  1. We don't know where Devin was "supposed to go" on that Allen run on the audible. Its easy to say post snap where, but we do not know what the pre snap call was. So not really fair to put it on Devin if you don't know that Devin even made a mistake. Allen gushed about Devin in his post game presser too. And Devin made a lot of important plays for us today, and that is both from watching the game and listening to Josh give him high praise today.
  2. Im not saying CMC isn't an upgrade...I am only calling someone out dumping on a guy who played very well today just to serve his bias agenda. Never said we can't upgrade from Devin...I just defend him when someone is clearly negatively grossly over exaggerating him. I do the same for all our players when someone dumps on them after a good game and a win.
  3. The three I remember that were that kind of hurdle are Vikings in 2018, Chiefs 2021, and Chiefs 2022...all of them got him a first down he would not have gotten without the hurdle and all were wins. So to my recollection, he is 3-0
  4. I find it hilarious when people who have an agenda against one player will go find one play to hang their hat on while ignoring all the other great plays they made. Every player on every team in every game for all of NFL history has plays where they didn't get the job done on some specific play. It's about what they did as a whole. And he had a great game. Period.
  5. Honestly...I don't know if he will prove to be any good long term...but Mac Jones job is not secure right now. It would not surprise me at all if Mac doesn't get his job back right away when he is healthy again.
  6. Last I checked it still counted for 3 points. And they got there in 2 plays again. This time in 1 second less than last time.
  7. Dude...the fact you are in here railing on Singletary who had a great game today just announces to the whole board you have nothing to say and only care about pushing a bias agenda regardless of the facts of what just happened on the field. Josh Allen GUSHED about Devin in the post game presser too and how important he is out there on the field. But hey, keep going with a misguided rant towards a guy who played great today just to serve your desire to be right about him.
  8. Agreed. I am a convert from last year. I was frustrated with the lack of "attack" I felt we had, but now with the revamped DL, this Frazier defense is excellent. Although he still has to figure out how to stop a FG to end a half/game with 12 to 13 seconds on the clock. He is 0-2 now
  9. At this point...if you don't think McD and Frazier are very good coaches then you don't know as much as you think about football. And if you don't think Beane is amongst the best, if not the best GM's in the league, then you really don't know football.
  10. Posters wanted McD and Beane fired in the first half of last game too. Its unbelievably stupid how fast people turn on our great staff and FO in a game.
  11. I mean I know its about who as in an individual...but for me I am going to still say the revamped DL. If we can pressure Mahomes with our front 4, we will win in a blow out. If we can't get pressure and give Mahomes time, then we will likely see a closer high scoring game.
  12. Eagles aren't even the best team in the NFC. They are also lucky to be undefeated still thanks to bone head mistakes in 2 games by their opponents.
  13. Its a different game this year. With no Tyreek Hill, the Bills can put a heavier focus on Kelce. And with how well Edmunds and Milano have been playing this year too, I think we will see Kelce kept a little more under control this time around. End of the day though, Kelce is not only elite, but maybe the best ever at his position...he is at least top 3. So still won't surprise me if he has a good day. But in the past, it was getting burned by both Kelce and Hill that hurt us...now with Hill gone, if Kelce still has a strong game, we aren't as vulnerable as we were previously because we are better equipped to handle the rest of their weapons.
  14. RB's are not a dime a dozen, at least not good or great ones. This gets constantly misused and misstated...the reality of where this came from is merely from the fact a lot of very good or better RB's have come outside the first round of the draft. But so has the best WR's too, but people don't say they are a dime a dozen. The majority of the best WR's in the NFL came in rounds 2 or later. Same with OL for example, which is probably even more important than "who" is running the ball as a great OL can make even a mediocre RB look good. Yet the only position the "dime a dozen" label gets used on is RB. And the reason I think that happens is because people see the RB position in general as devalued in what has become a pass dominant league. And now having a shift where you are seeing more and more QB's come in and have throwing success with the ability to also run the ball (Allen, Lamar, Mahomes, Herbert, Jalen, Wilson, etc), it only further has diminished the perceived value of the RB. But truth is, finding a good to great RB isn't all that easy, and even if you do, you can limit their effectiveness if you don't have a strong OL, or a good passing attack to keep them from stacking the box, etc. A good to great RB isn't just a good ball carrier, they are a good receiving option and also need to be good in pass protection. Its just not easy to find a complete package like that.
  15. The problem with doing that is we have 2 other rookies, one of which has a broken hand. And our All Pro hasn't played in a year and it can often take part or all of a season to come all the way back from that injury both physically AND mentally. If Tre was to have a setback or struggle, we would be left with 2 rookies come playoff time. So I really do not see them trading a CB in season. Definitely could see them do something in the offseason, but we are in an all out press for the SB title this year, no need to make us thin at a very important position...one where we will be facing Mahomes and possibly other dangerous passing teams in the playoffs.
  16. Not surprising given the age of the stadium. Doesn’t matter much longer though, new stadium coming.
  17. I hear what you are saying, having the insurance policy. But Devin does make a lot of sense for Carolina. They still need someone to run the ball this year and Devin comes off the books after the end of the year. So IF these talks are real in terms of Car wanting Devin and a 2nd, its certainly because they get a solid RB back for this season that won't be on the cap next season. I still have doubts we trade for CMC anyway, but if we did and included Devin then I would be ok with it. But like you, for the same reasons, I would prefer to keep Devin for insurance reasons.
  18. Gibson isn't better than Devin in any facet of running the ball outside of 40 yard dash race. Devin plays faster, has better vision, better at breaking tackles, better agility, better acceleration, better at pass protection, and hits the hole faster. I don't even know if one can say Gibson is a better receiver anymore given Devins high catch rate. That is one thing no one gives Devin any credit on, how much he has improved as a pass catcher. Now Moss...I would take Gibson over Moss any day of the week. Because they both lack vision, but at least Gibson can be dangerous if he gets lucky and finds a lane.
  19. Its like conditioner for your beard...keeps the beard soft and relaxed and the skin underneath from being irritated.
  20. No this board just hates Devin who they claim is too slow because they over value 40 times in shorts and have no idea how little that plays into a RB's ability to produce on the field. Meanwhile, Devin averages 4.7 YPC for his career (because he has great acceleration and change of direction speed and agility), but they want to trade for a "faster" guy who plays behind a better run blocking OL that is averaging 3.2 YPC and getting benched for a rookie who was shot in the leg 7 weeks ago and hasn't even gotten a chance to really play or get his feet back. The amount of disrespect people give to Devin, who just keeps producing when he is given chances too, is stunning. I mean when they finally committed to Devin and the run game last year, his production in those 7 games would have amounted to 1400 yards and 17 TD's over a full season. But you can't run the ball if you don't call run plays. And we just aren't calling many run plays (again) because the passing offense is dominating to where we are the highest scoring team in the league and had to sit our starters multiple times for an entire quarter due to blow out wins. CMC...Barkley...those guys are definitive upgrades. They are elite RB's...so they at least make sense in people desiring them because they are elite players. But Gibson? This dude can't hold onto his job, is terrible in pass protection, and didn't start playing RB until he got to the NFL where he had some mild success as a rookie but not done a lot since.
  21. He isn't a very good RB. He wasn't a RB, he converted to RB and has not demonstrated the instincts and pass blocking necessary to be leaned on as an every down RB. He has wheels, but that doesn't do you a lot of good if you don't have the vision and instincts to consistently find the lanes. Devin is literally a better RB by every measurable metric outside of top end speed. And we have James Cook already who adds speed and receiving ability, which are the best assets of Gibson. So, nah...I would rather keep our draft picks and go with the better RB in Devin and let Cook develop more and fill any role Gibson would bring.
  22. Lmao, just came across this...James Cook did an ad on instagram for a beard oil...and the comments are hilarious from his teammates like Diggs, Davis, Motor, etc.
  23. I would 100% trade a 2nd and Devin for CMC, even if its a 1 year rental. Devin walking anyway, plus maybe he will get me more points in fantasy if he went to a team that actually used him. But there is no denying, CMC is a game changer player. We got a serious shot at the SB right now, I have no objection to one all in move here to do everything possible to get us over the top for that Lombardi trophy this year. If we had recently won a SB, or had a bunch of SB wins under the belt...I would be less inclined for an all in move with how well we are playing. But damn, not only do I want to get there, I sure as heck don't wanna lose again if we get to the big dance. And having another elite player on the roster helps hedge against unforeseen things like injuries to other key weapons. So...while I am not convinced it happens...I would do this trade to make a major uptick in our SB victory odds. And I am usually against all in moves...unless you clearly have a STRONG path to the SB already like we do.
