24 pages haha.
  8. 15 pages on how we are doomed we didn’t trade for an over 30 player who hasn’t had double digit sacks in 3 years. Maybe we should fire Beane immediately. Lol So TSW.
  9. Are there any actual rumors in this thread to read? 24 pages is a lot to go through to find out lol
  10. I am all for signing Engram to pair with Knox, would be a really challenging duo for defenses to cover
  11. It’s one year left in his deal, he’s the perfect change of scenery player as he comes off the books if it doesn’t work out.
  12. True for all great GMs. Bill Walsh, considered one of the GOATS. traded up for JJ Stokes and called him the next Jerry Rice. He also referred to Jim Drunkenmiller as the next Joe Montana. No GM bats a 1000. But Beane not only has grand slams, but he has drafted very well and found many starting players who are all key contributors. Allen, Oliver, Edmunds, Levi, Knox, Davis, Brown, Singletary, Rousseau, etc. He has also signed guys that went on to be important players for us all across the roster. Beane has had a lot more hits than misses and is widely considered one of top minds and GMs in football right now. Not to mention, he’s been a master at maximizing trade values, structuring contracts, etc.
  13. You do realized we were 10th in the NFL in sacks and 5th in QB pressures right? We also have 3 DE’s taken in the first 2 rounds of the last 2 drafts to get on the field more too. Our need here is being over exaggerated. I’m all for upgrades, don’t get me wrong, but people literally slamming Beane right now over not trading for Mack. And yes, Miller did fine for Rams, but he was playing with the best DL player of our generation, and maybe ever, in Darnold, and that makes everyone’s job easier. Doesn’t mean Von has same impact if he landed here, and Beane did inquire about a Miller trade too.
  14. Geezus. Beane takes a bloated perennial loser, guts it, and turns it into a perennial SB contender after just 2 rebuild years and people act like he’s done nothing and is a bum. He is easily a top 5 GM in the NFL right now, and our future is sky high because of him. But people keep whining about him even though it wasn’t his fault the team on the field couldn’t hold a lead for 13 seconds.
  15. Is this where we over exaggerate Mack because he’s not a Bill? He hasn’t had double digit sacks since 2018, but I’m sure we are gonna have a ton of people here crying over this as if our shot at a SB is gone without him.
  16. Then you might want to find a new sport if you have that big of an issue with it because 32 out of 32 teams do this every year. Sign players whose primary role is ST.
  17. That’s a pretty poor take on Barkley if you ask me. And I suspect 31 other GMs agree with me on that.
  18. I am all for Kirk, he is just going to get a lot better offers elsewhere after whats happened already.
  19. Kirk is going to get $12-14M per year, Beane isn't going to pay that. Adams and Godwin tagged. Mike Williams stayed with Chargers for $60M over 3 years. Kirks value was always very high, now its even higher.
  20. I said it on January 11th...before they said that. Thanks for trying.
  21. Which is what I said back on January 11th
  22. Lol, called this 1 second after I read Wilson was traded. Younger, better version of what Wilson is today. Next week Watson will either be in high demand or his trade value will remain cold...this Friday is a big day for his immediate future in terms of the legal issues.
  23. How is this possible? I was told by a bunch of people here this was impossible when I said Wentz was either done in Indy or will be competing for his job with another vet come training camp. Lol, I mean it was clear as day they didn't want to commit to him anymore when they did their year end press conferences. Like I said in that thread originally, I think Colts are potential landing spot for Trubisky. This increases that because I doubt they want to give up more draft capital to get someone like Jimmy G where chatter is it might take a first round pick now after all the QB movement. They could still make a move for Jimmy G too, but after what they gave up for Wentz and that not working out, I would think signing someone will be more appealing for this season at least.
