  1. Geezus this dumb thread again. It’s like a rash that won’t go away
  2. My personal opinion is that a lot of it stems from Rodgers arrogance. He seems so arrogant about his abilities that it seems like he has a lack of certain urgency in some of these big games, almost like he just assumes he will win. And he also lacks accountability and like you said always wants to do it his way. He tends to blame everyone else after these losses. He is quick to throw others under the bus, and even blamed special teams for the loss yesterday. Yes ST were a part of the loss, but he also managed to lead his team to just 3 points rest of the game after the opening TD drive. Which is why the ST plays were so impactful to the final outcome.
  3. Rodgers issues go way back before that lol. Some of you need to lighten up lol.
  4. Yeah, surprised so many wet blankets around here. Just some light humor lol. And yeah, Rodgers def brings this on himself. Ironically no one complains when BB or Pats get roasted though lol
  5. Manning went one and done an NFL record 9 times in Indy, that is where the criticism came from. And the one SB he won in Indy he beat Rex Grossman. He would follow that up later with a second SB but got blown out 31-7 by Saints. He compounded the reputation by fielding the greatest offense in NFL history with Denver and reaching his third SB just to get blown out again by the Seahawks. At that point…9 times one and done in playoffs with Indy (NFL record), 3 SB appearances, 2 blow out losses despite having either the best offense in the NFL or best in history. Thats why he got criticism, stacked teams and either didn’t advance or did and got blown out. In his 2 SB losses, his offenses totaled 15 points combined. He dispelled that in a way with his 2nd and final SB being a victory even though Broncos defense and run game are why they won. Manning had the worst game in Super Bowl history by a winning QB. No TDs, 1 Int, 140 yards passing. Manning was also amongst the lowest rated passers overall that year, he was just done for the most part. All that matters is he got his 2nd ring. A win is a win. But his reputation for not being clutch in the playoffs was reasonable given how often his teams stalled. But unlike Rodgers, he at least made the big dance 4 times and will forever be the better QB between the two because of it.
  6. There are some real gems in here, haha the internet never fails 😂🤣😂 https://bleacherreport.com/twitter-roasts-aaron-rodgers-
  7. I didn’t say he is small compared to Beasley. I said because he is small he is going to need to be able to beat people on his routes if he wants to replace Beasley effectively. I said Cole is an elite route runner with exceptional hands. He is small too, but he excels because of those two attributes. Not to mention, Cole is pretty tough when it comes to YAC and getting that third down conversion. So again, if McKenzie wants to excel as a starting slot WR like Cole, and be a focal point of an offense, he is going to need to excel at winning his routes and having good hands like Cole has done.
  8. Congrats to Schoen, I think this is a great hire by the Giants. Our FO has been one of the best in the NFL, if he takes what he learned here from Beane there, I think the Giants are in good hands. With this not being seen as a strong QB class, I think its at least possible the Giants see what a new coach can do with Jones this year and use their ammo to rebuild the trenches first. If they do take a QB this draft, the guy I would keep an eye on is Malik Willis. And like many have said, Daboll makes a lot of sense for Schoen, but Daboll might have some more attractive situations still offered to him too. I see a lot of talk about Cole and McKenzie...my hats off to McKenzie, he has really made a nice impact in some games lately. I will however caution people though...its one thing to produce when teams are not prepared or game planning to take you out of a game...its a whole other thing when you are one of the focal points in the offense. Cole is an ELITE route runner and has exceptional hands. To just assume Mckenzie could slide into his role where teams focus on stopping him every week is premature still. Yes he is explosive, but he is small, and for him to excel in Cole's role, he will need to constantly beat people on routes and make those big catches. Cole is one of the most (and maybe the most) effective third down weapon in the NFL because of his ability to make people look silly in short spaces and fight for yards on YAC. That being said, with McKenzie having some strong play, and Knox and Davis emerging as legit weapons, I think its at least possible now that Cole be somewhere else next year. Still not sold Cole wont play out his last year here though, but its not out of the question anymore. Cole is someone I can see Schoen coveting to bring in, especially if they are going to see if they can help Daniel Jones or rookie QB out. So it wouldn't surprise me anymore if Cole isn't back next year, and Giants now to me make a lot of sense as a trade partner if so. Maybe its in a deal that includes Barkley given Giants cap issues too.
  9. Titans - Bengals are both soft and also banged up on the DL. Titans OL will control this game. Packers - Honestly, an upset here with the Niners surprising wouldn't be a shock to me...Rodgers led Packer teams have lacked a clutch gene and niners are tough in the trenches. But, with Jimmy G banged up with 2 injuries he is dealing with, and Pack fresh off a bye and getting all their guys back, I have to make the more likely scenario and pick Packers. Rams - Bucs won't have the fire power to keep up with the Rams against that Bucs weak secondary. Bills - While I think this will be a closer game, I do think ultimately we take this one, I feel like we are the more complete team. ASSUMING we don't self sabotage ourselves like we did too often in the regular season.
  10. I called this week 1...too bad Daboll didn’t read my post until week 13, otherwise we would be the number 1 seed 🤣
  11. To be fair, Daboll was a big reason we lost that game. Everyone wants to sing him praises today...but back then, his stubbornness and refusal to attempt to rush the ball even in a terrible weather game sunk us that game. To not even attempt to use Josh Allens legs, let alone Devin's, was inexcusable. Daboll IMHO had a terrible game plan that day and stuck to it even when it was clear our guys were struggling catching the ball in those conditions. So many dropped passes, even from Diggs. Yes Allen has a cannon, but he is a massive dual threat and to ignore that part of his game and also ignore our RBs in monstrous winds and terrible conditions was foolish. And it wasn't the only game like that this year. It took until the 2nd half of the Bucs game for him to realize running helps this team offensively tremendously. Lets hope he remembers that this weekend like he has every week since that Bucs game.
  12. I gotta disagree here. Devin was averaging 4.6 to 4.8 YPC the whole season. There was no hot hand either, because we didn’t even attempt to run the ball. You have to actually give guys carry’s to establish a hot hand, and Daboll refused to even try and run. We had one game with zero attempts in the first half even. I watched McD several times call out needing to run the ball more in post game press conferences because it was an issue. Despite being amongst the league leaders in YPC most the season as a team, Daboll just didn’t call very many run plays with our RBs the first 13 weeks. Since then, Devin has averaged 19 carry’s per game himself and we are undefeated…including 2 absolute beat downs of the Pats who we lost to earlier in the year because we didn’t run the ball despite horrible weather.
  13. Disagree on Daboll. It can easily be argued Daboll is a lot of the reason we don’t have the number 1 seed. It took him 13 weeks to figure what was so obvious week 1, that Singletary was our best RB and should be featured. It took him that long to finally buy into running the ball in general. First Pats game would have been a cake walk had they let Josh run and used Devin. Yes there is some genius to him…but he’s also not been good in Redzone situations and spent too much time being allergic to running the ball. He is replaceable, Allen has already arrived. And we may even get better with someone who keeps the run game involved the way we finally haw these past 5 weeks.
  14. Beane has been masterful in how he does contracts and manages the cap. So I think “this” window stays open for as long as our key players are here and -at the top of their game. Guys like Poyer, Hyde, Milano, Diggs, etc. I don’t name Allen because he’s young and locked up a long time, so he’s a given. After these guys start to decline or maybe leave at their next contracts, it will be about Beanes ability to refill the tool box like he’s done on the DL with young talent. But I would view that as the next window. I see windows as being about bulk of the current roster makeup. So I think this team has another 2-3 years at least and that window can go on much longer or even the bulk of Allen’s career if Beane keeps doing a great job.
  15. Keys to the game: 1. Can we control the LOS on both sides of the ball? 2. Can we avoid shooting ourselves in the foot with dumb penalties that kill drives or take points off the board…or give KC extra chances to extend drives? 3. Can we actually play defense on Kelce and Hill? 4. Do we win the turnover battle? Both Allen and Mahomes are elite, I think it comes down to those 4 factors more than what Allen and Mahomes do as individuals. We did none of that in AFCCG and lost bad. We did all of that in week 5 and won big. I think this game has more balance to it from both teams and is going to be more of a close battle with Bills winning 31-27.
  16. OBJ clearly wasn't "washed" like he was labeled. Speaks volumes that he can walk into a new team, new playbook, new QB, etc and immediately produce while in Cleveland where he had been for a while they couldn't get him involved. Who the problem is in Cleveland is a legit question...Baker, HC, GM? All of them? If I was the Browns, I would clean house right now...fire everyone in the FO and Coaching Staff and bring in a new regime to work with Baker this next season one last time before they are forced to make a decision on Baker. Its easier to reset the office than give up on the first pick in the draft who has at times looked like he could be a franchise guy. I would also look to trade Hunt or Chubb. D'Ernest Johsnon filled in quite nicely when needed, they can afford to move one of the other RB's. Use them to bring back some cap space and draft capital to help boost the rest of the roster.
  17. My point is more than if we can continue not getting in our own way, we can beat anyone in the league.
  18. Totally agree, the OL improvement has been huge for us. And they keep playing like they are not drawing stupid flags, we will win the SB IMHO.
  19. They average 16 since we last played them. They showed the stats in the game. Doesn’t mean we can’t score on them, but they got healthy and the D improved a lot from the 32 PPG they were giving up the first part of the season. Chris Jones being healthy is a big part of that. Again, doesn’t mean we won’t score, but if we think this is the same team we beat already we would be foolish. They are playing better on both sides of the ball then they were when we played them first time. So are we though…just saying we shouldn’t get over confident. We need to not shoot ourselves in the foot and win the turnover battle. If we do that, we will beat them again.
  20. This game will come down to one thing and one thing only…whether we shoot ourselves in the foot or not. Almost all of of our losses, even arguably all of them, can be pin pointed to times where we self inflicted our own demise. Commonly dumb penalties were the root like false starts and holding calls taking points off the board and killing drives or stupid penalties after stopping the opponent on third down and giving them free first downs and allowing them to get points instead of getting them off the field. We had other things like bad drops and missed assignments too. But when we don’t beat ourselves, we are capable of what we did this past Sunday and have been doing the past 5 weeks. So we play smart and disciplined football, we will again beat these Chiefs. I think Mahomes turns the ball over at least once this weekend, so if we can win that turnover battle and not hurt ourselves we will win handedly.
  21. Chiefs defense is number 1 in NFL in PPG allowed since then. That is the biggest difference. They were giving up over 32 points per game prior to that and around 16 ppg since. Doesn’t mean we can’t go in there and win, but the biggest difference though is the turn around of their defense. Mahomes is also playing better than he was then too. Buffalo also has gotten better too since we last played them. Should be a great game…Bills 31, Chiefs 27
  22. Some geniuses wanted to fire both McD and Beane last year too after a loss even though we went 13-3. This board has some utterly ridiculous posters on it at times and the only thing that brings them out are losses.
  23. Haha yup and if memory serves me, I think that may be the only thing we were not really on the same page on
  24. I feel like Josh Allen is the best overall player in the NFL. He will not, and should not, take that mantle officially until he wins the Super Bowl. But I feel like he is already that guy, honestly do. No one can do what he does, and no one in history has done it either. And when Allen gets decent pass protection, he can’t be stopped. Allen won’t officially have his name in that discussion until he wins the SB, but IMHO I wouldn’t trade Allen straight up for any player in the NFL, not even Mahomes. I firmly believe we will be in the SB this year too.
