  1. I think they should sit Bernard and Dorian this week and let Milano play a little bit like the first quarter or so to keep Milano sharpening his tools for the playoffs. We still have Dorian for insurance in a worst case scenario with Milano. But with the possibility of going Burrow, Lamar, Mahomes I would much prefer Milano closer to his best self.
  2. I agree, and I was someone who felt SVPG was going to be the eventual starter when he was drafted, likely next year. I really like his potential still at center, but like you said, it is really hard to imagine they make any OL changes ahead of next year with how well its played this season.
  3. I whole heatedly agree. I feel like we have historically played Lamar well and have more confidence in slowing them down than I do the Bengals, who in the partial game and full game we played against them we seemed to have no answers. Earlier this year against the Ravens, we got caught up in a bad game giving up an 80 yard run on the first play to Henry that seemed to put the whole team on its heals in its first test of adversity since the opening half of week 1. I am not going to assume it will be like that again, especially at our home this time. The Ravens IMHO are still the 2nd scariest offense to me in the AFC playoffs just given my lack of confidence in defending the run, but like you said, I am much more concerned about defending the Bengals offense right now than anyone else in terms of our defense.
  4. To be clear, I wasn't arguing against Cook...I was refuting the "travesty" part. Mixon had as much of a right/case for the pro bowl vote as Cook did, it wasn't a travesty was the point.
  5. Oh I agree about the Ravens for sure, they are a scary matchup with how much we have struggled with defending the run. But Bengals are far more scarier than the Broncos are to me right now because Burrow is maybe playing better than anyone right now himself, and our defense has been a** down the stretch. The 2 teams that scare me right now, in terms of our defense having to face them, are Bengals and Ravens. I am pretty confident in beating the Broncos, and if we were to face off against the Chiefs in the AFCCG this year, this is probably the most confident I have ever been at winning that game. Last year I was actually pretty concerned heading in as we had no LB's and I knew the Chiefs were going to exploit that all game, which they did. The Bills offense indoors on turf vs LA and Det is a different animal than the offense that played at home the past 2 weeks. So what makes me nervous is having to go toe to toe with another elite offense in less than ideal to bad weather at home. People always talk about our home field advantage, but its not much of an advantage IMHO given it impacts our offense as well and the best teams we are facing in the playoffs play plenty of games in bad weather as it is too, so they are well seasoned to play in those conditions. If we were playing Miami, sure its an advantage. KC, Balt, Cincy, Denver, Pitt...these guys are all used to playing in cold weather games, so its not anymore an advantage over them than any other "home" game would be anywhere else. The debate of dome or no dome is long over...but seeing Allen in LA and Det just made me think about what could have been over Allens career had we done something even like SoFi where its still got the outdoors feel with the open air design while still having a roof. I get why they went away from it, but can't help but imagine what Allens already record breaking stats would like playing under a roof at home.
  6. How do I feel about the defense...I will just say this...please don't let the Bengals get in.
  7. How Is Mixon over Cook a travesty? He has more rushing yards and more receiving yards than Cook in 3 less games played. Cook finished 7th in rushing yards, his biggest case would be the TD's, but Mixon still has 10 TD's himself, again in 3 less games. No doubt, the Pro Bowl is and has been meaningless. But, who else on the Bills had a case? This isn't a team success vote No one on offense had a big statistical season individually in our spread the ball around offense outside Allen. Dawkins was the most dominant OL player. On defense, no one on our entire defense is in the top 10 in any statistical category and our leading tackler is now a backup (Dorian). We have no one with more than 2 INT's, and our sack leader is Groot at 8 which puts him tied for just 15th in the AFC (and tied for 23rd overall in the NFL). So not sure where some people are surprised or outraged, the pro bowl is an individual vote, not a reflection of team success. If anything...this shows just how much McD should be in the running, if not flat out win, COY having achieved our season with a roster where few players had any type of big or outstanding season.
  8. TBH its not really much different than how Brady used Davis last year. Davis would often see the most snaps even though Diggs was our best WR and that was a function of his blocking. In the games Brady was the OC, Davis only had 2 games over 3 targets, one of which was a 12 target game against Philly and 6 target game against Chargers. Its coincided with a bigger emphasis on getting Cook and the ground game in general going. And you are right, it is hard to argue with the results really given the Bills have scored the most points in the NFL this year and exceeded all expectations for the most part. The Bills are 20-5 in the Brady OC era and counting at the moment (7 reg season games and 2 post season 2023, and 16 games 2024). But like you, I do hope to see Cooper get more involved in the postseason. As you said, Coleman who has had a lot of exciting and encouraging plays, still is a rookie and had his rookie moments. It was a bummer he missed time as well. As far as Shakir goes, I wouldn't worry about him, everyone on the offense, including Allen were a bit off against the Pats (probably a bit of a comedown after the back to back games with Rams and Lions), and in the Jets game Allen only threw for 182 yards and no one on the team had more than 3 receptions in a blow out win. Jets made that game easy on us
  9. I mean I think a part of that is still time in the offense. The offense is always going to be a bit more complicated when playing with Allen because he extends plays so much and guys need to know where to be or go when he does. They have also have talked about how complex and big the playbook is on top of that where receivers have a lot of options. So I do think coming in midseason is probably going to see Josh feel more comfortable with the guys who he has had more time with and wouldn't surprise me at all if that was part of the reason. IMHO Mack snaps really isn't that odd at all, its the same as it was with Gabe Davis...which comes down to the dirty work and blocking. They have shown a big emphasis on his high level blocking similar to Davis where Davis even got a game ball in the Dallas game with 0 targets and not a single registered stat. While Cooper was heavily targeted (14 targets) in that Rams game, he only had 6 catches for a pretty bad 43% catch rate. Its just one game, but maybe its possible they felt trying to feed him targets wasn't very efficient. Could be that Allen and Cooper just don't yet have the same timing and mind meld that he has with guys who were here the whole offseason for the full install of the offense. For example, I remember when Josh Allen openly talked about earlier in the season (one of the games in the first 3 weeks) where he had Coleman for an easy TD on a short slat on down and goal, but he chose to tuck the ball and run it in himself. After the game Josh said he should have trusted Coleman there and thrown him that ball. He would also say that is why he later in that same game threw him a deep back shoulder throw where Coleman made a big catch down the sideline. So wouldn't surprise me if Allen just has a higher comfort level of guys will be on the same page more, especially with how the season as gone than he maybe has developed with Cooper so far. Alternate consideration could also be too that they are not trying to over use Cooper and show too much with him (as Allen alluded too regarding the offense in general after the last Pats game) ahead of the playoffs. Letting Cooper and Allen just more get more reps and comfortable with each other, but not yet show the full scale of their potential. All that being said...Cooper having a relevant game then some low production ones isn't unusual per his career either.
  10. This I agree on, he has fit in from a culture stand point exactly as I expected as he has never been a me first guy. Its why of all the rumored available WR's, he always was the best fit to trade for based on his cost and his unselfish attitude that would be a good culture fit. And like I originally said, if we can sign him on a reasonable deal, which is certainly possible if he prioritizes staying here to finish his career vs maximizing $$$, then do it. But if he wants to get one last payday with bigger WR1 type money, well then I think thats too much for him based on the things I already discussed, especially with how Brady and Allen are running this offense. Personally, I think there is a good chance he comes back as I think he seems to like it here and he has fit in well, so I expect Beane to make him like a 2 year offer in the low to mid $30M range, which would be fine. What I don't want to see is a 3 year deal over $60M for a guy who will be 31 next year with the other things I already discussed previously too.
  11. Happy new years!
  12. Like I said, agree to disagree as I dont have the time nor desire to keep beating a dead horse and correcting the things you again are wrong about. Its a bit like Groundhogs Day at this point.
  13. Your continuing to lie...or struggle with reading cpmprehension...its getting old and sad. You need a new schtick.
  14. I expect WR to a priority in the draft and one of our first 3 picks in rounds 1 and 2. Without knowing what we do in FA, I think DL and WR are going to be top priorities in the draft. Of course if we sign someone in FA or bring Cooper back, that could change that ahead of the draft.
  15. Exactly...but the funny part is that its a fail at "I told you so" because he falsified the information...no surprise there. And don't get me started on all his bad takes and flip flopping takes on Shakir lol.
  16. Yeah I agree that Beane will likely try and do his extension this year. Shakir loves playing here and the team, coaches, Beane, and Allen love him. I think it will be a mutually beneficial type deal because both sides want it to happen. And Buffalo has leverage too with the "everybody eats" type philosophy as well IMHO. I am expecting like $16-$17M per range
  17. LMAO This made my day! The fact I live so rent free in your head that you have to lie and make false things up to try and get over on me makes me smile. You, and anyone who reads this thread, knows 100% that was NOT a prediction, that was what his totals would have been LAST year based on his averages on 100 targets. I have written in this thread and many other threads 100 times I said he would be 900-1100 yards. What is even more hilarious, is how you private message me when you want to actually have a real conversation to desperately hide your admiration of me, where we AGAIN also very specifically discussed his projections where I said 900-1100 yards. Thanks for the chuckle and great start to my day
  18. Anybody but the Bengals. I don’t want to see this defense try and slow down Burrow and I couldnt stomach another loss to Burrow at home in the playoffs. A gauntlet of Burrow, Lamar, and Mahomes in each round with our defense sounds daunting to say the least
  19. Yup, exactly my thoughts as well, totally agree with all of this. I mean McD has a case for COY right now (he wont win it, but he has a case) after exceeding just about everyones expectations, which I would bet money includes the Bills in house as I seriously doubt they came into the season expecting to go 13-3 and lock down the 2 seed at this stage. Especially with the perceived schedule we had coming in during a season with so much change with a mini reset. But with exceeding reg season expectations come raised expectations in the postseason. So despite his regular season accomplishments, another disappointing early exit at home would absolutely put him on the hot seat, but his over achieving regular season likely buys him next year. I mean all 3 of our losses were to playoff teams, so I think if we got upset at home early in the playoffs there would be some built in benefit of the doubt he would get where the whole "transition year" comes back into play where they can say he "overachieved" in the regular season with a team that didn't have all the pieces to consistently beat the caliber of teams in the postseason.
  20. You must not have been on much in the offseason and missed the quietly got better thread too ha He got way way way more heat in the offseason than in season. In fact, he was pretty good the first 3 weeks where he affected almost every TD scored running and passing either through blocking or receiving. Only time he really took any heat in season was the Houston game, but it was totally misguided heat, not only on that play, but that game in general. For example, that Texans play was more on Josh Allen in what was Allens worst game as a pro both throwing the ball and on his decision making (and the worst game in NFL history for comp% if I am not mistaken too). It was a poorly thrown ball that had way too much air on it, was thrown too far and more importantly thrown off target to the wrong shoulder on the outside. That ball was put in the most difficult spot for any WR to track and catch that ball when Mack had been wide open for what should have been an easy toss and catch. It was not that Mack looked one way and should have looked another, it was Josh made a poor throw and put Mack in a highly difficult position to both track and make that play...That is a hard adjustment and catch for most WR's.
  21. No disrespect, but this happens every weekend all across the NFL. WR's all the time will point up when they want to tell the QB put it higher, I mean I have seen this gesture a 1000 times. This is 1 million percent in no way showing up the QB, its completely standard, regular, and common communication on the football field. I have both done this gesture in a football game as a receiver and I have had other receivers do this to me in a football game as well when I was in as QB. I am actually stunned the OP actually posted this thread and hasn't taken it down yet. This thread couldn't be more off base with what was happening or how common this gesture is.
  22. If we lose first round, I think McD absolutely should be and will be in the hot seat. That being said, I don't know if that would lead to him getting fired or not this year as being in the hotseat doesn't always equate to getting fired either.
  23. Mack Hollins is trending on twitter...for...basically being awesome haha. Still can't believe all the whining and crap that was piled on this guy during the offseason by a lot of posters around here.
  24. With todays win, Josh Allen now has the most wins of any QB in NFL history (75) through their first 7 seasons. He already held most total TD's and most total Yards of any QB in NFL history as well. MVP.
  25. Maybe the worst thread post of all time...thats quite the accomplishment
