  1. He got way more money than I think Beane was offering.
  2. No brainer here, good pick and I’m sure Steelers would be thrilled if this is how the draft fell to them
  3. Thats a man who wants to be great right there. I can't wait to see what he does this year in a bigger role.
  4. I mean I would be lying if I said I wouldn't love to land Jameson in the first...but that being said, there will be guys there in the 2nd who are exciting WR prospects still and unless we make a move for a CB before the draft in FA or trade, its hard seeing how CB isn't the pick in the first given the perceived drop off from there to our next pick. Personally, I think we could take 2 CB's in the first 4 to 5 rounds. And if we were to go WR in the first, wouldn't surprise me to go back to back CB in rounds 2 and 3
  5. It won't. Hamilton is gonna go top 10 and so will at least one more QB I am assuming, possibly 3. 7 of the first 10 picks could all take a QB or trade out of that spot for someone who wants a QB. Its not a great QB draft, but this isn't a top heavy draft for elite prospects, so I think with the amount of picks in the first 10 that could take a QB, plus some people outside the top 10 who might find a cheaper than normal trade up this year into the top 10 will result in more than 1 being taken as we have in this mock. Personally, I think its more plausible that one CB goes top 10 than 3. Its a deep draft CB this year, so I think some teams will prioritize other positions that are less deep early given the lack of truly elite prospects at the top of the draft.
  6. Yup, totally agree. Some nice players going in the top 10, but this isnt one of those top heavy drafts even though its a deep draft at several positions. Lucky for us, its deep at positions we likely need to draft still, especially WR and CB.
  7. I don't disagree, we always see QB's go earlier than one would think in classes like this still and he probably goes top 20 if the draft was today. But, its still possible Corral and Willis go ahead of him too, in which if that happens, Pickett could potentially slide to or past 20. But yeah, there are a lot of spots in the top 10 this year where a QB can go. I mean we can see a QB picked in the top 10 by either the team with that pick or someone trading up to those picks with Lions or Texans at 2 and 3, Giants at 5 to 7, Panthers at 6, Falcons at 8, and Seahawks at 9. So its not out of the question we see 3 of these QB's go in the top 10 still despite it not being a top tier class. So basically a QB has a real shot of being taken by 7 of the first 10 picks this year by the teams that hold those picks. Personally, I think Lions are a toss up, but if I had to guess now, I think they don't take a QB at 2 and either take another guy they covet or maybe trade down a few spots with someone looking to leap frog to insure they get their QB. I also think Houston passes on a QB, but they could trade down with someone there as well. The top 10 is really hard this year to predict accurately because it can go so many ways. That is usually the case in a weak QB crop year because its hard to know whether teams like Lions or Houston (who don't have ideal QB situations, but aren't desperate either) would pull the trigger on a QB, will other teams feel confident enough to trade up for a QB, etc etc. And I like years where the top 10 is less obvious. Some years, its easy to nail down 7+ of the top 10 picks, and maybe it will be more clear by draft night, but right now, the top 10 can go a lot of different ways.
  8. Oh yeah, thats right to get Waddle. Thanks Gunner
  9. I didn’t realize Eagles had 3 first round picks, thought it was just the 2 back to back picks. This would be a pretty strong haul for the Eagles if they get these 3 players. Knowing the Eagles they will screw some of these up though ha. Where did the Eagles get the extra first round pick? I know one is from Colts for Wentz, but where did the 3rd one come from?
  10. I think a WR to the Saints makes a lot of sense. Thomas isn’t going to ever be what he was with Brees, and has not been healthy in forever. Winston can sling the rock, he’s a former 5000 yard passer and that was before he addressed his eye issues. I doubt they see him as the future, but he’s certainly capable of playing this year as the starter. Maybe it’s because I’m not that enamored with any QB after Willis, but I think the Saints look to add a weapon to the offense which it sorely needs. So to me, Olave makes a lot of sense here.
  11. He won’t be there In the real draft, great pick
  12. I mean why aren’t more people acknowledging this post right here? Literally this post ends this thread and shows people need to stop getting their “news” or info from social media posts and/or headlines.
  13. Lmao, it keeps auto correcting to Darnold. I know it’s Donald, he’s one of favorite non-Bills players.
  14. That doesn’t really make him more disruptive though. Makes him more valuable one could say, but being more disruptive would equate to more sacks, pressures, forced fumbles, tackles, etc. And TJ is doing at the highest rate in the NFL right now. I get the value of getting what Donald brings from the DT position, and he’s arguably the best DT of all time and one of the best defensive players overall of all time. But as it equates to the question of the OP, his age and retirement rumors would hurt his trade value.
  15. I think TJ Watt is slightly better overall player personally than Myles. It’s very close obviously, but I would personally take TJ over Myles. I do agree compensation would be similar though and they would likely be the top 2 in terms of compensation. Donald is probably the greatest DT ever, but yes age and how much longer he will play will lower his compensation in this question posed by the OP.
  16. It’s TJ Watt for sure. He’s the most dominant and disruptive defensive player in the NFL right now, even ahead of Donald who I would say is a very close second. Parsons is interesting, but only 1 year on his resume, so I think Watt would fetch the most.
  17. And some notes as to why you chose Charles Cross
  18. Personally, if I am a team like the Falcons, I stay put and either take BPA or trade down and compile more draft picks this year and next. And if I really want a QB, a guy like Howell or Ridder has a good chance to be there in the 2nd and I don't think there is much of a gap between them and Pickett or Corall IMHO. The only guy I would take early is Willis. If I am going QB early, they better have a very high ceiling if they aren't some sort of slam dunk prospect. But even Willis isn't someone I would even trade up for unless I was desperate to get someone this year. Carolina is in a bit more desperate scenario IMO, so I can see them trading up from 6 to insure they get their guy. They have a good defense and a lot of playmakers on offense. They are a QB away from contending in the NFC. Where as teams like Detroit and Atlanta have a lot of holes to fill, they don't need to reach for a QB this year either as they at least have guys who can hold the job down for one more season too. Although with Detroit, you can make a case that being able to draft a QB without having to spend big to trade up is also appealing, so they may just go ahead and nab someone like Willis if they feel he is worth taking there vs risking not having a high enough pick next year to get their guy and having to trade a lot to move up if they want him. So they are kind of the wildcard right now IMHO at the top of the draft.
  19. I think Willis will go top 7 personally, and may even see a team move up to get him. I don't think anyone feels good about trading up for any of the other QB's though. I gave Matt Corrall some consideration at 8, but ultimately, I felt no pressure to go QB here given we have a lot of big needs and think Mariota is a capable 1 year starter if need be. Falcons plan should be not to reach this draft and take the BPA on the board as they have holes every where. And to me Corrall and Pickett are a reach at 8 (I like Corrall's upside a little more than Pickett personally). Yeah I cant see him getting past Carolina. I dont know what Detroit will do either, but I think they are going throw some smoke regardless about Willis to try and get someone to give them a nice trade offer to move ahead of other teams to get him.
  20. Yes, but I don't expect him to be there in the real draft either. Its a deep WR draft, to be able to pull the trigger with the 8th pick for the highest ceiling QB in the draft without having to do a pricey trade up would have been too much to pass up.
  21. With the 8th pick of the 2022 TSW Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select: Garrett Wilson, WR Ohio State With a lot of holes on both sides of the ball, we aren't interested in trading draft capital to move up in the draft for a QB. There are some QB's in the draft we find intriguing that we like, but with the only one we were willing to take here now off the board, our focus is adding more playmakers to the offense and we are going BPA and taking the top guy on our board in Garrett Wilson. His polished route running will not only be an important weapon for our QB Mariota, but will also take some of the defensive pressure away from our talented TE Pitts. The Seattle Seahawks and @Rock-A-Bye Beasleyare now on the clock with the 9th pick in the draft.
  22. Meh, I’d smoke him. First one was a bad throw and got lucky it hit hole. When you Air Mail a cornhole on an open board that’s like hitting a 3 off the backboard when you weren’t aiming for the backboard haha
  23. Honestly, it’s gonna depend on the flow of the game. Defer is gonna be a strong choice because you have more info when you get the ball and what you need to win. Like do you just need a FG or can you go for two and win it. But if our offense is on fire like the KC game, probably take the ball while we are clicking and hot and strike first to out the pressure on the other team.
  24. I think its more he doesn't follow it all that closely to know the real details, hes not a bad dude, just a friend I play basketball with
